This apartment is located in a quiet residential area, close to the center of Funchal. Its location allows you to move easily to any place in the city or the island, with close access to the highway that connects the east, west and north of the island.
Nearby you will find some cafes, snack-bars and small grocery stores. The nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away by car.
TRANSPORT
For departures and arrivals from the airport, the best option to reach the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the cabs you find at the airport!

Well equipped kitchen if you want to cook. A very nice balcony and very comfy double bed.
The apartment is located not so central but for us it was ideal because it was quite and non touristy with walking distance to all restaurants and tourist attractions. Highly recommended👌🏻 We liked everything.
Maybe to note for some people - an apartment is located on the hill so you'll need to climb some stairs every day. But it's perfect way to burn some extra kcal from delicious Madeira food.

Lovely apartment located about 15-20min walk from the centre of Funchal. It was quiet and spacious with a private balcony that had a gorgeous view! The host's neighbour kindly gave us a loaf of bread with homemade jam, which was unexpected but thoroughly appreciated :). The hosts were easy to contact, overall, we had a wonderful stay!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appartement. Il est très sympa et fonctionnel, la vue est top et les volumes sont agréables. Cependant, nous sommes partis en août, nous avons donc passé le séjour avec les fenêtres ouvertes et il est vrai que le snack en bas de l’immeuble est vraiment bruyant. Le centre de Funchal est à 15min à pied, attention à la côte en remontant ! Mis à part ça les hôtes sont très réactifs et sérieux. Nous avons réservé un transfert via leur compagnie partenaire qui nous a déposé devant l’appartement. Très pratique. Merci à An Island Apart !

The location of the Airbnb was fantastic, offering easy access to all the key attractions. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom and some of the towels could have been better. The parking place was very tiny too and we had to find another place to park. Despite this, we had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay.

The apartment is well located, you can reach the centre of Funchal perfectly on foot. There are shops nearby and lots to discover. The garage is in a very narrow street, which caused me a bit of trouble. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and the terrace is a dream!

We stayed in the apartment for 4 nights in the beginning of our Madeira holidays and it was great. Very spacious, everything you need, amazing terrace and view over Funchal an the sea. It was very easy to get to the historic centre of Funchal on foot (ca 5-10 min walk down the hill). The garage is very convenient and quite spacious too, and it is also easy to reach by car (streets are narrow but we had a small car so this was no issue). We would definitely recommend this apartment!

Schöne Wohnung, hoch am Berg gelegen. Wir hatten dadurch einen tollen Blick auf die Stadt von unserer Terrasse aus. Der Weg zur Wohnung aus der Stadt kommend ist jedoch recht lang und steil. Es empfiehlt sich auch ein eher kleiner Mietwagen, da es mitunter sehr eng in den schmalen Gassen wird. Die Wohnung ist recht groß, gut ausgestattet, jedoch recht laut. Ein großer Pluspunkt war die sehr gastfreundliche Nachbarin, die sehr dazu beigetragen hat, dass wir uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

Bien situé à 15mn du centre à pieds , vue sur ville et mer à partir du balcon, parking très appréciable et pratique appartement bien équipé (sauf chauffe-eau qui ne s'enclenche qu'au bout de 5 à 10 mn....) La terrasse donne l'illusion d'un appartement en étage alors qu'en fait de l'autre coté de l'appartement les pièces (salle de bain, cuisine et surtout chambre) sont en rez-de-chaussé donnant sur une ruelle très bruyante avec café en face de la chambre, voitures et scooter qui se garent et démarrent en plein nuit sous les fenêtres nécessairement fermées.
L'immeuble est lui même très bruyant avec bruit d'écoulement d'eau ,claquement de porte, chien qui aboie à toute heure ... et quelque chose d'inédit : le mur de la chambre est mitoyen avec le hall d'entrée et comporte l'armoire encastrée des compteurs d'eau ....qui font un joli "tic tac " ininterrompu lorsque que les gens de l'immeuble font couler leur eau .... à toute heure de la nuit et surtout le matin quand les lève-tôt prennent leur douche. Quand on loue un appartement à ce prix on devrait toujours passer soi même plusieurs nuits pour se rendre compte des conditions.

