Located in the southwest shoreline, Calheta is the biggest municipality in Madeira most sun-exposed place in the island. In Calheta you can find a great yellow sand beach, located in the city center; a great selection of restaurants. Calheta has also a contemporary art museum, where you can find good exhibitions and performances.
