AREA
The building has a common entrance to all the properties and is located in Rua da Carreira, one of the main arteries of Funchal. From this property you will be able to know and visit on foot the main points of interest of the capital of Madeira Island. It is close to restaurants, shopping centres, bars, museums, the Cathedral of Funchal, Funchal Municipal Garden, Marina of Funchal and Municipal Theatre.
In the city centre there is plenty of information about all kinds of activities you can do during your holidays: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Only complaint which has nothing to do with the apartment itself is that the airport transfer we booked at the end of the trip (through the check-in and check-out process of the condo) did not show up and they did not answer the emergency phone number. This left us scrambling to find a last minute option (Uber) . Not the best way to end a vacation.

The room was big and it had a well equipped kitchen, with a washing machine and dryer (which can in very handy).
For the money we paid, I expected the place to be more clean. I think they only vacuum the place, they don't really use a mop and the floor tends to be a bit sticky. Also the carpet had a funny odour.

Mieliśmy problem z wejściem do mieszkania bo kod nie działał. Mimo próby kontaktu jedynymi osobami, które prosiły o cierpliwość były panie sprzątające obiekt, które próbowały rozwiązać problem. Poza tym ok.

When it comes to the property itself, you can definitely notice the effort & resources invested to build/renovate it. It was designed by someone with an eye to the detail.
It is definitely impressive how quite it was for the location it has!
A great plus I could add to, is the code system, which allows you to think about an item less :)
Alert- I am a very picky guest and it is likely others might not agree with the below :)
The place has a great potential. I personally liked how new everything was- from the tiles, plints, floors to the meubels themselves. However, the impression me and my partner were left with about the particular room we had is that it is somehow not well maintained.
Upon our arrival we instanly noticed a smell coming from the batrhoom & the canalization. The shower cabin itself was not well cleaned- there was dirt & mold stuck between the tiles (thankfully, with a quick whatsapp message that was instantly resolved. Great reaction there! ). Yet, such instances set your vacation to a bad start. Especially, when I used to work in housekeeping and I am aware that it is possible to keep this part well maintained. It is a small effort at each cleaning. That also includes the glass door, which already had drops & some fingers on, when we arrived. While the issue was resolved, we did enjoy a whole night bleach smell coming from our bathroom, which ( again) is not a pain to die from, but brings the wrong mood.
The small things.
We definitely missed getting our towells changed. The property does have a washing machine, but when you are on a vacation, it adds a nice touch to let someone else take care of these things. :) Add it as a paid option, perhaps?
Everybody travels from afar before reaching Madeira. We often don't want to bring our big bottles of shampoo. conditioners, toothpaste etc. Having those taken care of would be very helpful. Why not get involved with a local brand and make a nice partnership? :)
I would love to avoid buying whole bottles again. And the random plastic bottle left on the floor of the shower cabin, does not seem to me trustworthy either. :)
The unexpected guests
Oh yeah, we kept our windows closed and used mainly airco, and we kept the little food we had in the fridge.

Im Bad hat es nach wenigen Tagen nach Fisch gestunken, wir hatten lauter Haare, die nicht unsere waren, im Bett. Nach Beschwerde wurde die Bettwäsche gewechselt. Es gibt keine Lüftung im Bad

Communication with hosts was not so good, Could defenitely improve.

A few things that amount to niggles were mentioned to host via direct feedback. They are easy to upgrade or correct and is a newish property so not worth a detailed booking.com mention. Its the difference between a 9 and a 10 only.

Ich habe nur 4 Sterne von 5 gegeben, weil uns ein paar Dinge gefehlt haben (aber da sind sie denke ich auf Erfahrungen von Gästen angewiesen. Das lässt sich dann schnell ändern 😊)
Wir lieben aber frische Luft und haben Klimaanlagen nicht so gerne, daher haben uns nicht aufmachbaren Fenster etwas gestört (oder wir haben es einfach nicht geschafft sie zu öffnen 😅)