The balcony view is stunning. Very nice sunsets and sunrises right at home. The apartment has a very cool vibe with lots of appliances. Definitely not for light sleepers, quite a bit of noise from the downstairs cafe but wasn’t necessarily a problem for me. I would mention only thing is they take a bit to respond if something happens. Since this is a property management service I felt the responses were delayed Vs an independent host. Apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay and suitably equipped to cook an evening meal. Lovely terrace with fantastic views. The owner's mother lives across the way and provided friendly assistance when needed as well as some wonderful homemade bread. Streets are narrow and cars are parked terribly, so very hard to negotiate, especially some days getting out of the garage because of parking opposite. Also, road very difficult to find the first time especially arriving in the dark. Also note, the control for the garage door is inside the apartment (would have been better to have known this before arrival). There is a cafe opposite and the owner likes to hold court, usually between 0700 & 2200, not too bad if you keep the windows closed but no air con. Finally, whilst not a particular problem for us as we are fit, great views mean you are high up. It is only 10-15 minute walk to the seafront but on the way back it is very steep.

Die Ausstattung und die Aussicht der Wohnung waren sehr schön. Es fehlte einem nichts. Sehr schön war auch die Garage mit direktem Aufzug. Wir waren etwas früher an der Unterkunft und nach einem kurzen Telefonat und 15min später, kam dann auch schon jemand und hat uns die Schlüssel vorbei gebracht. Super freundlicher Service. Leider war es jeden Tag sehr laut, so dass das schlafen sehr schwierig ist. Zum einem liegt es an dem Cafe gegenüber dem Schlafzimmer, welches ab 6.00 morgens bis teilweise 0.00 besucht ist. Zum anderen gibt es in der Nachbarschaft einige Hunde die sehr oft bellen. Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig und den Wasserzähler hört man leider auch ständig klopfen. Trotz wenig Schlaf, war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Tudo! Vista muito linda para a ilha! Móveis limpos e confortáveis! Tinha muitas formigas na cozinha, devido ao calor da época acredito. Por isso não era possível deixar nada de alimentos fora da geladeira. Sugiro aplicar algum produto para elimina- las. Ademais estava tudo perfeito!

Die lage der Wohnung in der Altstadt und nicht im Hotelviertel. Die Lautstärke der Bar/Kramladen gegenüber bzw. die frühen Anlieferungen von Waren ab 6:00 Uhr morgens.
Die Beleuchtung im Bad/am Waschbecken dürfte ein bisschen heller sein; vor allem beim Rasieren.

The apart has everything you need, has a wonderful view from the balcony on the hills of Funchal and the ocean. There is a small house nearby with three dogs barking randomly throughout every single night. In front of the apart there is a small "cafe" where locals tend to gather everyday. Sometimes it gets really loud.

Very big apartment with a lovely balcony and great view. Coffee (drip coffee maker and percolator) was a great addition. No bath, but shower had great water pressure.
Easy and quick walk down to centre of Funchal.
Parking was great in our own private space in the communal garage - although road is very, very narrow and angle of entry into garage requires a bit of forward and back. Would recommend a very small car as driving to the flat initially in our (big rental) car was stressful.
Staff were very quick to reply via online service, with lots of helpful information. This was excellent. Slight smell to kitchen which was flagged to the management.

Great spot that gives you easy access to explore all of Madeira. The Terrace was our favourite with great views over Funchal + live weather forecast. The parking was bigger than expected which was a happy surprise, however highly recommend a small car as the roads to get there are very narrow.

Nice place for a short stay, great view from balcony and also easy check-in process although we wished an earlier check-in is allowed (set at 4pm). Walkable to town as well so very good if not hiring a car, although there's a stretch that is quite hilly.
Only thing that slighted us during our stay was when we heard the door unlocking while we were in. It turns out to be a staff member returning an item, but gave us a real shock - imagine a stranger having the keys to and stepping inside your property all of a sudden.
We received an apology around 2 days after we left them a message - saying it was an error on their part for not notifying us in advance.

