In the heart of the city, you'll find a flat that stands out not only for its privileged location, but also for its harmonious arrangement of spaces, comfort and amenities.
Upon entering, you'll find a space that has been carefully thought out to provide comfort and practicality. With an east-facing dining area and fitted kitchen, a south-facing living room/bedroom with built-in wardrobes and a bathroom with shower, everything has been thought out so that you can enjoy a functional stay without any worries. The minimalist furniture and neutral tones on the walls add to the feeling of spaciousness, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere.
This accommodation is perfect for those who want to explore and have a more urban travelling experience. Being in the heart of the city, surrounded by cultural attractions, shops and leisure options, as well as essential services such as supermarkets, pharmacies and public transport, makes the stay much more convenient.
AREA
Accommodation in a building located in the city centre of Funchal. From this building, you can visit the main points of interest in the capital of Madeira Island on foot. It is close to restaurants, the Farmers' Market, Funchal Cathedral, the Municipal Garden, the Municipal Theatre, Funchal Marina, shopping centres, supermarkets, bars and museums.
In the city centre there is plenty of information on all kinds of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, extreme activities, nature activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There are bus stops near the flat.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Location and communication with the company. Located in Centro Funchal, close to everything you need. Also, the communication was very good with the company that owns the apartment.
First and foremost will be the cleanliness. When we arrived, we were told that the check in will take a bit longer because the apartment was recently painted. We checked in at 17:00 and we found a very dirty apartment, the floor was covered in dust and if you had white socks, say goodbye to them. 2nd worse thing was the bed. That was the loudest bed we ever slept in. Every single move you made in bed created awful noises. We had 2 small pillows, both of them very old and not comfortable at all. At one point, we genuinely wanted to sleep on the floor because we were woken up by each move we made in the bed. Another bad thing was the neighbors. We had another couple staying close to our apartment and they were extremely loud and fighting every night and the walls were so thin that you could hear everything they were saying/doing. The apartment came with a capsule Nescafe coffee machine but no capsules. They did not provide slippers even though it was so dirty in the house. We did not have hand soap, we had to buy ourselves, just like every other hygiene stuff for the shower. The closet has a very strong smell of mold and after 1 day, all of our clothes were smelly so we had to keep them on the couch. We paid 560 euros for 6 nights and it was extremely overpriced for what we got. Nonetheless, our vacation was truly amazing and Madeira is a beautiful place.

Lenzuola sporche, con macchie gialle, abbiamo dormito senza.
Doccia pessima, piccola, sporca e con gli sportelli che a fatica si chiudevano.

Come scritto, il parcheggio non è compreso e vengono consigliati alcuni parcheggi, ma sarebbe bene specificare che sono tutti quanti a pagamento. Con i soldi spesi per il parcheggio di una settimana potevamo andare in una struttura più costosa ma con parcheggio gratuito.

Nice apartment in very good location, good place for a young couple. Only negative part was difficult to get parking, we parked at "Parking Santa Luzia" which was €4.50 for 24Hrs and a 12min walk. Also the shower is extremely small with barely enough room to turn in, it would be extreamly difficult for an elderly person or someone carrying weight to use.

Le logement est facile d'accès et bien situé dans le bas de la ville de Funchal, a proximité de commerces (supermachés Anadia ou continente) et réseau de bus.
L'appartement est au 3 avec ascenseur, bien équipé pour la cuisine et dispose aussi d'un lave-linge et étendoir. La douche mérite une petite réparation (qui sera surement prise en charge rapidement) et la salle de bain est correcte avec serviette et gel douche/shampoing fourni.
Durant notre passage (juillet 2024) il faisait assez chaud, nous fermions les volets le jour et l'ouverture des 3 fenêtres permettaient de faire un courant d'air la nuit (moyennement bruyant), mais un ventilateur serait certainement le bienvenu.
La rue est en sens unique et le trafique pas particulièrement abondant.
Pas de place de parking dans la rue, mais un parking couvert/sécurisé (Santa Luzia) et peu cher (4.5E max/jour) se situe à une dizaine de minutes de marche, très pratique si vous avez une voiture.
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour ici! :)

L’appartement est assez cosy on s’y sent vite à l’aise, il est bien situé dans Funchal, proche des restaurants et cafés.
Pour le parking nous avons utilisé le Santa Luzia Parking qui est a 4,50€/jour mais il à 10min à pied de l’appartement.

Superb central location, very close to the old town and the newer town too.

Het appartement is goed en alles voor handen, de keuken is goed uitgerust.
De bedden zijn ook goed, wat aan de harde kant.
Echter de prijs kwaliteit laat wel te wensen over.
Er is een grote onderhoudsbeurt nodig, zoals schimmel in de badkamer, lekkende douchebak, douche was ook erg klein, verstopte wasbak. Schimmel bij de koelkast. Schimmel/viezigheid bij de wasmachine deur. Wij vinden het niet netjes dat ze zoveel euro voor dit vragen.
De communicatie was oke, we hebben vragen gesteld over parkeren, hierin kregen we goede opties, echter vergaten ze te vertellen dat het op zaterdag vanaf een bepaald uur en zondag gratis parkeren is.
De locatie was oke, je moet even lopen maar dat vinden wij niet erg.
De bedden zijn ook goed, wat aan de harde kant.
Echter de prijs kwaliteit laat wel te wensen over.
Er is een grote onderhoudsbeurt nodig, zoals schimmel in de badkamer, lekkende douchebak, douche was ook erg klein, verstopte wasbak. Schimmel bij de koelkast. Schimmel/viezigheid bij de wasmachine deur. Wij vinden het niet netjes dat ze zoveel euro voor dit vragen.

Tolle Lage. Direkt im Zentrum aber ruhig in einer Seitenstraße.

This Airbnb was perfect for my husband and I! We stayed two weeks here and were able to see a lot of the island. It’s very close to 2 grocery stores (2 minute walk). Within walking distance to the marina. And there were bus stops reaching all destinations either out on the street infront of the Airbnb or along the marina! I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need!
Also there is a car rental place right outside the apartment (you can see it from the window) it’s called 7M, we rented a car for 1 day to reach a couple places and ended up travelling around the entire island!
Everything was perfect!

Fantastic location& easy to walk about in the city.
Parking @ Santa Luzia - Rua 5 de Outubro, 9000-216 Funchal
A 9 min walk but well worth the €12 for 3 days.
Do not eat at the Nepalese restaurant on the street - really poor quality / quantity of food + belligerent owner when we complained!
