Studio in a historic building that, in the past, was a cultural space of high importance in Funchal, having over a time functioned as a cinema. This building with three floors addresses a decoration with different themes of some of the great classics of the seventh art.
This studio is located on floor 1 of a former cultural space, now fully renovated, transformed and decorated with details that highlight the Scandinavian/Avant-garde (Dogville) Style.
The decoration has been thought out in detail and combines cultural elements with the most sought after in a travel context: practicality, modernity and comfort.
This property has a maximum capacity to accommodate 2 people. It offers an open space area with different living areas, a double bed, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a bathroom with shower.
The building has a common entrance to all the properties and is located in Rua Ivens, behind the Funchal Municipal Garden, one of the main arteries of the city.

Building located in Rua Ivens, behind the Municipal Garden of Funchal and 1 minute walk from the Municipal Theatre Baltazar Dias. From this building you can get to know and visit on foot the main points of interest of the capital of Madeira Island. It is close to restaurants, shopping centres, bars, museums, the Cathedral of Funchal, Funchal Marina, Santa Catarina Park.
In the city centre there is plenty of information about all sorts of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.

You have access to all areas of the property.

We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Ich war 10 Tage im Apartment von dort zu arbeiten und um die Altstadt zu genießen. Die Lage war ausgezeichnet. Die Ausstattung war hervorragend. Sogar eine Waschmaschine gab es. In der Küche gab es einen Herd mit Mikrowellenfunktion. Die Betten waren fester als Härte 3 aber ich habe dort gut geschlafen. Direkt in der Nähe gibt es Einkaufszentrum Plaza mit einer komfortablen Tiefgarage die am Wochenende sogar frei ist. Der Kundenservice war ausgezeichnet und hat sofort auf meine Mails reagiert.
Mein Apartment lag zur Straße mit Kopfsteinpflaster nach Norden. Entsprechend laut waren die Rollgeräusche der Autos. Bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen war unmöglich. Während meines Aufenthaltes haben der benachbarte Zahnärzte neue Ausrüstung bekommen und es wurde ständig gebohrt. Ich hatte aber einen Noise Canceling Kopfhörer dabei. Das Apartment verfügt nicht über einen Tisch und Stuhl sondern lediglich zwei Barhocker und ein Brett an der Wand. Zum Arbeiten nicht gut geeignet. Man bekommt aber 10% Rabatt im Cowork Funchal in der Nähe. Das elektronische Schloss an der Türe erfordert einiges an Geduld und Zeit bis es schließlich nach einer Denkpause öffnet. Die Steckdose in der Küche war stromlos. Das konnte nicht behoben werden. Das Apartment eignet sich nicht für einen Aufenthalt zum Arbeiten und zum Aufenthalt während des Tages, da zu laut. Auf der südlichen Seite des Hause gehen die Fenster auf einen ruhigen Innenhof. Allerdings sind diese wesentlich teurer. Ich werde dort nicht mehr buchen.

Mooi studio appartement op hele centrale locatie. Modern appartement, prima schoon, tijdens ons verblijf van 12 dagen kregen we ook eenmaal schoon bedlinnen en schone handdoeken. Appartement heeft ook een was/droog combi, fijn voor vieze kleren na hikes.
Het was echt ontzettend heet in het appartement, nog warmer dan buiten en we kregen de warmte er niet uit. Ventilator bracht weinig verlichting, lijkt een structureel probleem te zijn.

Hello,
It's a shame that you didn't communicate with us during your stay. He's saying: "No contact with the landlord apart from impersonal and generic emails with sometimes absurd content".. and the only thing that the guest have reported was this issue through Booking.com: "Good Evening, Just for information, door of ice compartment in refrigerator is broken. No need for repair now, just info."
So, the only problem of this guest was ice compartment in refrigerator and we have fixed that after his check-out as he requested. Unfortunately, guests like these who try to defraud our properties are not welcome in our properties.
It's a shame that you didn't communicate with us during your stay. A comunicação com quem gere o estabelecimento é simples, assim como o check-in.
Providenciam azeite, sal, pimenta e café.
A cama faz um barulho enorme sempre que nos mexemos, tendo sido difícil dormir em condições.
As toalhas e roupa de cama tinham algumas manchas.
Não existe estacionamento público nas proximidades, no entanto existe a possibilidade de estacionamento coberto a poucos metros e com um valor acessível por dia (4,50€).
A localização é excelente.
A comunicação com quem gere o estabelecimento é simples, assim como o check-in.
Providenciam azeite, sal, pimenta e café.
A cama faz um barulho enorme sempre que nos mexemos, tendo sido difícil dormir em condições.
As toalhas e roupa de cama tinham algumas manchas.

Nice apartment in great location. Clean and nice room. Fantastic system to open a door without keys.
Apartment without AC and even in October was warm in a room. We slept with open window but was really loudly from the street.