This was a replacement apartment for one canceled by another host. Boy did we fall lucky. Great location, tastefully appointed, spacious, and fully equipped for our stay. The balcony was a really unexpected bonus with fantastic views over Funchal Bay. The neighbour next door was so kind and welcoming and elevated our stay beyond our expectations. We will definitely be returning.

La terrasse avec la vue mer, l’appartement spacieux et confortable. L’avantage d’avoir une place de parking qui est rare dans Funchal. L’appartement a besoin d’un rafraîchissement: peinture dans la salle de bains et chambre à coucher. Le rideaux de douche, ça serait mieux de poser une porte de douche. Conseil: prendre en location un petit véhicule comme les ruelles dans la vieille ville de Funchal sont assez étroites et aussi pour pouvoir entrer dans le garage.

The location is good as it is close to the center. It’s also spacious. The communication with the host is great. However, the bedroom and bathroom have some mould. It can also get fairly noisy due to a shop just in front of the building on the other side of the road (which is super narrow). Solid place to stay for 1-2 nights if you are tight on the budget or in case there are no other places available.

Great central location - the city centre is just minutes away! The apartment is well equipped and the view from the terrace is just magnificent. Some furniture seems a bit used, but we didn’t have any crucial problems during our stay. Good value/price!

Der Stellplatz für ein Mietwagen in der Garage war super, nur etwas schwierig dort einzuparken (alles sehr eng). Außerdem hat uns die Terrasse mit dem Sonnenschirm sehr gefallen, sowie die Ausstattung der Küche. Sehr freundliche Nachbarn nebenan, wir haben Kuchen und eine Papaya von ihrem Baum geschenkt bekommen. Leider war es nachts sehr laut, das ganze Gebäude ist sehr hellhörig. Zum Einen waren die Nachbarn über uns sehr laut, zum anderen liegt ein Café direkt gegenüber vom Schlafzimmer. Das Schlafzimmer liegt ebenfalls an der Straße, sodass Schlafen mit geöffnetem Fenster fast unmöglich war. Außerdem ist hinter dem Bett in der Wand der Wasserzähler des Gebäudes montiert, dieser ist ebenfalls sehr laut.

The flat was well equipped with appliances. The outside furniture could be more comfortable but was adequate. We had a lovely time. It would have helped to talk to a real person as we found it hard working out bus services and best places to go to. When we phoned for a replacement kitchen gadget this was responded to the next day. The street and local dogs are very noisy so the windows have be closed at night. We would go back but would choose somewhere without such a steep hill.

wir hatten eine top Zeit in Funchal. Auch wenn sich der Check-in etwas holprig gestaltet hat, haben wir dadurch gleich die madeiranische Gastfreundschaft erfahren dürfen der lieben Nachbarin- die uns mit einem Abendessen verwöhnt hat und uns noch mit selbstgebackenem Brot und Süssigkeiten versorgt hat für den nächsten Tag! Wir würden jederzeit wieder dahin zurückkehren.

The accommodation is nice, clean and well-located. You have a fabolous view from the terrace of the city, the sea and the castle. Especially in the evening/night time, the environment around you is sparkling. If you plan a trip to Madeira it‘s definitely recommended. But if there’s one thing I have to find fault with then I have to say that in the sleeping room is mold on the wall…But they told me that they want to take care of it. All in all it was a great stay and an excellent communication!

