Apartment in a renovated historic building, equipped with all the facilities for a fantastic vacation in Funchal. Located in one of the downtown areas of the capital of Madeira Island, this building is close to services, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions.
Functional one-bedroom apartment on the 1st floor of a historic building, with good natural light, contemporary decor inspired by traditional elements of the island, such as wickerwork, and landscapes of old Madeira. Ideal accommodation for a business or leisure trip. It offers every comfort and convenience for a pleasant stay, with a living area, TV with cable channels, sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning, dining area, bathroom with shower and bedroom with double bed. Maximum capacity for 4 people.

AREA
Guests have quick and easy access to various restaurants, stores, shopping centers and supermarkets.
This building is very close to the Farmers' Market, Funchal's Old Town and the Cathedral. From here you can explore the city's many tourist attractions on foot (e.g. cable car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...).
Barreirinha’s beach or São Tiago’s beach is about fifteen minutes away on foot, where you can relax and take a dip.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the apartment.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Shower with good strength and lots of hot water that is very important after big cold hikes in the mountains.
Location is great, right next to bus stop and 5-10 minute walk to the pier, to the center, to all the amazing restaurants.
I particularly enjoyed the window nook.
It's next to a tiny street that has some street parking available most of the time. We didn't have a problem.

the shower is a bit tricky as the water spills out of it. there’s no window in the bathroom, just a fan so we ended up having a wet bathroom floor most of the time.

We had a great stay! The location was perfect, right in the center of downtown Funchal, which was super convenient to walk to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping areas and explore downtown Funchal. Parking, events, and restaurants were recommended by An Island which was helpful. Parking lot was about 3 min walk away, however overnight parking costed 15 euros a night. Apartment itself was very clean, tidy, and had everything we needed! Only downfall was that the room hadn’t been cleaned yet from the previous stay when we arrived for our check-in, so we were stranded for about 3 hours before we could settle into the Airbnb.

Great location with self check-in, very cozy apartment in the old town of Funchal. From here you can walk everywhere... Nearby is the Mercado dos Lavradores, also a supermarket, promenade, taverns, cable car to Montes mountain. The apartment has everything you need for comfortable living. All city attraction are in walking distance - Mercado dos Lavradores, Funchal cable car, Museu de Electricidade Casa da Luz
All bus stops very close, shopping center too.
Top Poncha bar Rei da Poncha just 100 meters :)
Noise from street (bus stop just under the windows) if you keep windows open and you want to sleep longer
Small disadvantage for those having car - you need to manage parking, but there are several non-expensive options available

Our apartmen on the first floor was a clean and well-equipped with everythink we needed for our stay.
Very central location in downtown, and good access to shops, restaurants and promenade.
The bed could have been more comfy and less squeaky.
Due to central location evenings are rather noisy from trafic on the street, but still oké.

Doskonała lokalizacja, apartament położony blisko większości ciekawych obiektów i bardzo dobrze skomunikowany. Posiada wszelkie potrzebne sprzęty i udogodnienia. Proces rezerwacji wyróżnia się bardzo dobrą organizacją - wszystkie potrzebne informacje są zgromadzone jednym miejscu i łatwo dostępne.
Jedynym minusem jest umiarkowany hałas spowodowany bliskością przystanku autobusowego. Nie występuje on jednak w nocy.

Appartamento bello, nuovo, dotato di ogni comfort. Posizione ottimale per visitare Funchal senza muovere la macchina, e buon punto di partenza per girare l'intera isola. Non c'è un parcheggio in struttura ma a circa 5 minuti c'è un silos a pagamento (ci sono pochissimi parcheggi gratuiti in città, io li ho sempre trovati già occupati). Il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile, anche tramite chat.