Super lokalizacja, apartament wyposażony we wszystkie najpotrzebniejsze produkty i akcesoria, gdyby nie problem z drzwiami wszystko byłoby super.
Duży problem z drzwiami do mieszkania, nie ma klucza, wchodzi się na kod który nie zawsze działa i często zacina się, trzeba wpisywać kod dopóki drzwi się nie otworzą czasem trwało to nawet 20minut. Trochę hałas z ulicy ale to jest centrum miasta więc zrozumiałe

It is close to city center. Check-in and check-out was easy.
It is noisy, the apartment is tiny and uncomfortable. Not worth the price in my opinion, if I would not choose this accomodation again.

Excelente localização e cama confortável.
Ralo do lavatório completamente entupido logo à chegada.
Apesar de ter percebido que estava a alugar um apartamento com sala (com kitchen), wc e quarto afinal o apartamento não tinha sala.
As cadeiras são altas e pouco confortáveis para quem alugou uma semana a casa sem ter outro tipo de assento sem ser a cama.
Por sua vez a cama rangia como se fosse do século passado.
A casa devia de ter zonas onde fosse possível deixar a secar fatos de banho e/ou toalhas.
Ralo do lavatório completamente entupido logo à chegada.

Em relação ao problema do lavatório e da cama ranger, lamentamos que tenha passado por isso. A nossa equipa de manutenção já resolveu a situação. Quanto ao apartamento não ter sala, está na descrição do anúncio bem como nas fotos. Em relação ao local para deixar a roupa a secar, não temos. Contudo, existe uma máquina de secar onde podia secar a sua roupa rapidamente.

As toalhas e panos de cozinha estavam encardidas, o frigorifico estava cheio de água, o ralo do lavatório do wc estava completamente entupido, as toalhas deviam ser trocadas a cada 3 dias, as duas únicas cadeiras eram altas e pouco confortáveis, não tínhamos local para colocar a secar os fatos de banho ou toalhas de praia, a cama rangia imenso.

We had a fantastic experience at CinePark Residences! The location is superb, and the apartment was clean and spacious, featuring ample closet space, a fully equipped kitchen, and even a washing machine.
One comment: the street number was incorrect in the advertisement, it took us a very long time to check in. And; soap for the washing machine would be great.

Très sympa pour 2 personnes pour quelques jours à Funchal. Situation exceptionnelle pour visiter Funchal.
Très propre, moderne (tv connectée), cuisine ultra équipée avec des condiments de base.
Seul bémol, la literie qui pourrait être plus confortable !

It is a nice flat in the city center and very well equipped. Big shopping center is in its neighborhood. Not comfortable bed is only one minus but still we had great stay in Funchal.

An island apart... a fantastic stay! it was a small but well kept apartment with everything you need. Well equipped kitchen which we used a few times to prep packed lunches for hikes and it could be used to prepare hot meals too. we found the washer dryer to be helpful in being able to reuse some clothes as we only had backpacks. We were also pleasantly surprised to find out that the apartment would be cleaned halfway through our stay. Location was also fantastic, right in the centre of funchal with a short walk to the sea! Great stay overall!

posizione ottima e camera esteticamente molto bella e nuova!
Impossibile dormire su un letto così. Appena ci si muove di anche solo un centimetro si sente un rumore pazzesco!!! La tavoletta del water era rotta e mi cadeva addosso ogni volta che mi sedevo. La maniglia della porta di entrata era rotta, si staccava ogni volta che si apriva la porta. Nessun servizio di pulizia è stato effettuato durante i 7 gg di permanenza. Asciugamani cambiati dopo 2 giorni dal nostro arrivo (ne hanno portato solo uno anche se eravamo in due, dopo 2 giorni ci hanno portato il secondo). Ma che logica c'è poi? Cambiate gli asciugamani a 2 giorni dall'arrivo e poi mai più? Ci hanno lasciato comunque gli asciugamani sporchi...

A great stay at the heart of Funchal.
Shopping mall right next to the flat with cafes & proper grocery store etc. Clean and modern place, just like in the photos.
Minor minuses: Some occational noise from the street during the evening. No private parking spot, however quite reasonable parking prices at the La Vie shopping mall

De locatie is geweldig. Het appartement is gloednieuw en van veel gemakken voorzien. Het ziet er allemaal super goed uit!
Slapen op dit bed is erg moeilijk. De veren zijn simpelweg te aanwezig om lekker te liggen. Elke keer als m’n partner bewoog werd ik wakker omdat de veren zo doortrillen. Ook is het appartement erg warm en zit het aan een drukke de straat, een raam open zetten zorgt er dus ook voor dat je niet erg goed slaapt. De ventilator doet weinig wat betreft het verkoelen van de ruimte.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern und sehr sauber. Alle wichtigen Utensilien (Bügeleisen, Waschmaschine, Geschirr, etc.) sind vorhanden. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, was auch super ist.