The highlight of the apartment was most definitely the private terrace and the view over the old town and harbour. It was a steep climb to the apartment but the view was worth it, was great watching activity in the harbour and seeing the cloud formations and views change. The apartment was quiet and in a non-tourist area which was good. It was spacious and the furniture/decor was an interesting mixture of antique and modern. It has a spacious kitchen with micro, full oven/grill and cooker. It was also great having a washing machine and dishwasher. It was really irritating having to go through a separate registration process when the agent would have had all the details via the Booking.com booking - this was unnecessarily time-consuming. There were also some basic safety issues that could easily be addressed- there was step up to the bathroom which was very difficult to see given the flooring colour/type - a simple strip of white tape on the step would look fine and prevent accidents. It didn't bother us that the bathroom was not next to the bedroom (which other reviewers remarked on) but the step you couldn't see did. The shower recess was very slippery with a glass soap dispenser which I dropped with slippery hands and it shattered around my bare feet- should either have had it fixed to the wall or provide a plastic one. The kitchen had an interesting arrray of cooking implements primarily of a size appropriate to feed a family of at least a dozen so - difficult to find things small enough for two.

Die Lage in der Altstadt: Nah an den Menschen und weit genug weg von der Hotelmeile. Besonders gefiel uns der traumhaft schöne Blick auf die Bucht. Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Von der Wäscheklammer bis hin zum Gläschen für einen Schluck Madeira ist alles vorhanden. Super! Gleich um die Ecke befindet sich ein kleiner Laden, der gut sortiert ist. Die Nähe zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten, Aktivitäten und der Gastronomie in Funchal war für uns perfekt. Der Stellplatz in der Tiefgarage ist sehr praktisch. Wir vermissten einen bequemen Liegestuhl auf der Dachterrasse. Das hat den schönen Aufenthalt aber nicht wirklich getrübt.

We had a great stay in funchal! The apartement has a parking garage what was extremely helpful. The wonderful terrace offers a great view over the city! The host‘s mum brought us some fresh bread and jam as a present what was very special and lovely. The apartment itself is nice and offers a lot of space, although you will notice it is already many years old. Bring some mosquito protection with you and you will have a great stay!

Excellent séjour. Appartement impeccable et très fonctionnel avec une superbe vue. Proche d’un supermarché Continente à cinq minutes en voiture. Musée Quinta das Cruz à cinq minutes à pied, centre-ville à 15 minutes à pied. Opter pour une petite voiture car les rues sont étroites et l’entrée et sortie du garage parfois malaisées,il est desservi par ascenseur. Voies d’accès faciles pour sortir de Funchal Rien

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans l'appartement qui est grand, propre, très bien équipé et très fonctionnel. Le plus : la terrasse où nous avons pu prendre nos repas. Nous recommandons. Petit bémol : la chambre est mal située, trop proche de l'entrée de l'immeuble, le bruit peut gêné. Pour informations : il y a des moustiques et prévoir des tablettes lave-vaisselle pour pouvoir l'utiliser.

Die Wohnung ist groß und geräumig und ist mit allem ausgestattet was man so benötigt. Besonders die Terrasse ist ein Highlight der Wohnung, mit einem tollen Blick über Funchal. Die Wohnung ist tatsächlich sehr hellhörig und da das Schlafzimmer zur Straße liegt, konnten wir nicht mit offenem Fenster schlafen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr zentral und man ist in ein paar Minuten am Hafen (der Weg ist recht steil).

Wir (3 Personen) hatten einen entspannten Aufenthalt in der Wohnung von An Island. Die Kommunikation war hervorragend und der Check-in problemlos. Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem einfachen Wohngebiet, ist sehr geräumig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Betten sind bequem und ermöglichten uns einen angenehmen Schlaf. Zudem bietet die Wohnung viele Extras. So befindet sich im Wohnzimmer ein Ventilator und in der Küche, neben allen anderen notwendigen elektrischen Geräte, sogar eine Spülmaschine. Auch eine Waschmaschine ist im Badbereich vorhanden. Vom Balkon hat man einen wundervollen Ausblick auf Funchal. Die Wohnung liegt nicht weit vom Zentrum und der Hafenpromenade. Man sollte aber gut zu Fuß sein, da der Aufstieg zum Teil uneben und steil ist. Gerne komme ich wieder!

