AREA
The building has a common entrance to all the properties and is located in Rua da Carreira, one of the main arteries of Funchal. From this property you will be able to know and visit on foot the main points of interest of the capital of Madeira Island. It is close to restaurants, shopping centres, bars, museums, the Cathedral of Funchal, Funchal Municipal Garden, Marina of Funchal and Municipal Theatre.
In the city centre there is plenty of information about all kinds of activities you can do during your holidays: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATION
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

In one of the most popular/important streets in the centre of Funchal, lots of coffee shops nearby, souvenir and other shops, opposite Museum of Madeira Photography, near Blandy wine tasting, Praca do Municipio with a lovely cathedral, close to the lovely Santa Catarina park and the sea. Has everything you need in an appartment, washing and drying machine, cutlery, plates, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, you name it. It was spotless, shoutout to the cleaning ladies! I also loved that I was on the first floor facing the street, so I could enjoy in savouring Madeira’s sun from early morning on my balcony.

We stayed for a full week, and everything was just as other reviewers described: clean, well-located in the city center, and overall a nice apartment.
However, I want to highlight one important issue that was mentioned in only one other review: noise at night. Throughout the night, we could clearly hear a persistent noise coming from the apartment, which was quite disruptive. There were two alternating levels of noise:one was a constant vibration, similar to a fridge or ventilation system, while the other was louder, more intense.
Both my wife and I are very sensitive to noise. For example, we struggle to sleep if a fridge is running close to us. While I understand that not everyone is as sensitive, if you require absolute silence to sleep, this could be a problem. Even with earplugs, the noise remained noticeable. We spent a lot of time trying to fall asleep due to this ongoing sound.
Unfortunately, because of this, we wouldn't stay here again.

Dieses 35qm- Studio bot alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt als Selbstersorger benötigt. Auch wenn die Küche winzig war, konnte man sich Essen dank der guten, praktischen Ausstattung zubereiten. Toll ist bei AIA, dass Dinge wie Salz, Pfeffer, Öl, Kaffee, Tee (ggf. Filtertüten) gestellt werden.

Das Apartment sah aus wie auf den Fotos. Ordentlich, sauber und hell. Der Check-in war total unkompliziert. Besonders praktisch war der Wasch-Trockner. Und auch sonst hatten wir alles was wir brauchten. Auch der Kontakt war super. Bei Fragen bekamen wir immer direkt eine Antwort und zwischendurch wurde sogar einmal das komplette Apartment geputzt. Wir können die Wohnung also nur weiter empfehlen.

The building was nice. In the apartment it self was very nice. It was clean it was big for 2 persons. Enough resources for cooking.

We had a great time staying in this cozy and clean room. The high ceilings made it feel spacious, and the bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed. The location is perfect, close to everything. Perfect location on a quiet road a couple of minutes from the main square. Apartment is in a nice old building and is stylish and well equipped. We had no problems with noise at night unlike some previous reviewers.

Très bel appartement avec bon rapport qualité/prix. Tout est accessible à pied, le quartier est très agréable. Le sol bémol est que nous étions au premier étage côté rue, donc le bruit des voitures sur les pavés peut être gênant.

Location is good but noisy, room is light, good bathroom
The sink which was blocked and no efforts from staff to fix it , had to fix it ourselves. The toilet was not clean.And we have to share one bed. The person who was responsible was not helpful and did not react on time.

I’ve visited Funchal 3 times and this is my favourite place I’ve stayed! The apartment is modern and airy, and in a fantastic location in the heart of Funchal! Plenty of great restaurants and bars close by!

I cannot comment on this particular apartment because a few weeks before my arrival the host told me that they were having some technical problems and could not provide me with this place. In return, he offered me a smaller room for the same price. I didn't agree, so the host gave me a much larger apartment in a new building - Tanoeiros Residence. Spacious apartment, well-equipped, clean, right in the city center.
2 weeks before arrival, the host made me feel very stressed by informing me about technical problems in the room, but he agreed to gave us different apartment in other localisation.
Nobody picked up the garbage. We left the bags in the designated locker at the exit from the staircase, but no one took the bags and it stank.

Das Apartment ist mit einigen weiteren Apartments in einem alten, sehr geschmackvoll renovierten, Herrenhaus untergebracht.
Das Apartment wurde durchdacht und raffiniert in ein großes Zimmer des ehemaligen Herrenhauses eingerichtet.
Die Ausstattung lässt an nichts fehlen, inkl. kleinem Balkon.
Die Lage ist unschlagbar zentral, in der unmittelbarer Nähe zu Betten Restaurants, und sehr ruhig gelegen. Nur die - schmale und eher weniger befahrene - Straße lässt, aufgrund des Kopfsteinpflasters und eines Gullideckels, die ein oder andere Lärmspitze vernehmen.
Alles in allem eine perfekte Unterkunft zur Entdeckung von Funchal und Umgebung.

Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen!
Wunderschön, toll ausgestattet, sauber und super Lage in Funchal außerhalb der üblichen Touriburgen.
Der Service war unschlagbar gut, super gut organisiert per eigener Website und trotzdem mit persönlichem Ansprechpartner.

Great location in the middle of Funchal. Beautifully decorated, clean and well equipped with pretty much everything you need for a self catered stay at a very good value.
Some people might not like that there aren't any staff on site apart from the cleaners - everything is handled by messages and codes. It wasn't a problem for us though, it's very efficient and all worked easily.

Joli, soigné, bien situé, cuise très bien équipé (poêles, grille pain, râpe à fromage…).
L’hôte a été très réactif lorsque nous avons eu un soucis avec l’ouverture de la porte, en 10min un dimanche c’était réglé !

There is no parking on the same street but perfect parking place near R. Pimenta de Aguiar 14, free parking from 8pm-8am Mon-Fri, 2pm-8am Saturday and Free on Sunday. Just 5min downstairs to the apartaments

Reservamos um quarto com varanda. Problema é que o acesso à varanda era impossível devido ao manípulo estar partido, para além disso o ar condicionado não funcionava, mas após termos comunicado a manutenção consegui reparar o AC a situação da varanda não, mas também não fomos merecedores de uma explicação. Para agravar esta situação o quarto tinha odor a esgoto das canalizações. Senti-me enganado

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja w centrum Funchal. Apartament dobrze wyposażony, wygodna bezkluczykowa obsługa (wszystkie drzwi otwierane na kod). Bardzo dobry kontakt z wynajmującym. Możliwość zamówienia transferu z lotniska.
Nie jest to wada apartamentu i miałam świadomość, że będę mieszkać w centrum, na czym mi zależało, jednak w nocy na ulicy było bardzo głośno (przejazdy samochodów, śmieciarki) i w zasadzie nie dało się spać przy otwartym oknie.

Udogodnienia w pokoju. Możliwość gotowania i pralka z suszarką, co jest ważne w czasie gdy pogoda jest gorsza i gdy jest wilgotno. Super wygodna łazienka.
Czajnik w pokoju nie wyłaczał sie automatycznie. Musieliśmy go pilnować i wyłączać go sami, bo inaczej cała kuchnia była zaparowana.

Location and apartment was very good, a little bit too tiny in the kitchen. The kitchen was not working for left handed people. My biggest complaint is that the Tv did not work, which I emailed you the first day of arrival and which was not working when we left and it was Importen for me for a number of reasons. I had expected that you would give us some kind of a compensation at place. I delivered my part and paid and I expected you would do the same.

The location is perfect for exploring Funchal and surrounding areas. There is a taxi rank located close by, although we ended up renting a motorbike which can be parked for free in the city centre. The apartment itself was lovely and spacious, would highly recommend, the apartment was well equipped to be self-sufficient. The balcony was a nice touch.

The location was perfect, walking distance from attractions in a peaceful area with lots to do. The room itself was neat and clean, although a couple of things were faulty when we arrived. The host could do better with communication, and assign a person rather than a system, to keep things clear, as there was a lot of mixed communication. Overall would recommend and would stay again!

El diseño es hermoso, es realmente lo que se ve en las fotos, la ubicación perfecta, súper céntrica, el apartamento está muy completo y todo es nuevo, es muy limpio.
cuesta un poco comunicarse con el personal para los detalles que se pueden presentar en la estadía, no hay opción de comunicarse por WhatsApp hasta que no estés instalado y para los extranjeros hacer llamadas no siempre es posible y luego la comunicación por WhatsApp es muy lenta porque no hay respuesta inmediata. En mi caso al pasar 10 días hubo temas como las toallas o consultas de cómo abrir el balcón que quise hacer y no me fue posible. Sin embargo todo lo demás es excelente
cuesta un poco comunicarse con el personal para los detalles que se pueden presentar en la estadía, no hay opción de comunicarse por WhatsApp hasta que no estés instalado y para los extranjeros hacer llamadas no siempre es posible y luego la comunicación por WhatsApp es muy lenta porque no hay respuesta inmediata.
