Apartment with balcony, in a renovated historic building, equipped with all the facilities for a fantastic vacation in Funchal. Located in one of the downtown areas of the capital of Madeira Island, this building is close to services, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions.
Functional one-bedroom apartment, with balcony, on the 3rd floor of a historic building, with good natural light, contemporary decor inspired by traditional elements of the island, such as wickerwork, and landscapes of old Madeira. Ideal accommodation for a business or leisure trip. It offers every comfort and convenience for a pleasant stay, with a living area, TV with cable channels, sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning, dining area, bathroom with shower and bedroom with double bed. Maximum capacity for 4 people.

AREA
Guests have quick and easy access to various restaurants, stores, shopping centers and supermarkets.
This building is very close to the Farmers' Market, Funchal's Old Town and the Cathedral. From here you can explore the city's many tourist attractions on foot (e.g. cable car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...).
Barreirinha’s beach or São Tiago’s beach is about fifteen minutes away on foot, where you can relax and take a dip.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the apartment.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

The day we arrived we got email threatening to report us to, as they put it "the relevant authorities" for not paying 28 Euros city tax that we knew nothing about. Paid it immediately but why the awful aggressive message?? Apartment was up 5 flights of stairs with no lift that we were also not aware of an as you can imagine having to heave all our luggage up 5 flights on arrival was awful. Not to mention going up and down these all day long after being out walking. Would not have booked to stay here if this had been mentioned clearly in the listing . Balcony view not as described and definitely not sea view unless u got out your binoculors. Directly opposite the balcony just a few feet away was looking straight on to a awful derelict building with broken windows, worse balcony view we have ever had.
The listing needs updating to clearly state the 5 flights of stairs and pictures need to show the grotty view.

Die Wohnung ist geräumig, sauber und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Besonders toll fanden wir die Dachterrasse, wo man schön sitzen kann. Das TV ist smart, so dass Streamingdienste und auch Konsole gut funktionieren. Wer einen Mietwagen hat, kann diesen in einer Garage in der Nähe für relativ günstiges Geld (5€ pro Tag) abstellen.
Die Wohnung ist von einem gewerblichen Vermieter, dementsprechend ist die Wohnung eher zweckmäßig eingerichtet als besonders gemütlich.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen.

Alles op loopafstand. Parkeergarage op 7 minuten lopen. Boulevard op 3 min lopen. Veel keuze uit restaurantjes, ook voor ontbijt en lunch. Madeiranen zijn erg vriendelijk. Het hele eiland doorkruist. Steeds weer andere natuur.
Haast bestaat niet op Madeira.

The furnishings of the accommodation are quite simple but functional. Especially as there are many restaurants and bars nearby, so you don't necessarily have to cook in the apartment.
One negative point is the view, which is "out the back" and so you have the house opposite in front of your nose (but there is still a little view of the sea). In addition, in the mornings there is a rather fiddly noise from the ventilation system there. This can be annoying when you're sitting on the terrace for breakfast in the morning. On the other side, the rear side is quieter (apart from the noise of the ventilation system) as it is not on the side of the main road.

Everything was great! Maybe a bit noisy if you are bothered by the noise of city life, but it was charming to us, especially at night, when you could hear live music from the nearby cafes.