Geräumiges Apartment ganz in der Nähe des Zentrums von Funchal. Für den Aufstieg aus der Altstadt sollte man aber gut zu Fuß sein. Die Betreung durch AIA war ganz toll! Ich habe mich gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Nach vier Tagen gab es sogar eine Zwischenreinigung und neue Handtücher. Wunderbare Aussicht vom Balkon auf Funchal. In der Küche, die gut ausgestattet ist, gibt es sogar eine Spülmaschine. Angenehme, freundliche Nachbarschaft, nur die Hunde der Umgebung bellen abends leider manchmal viel und laut. Ich würde sofort nochmals Urlaub dort machen. 👍🏼

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cet appartement. Le centre ville n'est pas très loin mais en pente très forte, mais ça c'est très souvent sur Madère ! la terrasse est plus rustique que sur la photo mais agréable quand même. Les lits sont confortables (chambre et canapé convertible) . Propreté impeccable.

Schöne Aussicht von der Terrasse aus zum Meer, Tiefgarage für das Auto Schlafzimmer ca. 1m von der Straße entfernt, die Nachbarn gegenüber ca. 5m. Hinter dem Bett war der Wasserzähler für das Ganze Haus sowie die Eingangstüre, alles sehr laut!!! Unterm Bad war das Garagentor, bei jedem betätigen in der Nacht denkst du da steht jemand in deiner Wohnung. Küche war grundsätzlich vorhanden, jedoch nicht im geringsten zum Kochen ausgerüstet. Waschmaschine hat funktioniert, sauber geworden ist allerdings nichts!

We enjoyed our stay in the center of Funchal (June, 2021). Apartment is cozy but very loud. Sleep-killing noises from 7 am on each day. This was very annoying and made our stay on Madeira less enjoyable. Additionally, cleanliness could be improved.
It should also be mentioned that access to the location and parking lot is a nightmare. Recommended only for skilled drivers and regular-sized rental cars.
However, seaside view is awesome and overall we were happy with the apartment.

L'appartement est très bien situé, bien équipé. La propreté est impeccable et l'appartement spacieux. La terrasse est très agréable mais quelque chaises longues seraient vraiment appréciables. La place est un atout indéniable, surtout dans une ville comme Funchal. Malheureusement l'isolation phonique de l'appartement laisse à désirer. Nous avons été dérangés par les bruits de tuyaux. C'est dommage pour cet appartement qui présente beaucoup d'avantages !

Terrace was a highlight of this place with great view and a sunshade (but lacked a sunbed). Kitchen was well equipped and spacious. The furniture were stylish and created a nice atmosphere. There were a lot of containers for small things and even a radio with CD player. The host is very friendly and responsive. Bedroom was located just beside building entrance and door banging could wake you up. Street was not so noisy compared to that. Somehow we got a feeling that apartment was pretty but could be designed better - there was no place to put your jacket in the hall, bedroom wardrobe had no enough shelves to put your cloths, the bathroom could easily fit a bath but had a shower with hanging cloth which caused water to splash on the floor a little and you had to open 2 doors in kitchen to get to the fridge located inside.

Our morning routines on sunny terrace were absolutely amazing. Lovely owner of the apartment lives next door and brought for us homemade bread and jam. We had there extraordinary time there. Decent internet speed download 20-30mbs upload 20mbs Moist on top of the wall and ceiling. Apartment needs to be refreshed. However moist on Madeira is common issue.

Schönes gemütliches Apartment, etwas erhöht, mit phantastischem Blick von der Terrasse über die Stadt bis zum Meer und Hafen. Zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten in das Zentrum. Die Ausstattung war gut, wir haben nichts vermisst. Eine 2. Heizung wurde uns sofort auf Anfrage gebracht. Maria von An Island Apart und Fabio waren sehr hilfsbereit, bei Nachfragen sofort zur Stelle und haben innerhalb kürzester Zeit reagiert. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

The flat was really big and had a wonderful view of the ocean/island from the patio. Unfortunately, as it is a ground floor and close to the street, there is a lot of noise especially from the bedroom at night. The kitchen is very spacious but for some reason there was a strange smell seemingly coming from the plumbing. Other than that, the hosts were great, Christmas cookies when we came in! And Christmas cake and wine on Christmas Eve! The garage parking space is also a huge benefit!

