This 3-bedroom villa is located in the highlands of Ponta do Sol and is ideal for a peaceful and relaxing stay on Madeira Island. With a capacity to accommodate up to 6 people, this spacious house offers the comfort and privacy you need for your vacation.
As you enter the villa, a spacious living room, decorated with a modern and cozy touch, welcomes you. There are three elegant bedrooms, each with a double bed and two bathrooms with a shower. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious meals to enjoy in the adjoining dining room, which overlooks the garden.
The outside space of this villa is truly enchanting, with a well-kept garden and a small swimming pool for a refreshing dip on warmer days.
In addition, the villa offers private parking, providing convenience for those who choose to rent a car and explore the island.
The location in the highlands of Ponta do Sol offers a breathtaking view of the valley, with truly inspiring scenery.
Please note that this villa does not accept children, which makes it especially suitable for groups of adults.
AREA
The house is located in the southwest of the island, in the municipality of Ponta do Sol. This property is a 10-minute drive from the center of Ponta do Sol, where you can find a pebble beach, several restaurants, cafés and some local stores. In the municipality of Ribeira Brava, which is a 10-minute drive away, you'll find supermarkets, a market, the Madeira Ethnographic Museum and some local shops.
In Ponta do Sol, Ribeira Brava and Calheta you'll find more restaurants, supermarkets and local stores. Take the opportunity to visit Calheta, a 13-minute drive away, where you can dive into the waters off the sandy beach, visit the Marina, the "Casa das Mudas" Contemporary Art Museum and the Calheta Sugar Mills.
Funchal is 25 minutes away by car and the airport is 35 minutes away.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the apartment.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Ponta do Sol. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Just few things to know:
1. The road to villa is very steep, I mean VERY VERY steep! Maybe steepest street in all our trip! You need to be great driver and have strong car!
2. Few times we lost electricity and car gates didn’t open/close so we closed them manually.
3. Rooms are not soundproof!
4. Normally is very nice, relaxing place to spent your holidays but every morning we heard a lot of dogs sounds from the forest so we couldn’t sleep well.
But all 5 of us were very happy with this villa choise! Very beautiful and great for the price!

Pool could be a little bigger but not the biggest downside. Installing air-conditioning would be nice as the house got really warm even during the night and the fans were not as strong in cooling the house down.

The views are great.
The location is very silent and peaceful.
Everything looks like in the pictures.
The check-in was a bit confusing because of the communication made though other channels then Airbnb, but the host responded fast and made everything clear.
We have dropped 2 stars from the overall rating because of the following two aspects.
We chose the location mainly for the pool and decided to go over our budget for this reason.
The host failed to inform us that the pool is damaged and not available prior arrival.
We checked and discovered that other previous guests already mentioned this in a previous review.
The second reason are the beds.
The mattress is practically a soft sponge and you will sleep on the wood frame. The pillows are solid and bend your neck. These items are probably the lowest quality you can buy.
If the host manages to fix these aspects, which don't rise to the luxurious level presented, I would recommend this location.

If you plan to stay here, I would suggest that you both should have a car (there's virtually nothing in easy walking distance) and be comfortable driving up some steep roads. (Pro-tip: instead of taking a very sharp right onto the street you can drive up, turn around, and then be able to make an easier left hand turn.) Generally speaking, having a car in Madeira is nice and makes it much easier to get around.
