A fantastic vacation home with a shared swimming pool and sauna, for a unique experience between wine and the laurissilva forest.

Set in a vineyard estate of around 25,000m2, it is located in a transition zone between the laurel forest and the farmland of São Vicente. The terraced vineyards are home to the Tinta Negra and Verdelho grape varieties, which produce the famous Madeira wine. The property is part of a group of houses where you'll find a shared swimming pool, sauna and several gardens with centuries-old trees, including a large oak tree over 250 years old and several species endemic to the Laurissilva such as its, vinháticos, barbusanos and loureiros. The house is decorated with various details, in a fusion of the classic and the contemporary, in keeping with the tradition of a family home. The property has capacity for 4 people, with a bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a sofa bed. Inside the property you can enjoy the shared swimming pool and sauna, a stroll along the stream and the gardens or the yard outside, where you can have breakfast (not included), made every morning by the caretaker. The main house has belonged to the same family since its inception and retains its original architecture, although it has undergone improvements and modernization. AREA The house is located in the north of the island, more precisely in Rosário, a parish in the municipality of São Vicente. As it is in a more isolated area, there are no shops in the vicinity of the property. A ten-minute drive from the town of São Vicente, you'll find local shops, restaurants, a supermarket and a pharmacy. In the vicinity of the house you have access to several trails and levadas, where you can take the opportunity to stroll and explore our fantastic island on foot. If you want to find other places or activities, the city of Funchal is a 45-minute drive away. PROPERTY RULES To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance. • Parties or events are not permitted. • Pets are not permitted. • Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night. The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property. In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes. Municipal tourist tax (when applicable): €2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival. Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability. Check-in: from 16:00 | Check-out: by 12:00 Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge. By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions. OTHER NOTES All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket. For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.