From neighbours that play loud music all night, the traffic that almost drives through the bedroom and the slamming front door next to the bedroom: this place is not the quiet apartment that is advertised. The mattress is rather thing and the iron springs make it uncomfortable. We would recommend to stay away from this apartment, for this price.

Sehr schöne und saubere Unterkunft. Super Service vom Vermieter. Sehr gute und auch zeitnahe Kommunikation. Kurzer (aber steiler) Fußweg in die Stadt. Wohnung ist relativ hellhörig. Sehr enge und zugeparkte Straßen auf dem Weg zur Wohnung, für einen geübten Fahrer aber zu bewältigen. Gerne wieder!

Auch wärend Corona, respektive nach dem Lockdown ist Madeira eine Reise wert. Man fühlt sich sicher und die Regeln werden einem gut erklärt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen, in ca. 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuss im Zentrum der Altstadt mit vielen Restaurants und Läden. Die Terasse bietet einen wunderschönen Ausblick über Funchal bis ans Meer. Der Check-In ging einfach und schnell vonstatten. Wir hatten sogar eine Reinung der Wohnung nach 7 Tagen, da wir 2 Wochen blieben. Alles wichtige ist vorhanden und bei Fragen sind die Gastgeber immer erreichbar und Antworten auch sehr schnell auf Nachrichten. Ich kann diese Wohnung nur empfehlen.

If you are going to Madeira and if you're considering to stay here, you will not be dissadpointet, so "just do it"
The apartment is well equipped, with a great location if you value peaceful surroundings away from the touristic areas (but not more than 5-7 minuts from the old town at foot) this is it.
Everything was perfect, great tips to restaurants, suggestions for tours, help never more than a phone call or "chat" away - super professional.

Apparemment très propre,et fonctionnel avec une terrasse tellement agréable,bien équipé. parking juste indispensable à Funchal, rues assez étroites donc prevoir une petite voiture ou de taille moyenne ...petit détail tout minime: tout petit bruit de tuyauterie dans la chambre mais nous avons très bien dormis quand même. A very spacious apartment with a veranda overlooking Funchal and surrounding properties. The living space had a quirky mix of traditional and contemporary furniture. The location was very quiet, interesting to be alongside local residents and only 15 minutes walk from the centre. Although we didn't use it, it was a bonus to have a basement garage. Good to have a real oven in the kitchen. Pickup from airport and at end of stay very efficient. TTM rep was very nice and helpful. The kitchen was a little spartan and had that musty smell you often get where there is an extractor into a communal airshaft. The pots and pans were a random assortment, often better suited to a large family. The TTM bureaucracy is a real pain - instead of simply relying on Booking.com data they have their own systems that are totally unnecessary and you are bombarded with urgent messages to update their system.

Hemos pasado una semana en Madeira y en el apartamento nos hemos encontrado como en casa. Equipado con todo lo que necesitas, muy limpio y tal y como aparece en las fotos. Si vas con coche no tendrás problemas porque tiene parking, si no está un poco alejado del centro. Seguro que si volvemos a Madeira volveremos a ponernos en contacto con Travel To Madeira porque la comunicación y el trato han sido muy agradables.

Das Apartment liegt in Funchal erhöht mit einem schönen Blick über den Hafen ca. 5-10 Gehminuten von der Innenstadt entfernt. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön ausgestattet und für zwei Personen mehr als ausreichend. In der Küche sind alle wichtigen dinge wie Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Spülmaschine, Wasserkocher ... vorhanden. Das Wohnzimmer und die Terasse sind sehr schön und laden zu gemütlichen Abenden ein. Die Tiefgarage ist ebenfalls sehr praktisch wenn man ein Mietauto besitzt (wie in unserem Fall) ... das Auto sollte nur nicht allzu groß sein ;-). Die Lage im allgemeinen ist sehr ruhig, da nur wenig Verkehr durch die Straßen vor dem Haus fährt Das einzige was es an der Unterkunft zu bemängeln gab war die Lautstärke des Garagentors, welches sich unter der Wohnung befindet und dadurch teilweise gut zu hören ist. Ebenfalls ist die Wasserversorgung teilweise zu hören. Wenn man nicht Lärm empfintlich ist, stellt dies kein Problem dar.

I přes 2 h zpoždění letu na nás transfer na letišti čekal. Hned po příletu nám volala paní z ubytování. Měla trpělivost s naší špatnou angličtinou. Vše vysvětlila, ukázala. Apartmán byl nad očekávání vybaven dokonce mýdlem na ruce, jarem, gelem na praní, utěrkama na nádobí, olejem, solí, kávou. Do detailu promyšlený a vybavený. Ve sklepě zarezervované místo na parkování, za což jsme byli vděční, protože parkovat v těch úzkých a strmých uličkách by nás stalo mnoho úsilí. Toto ubytování bylo zatím nejlepší, co jsem zažila.

Great apartment in a great location. Just about 10 minutes of walking to the center. It has all appliances that may be needed. The highlight is the balcony with city/ocean view. It's a treat to enjoy sunrise while having breakfast or watch the city lights while having a drink. All in all a great place and definetly recommended.

A good place on a beautiful island. Has enough space and all required amenities. Situated close enough to walk to the city center or shopping mall. Also there is a small shop down the street with some water/snacks/fruits for breakfast. As a minus I would only mention that it is situated on the first floor and bedroom windows face the street, so it might be a bit noisy in the evening, but nothing critical. Has a nice and clean garage, but be careful, the street is narrow and it might be hard to enter/exit it if you are not used to such conditions. In general, this is a nice place to enjoy the island.

Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern hat sehr gut funktioniert! Sie haben auch für den Transport vom Flughafen zur Wohnung gesorgt. Die Wohnung selbst ist genau wie auf den Fotos. Sehr schön eingerichtet und hübsch dekoriert. Da wir mit unserem kleinen Sohn nicht immer essen gehen wollten haben wir auch viel selber gekocht. Die Küche hat dafür voll und ganz ausgereicht. Und die wunderschöne Terrasse kann wohl kein Restaurant toppen. Wir haben nicht nur draußen gegessen, sondern von der Terrasse auch jeden Morgen einen sehr schönen Blick auf den Sonnenaufgang und die Altstadt genossen. Das einzige das uns aufgefallen ist, waren ein paar feuchte Stellen an einer Wand im Schlafzimmer. Vielleicht ist in der Wand ein Wasserrohr defekt. Ansonsten wirklich alles top!! Wir haben auf jeden Fall unseren ersten Familienurlaub sehr schön gefunden!!

Un accueil très chaleureux par Francisco dans ce superbe appartement au 1er niveau d’un immeuble sur les hauteurs de Funchal. Très grand et décoré avec goût, nous avons pu profiter de sa terrasse tous les matins pour le petit déjeuner, avec une vue sur la ville et le port. Une cuisine toute équipée, une salle de bain avec une grande douche fonctionnelle, une chambre avec des rangements et une literie très confortable, un parking souterrain pour garer la voiture de location, rien ne manque, tout y est vraiment. A dix minutes à pied du très accueillant muséum café restaurant des arts, le retour par les petites rues vous facilitera la digestion, même s'il faut monter ! Si nous devions trouver un point négatif, nous pourrions peut être juste regretter une isolation phonique insuffisante de la chambre (bruit des tuyauteries d’eau de l’appartement du dessus et de l’entrée de l’immeuble mitoyenne par un mur). C’est surprenant pour un tel appartement réalisé avec le soin du détail, mais bon, nous nous en sommes accommodés. Un très bel endroit donc pour découvrir cette île.
