Drapes Design Apartments occupies the former Madeira Embroidery Factory, today transformed into a modern building where each floor pays tribute to a traditional stitching technique. The first floor consists of two connected studios, each with a double bed, bathroom, and fully equipped kitchenette. Together, they accommodate up to four guests, making this floor ideal for families, couples travelling together, or guests who want more privacy. The building features a shared rooftop terrace, complete with an outdoor kitchen and seating area, perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. A shared laundry room is also available for guest use. AREA A few metres from this property is the Edifício Anadia, a shopping centre with several shops, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket, in a privileged central area, right in the heart of the city of Funchal. A stone's throw from the Lavradores Market and the Old Town of Funchal, from here you can explore on foot the several touristic points of our beautiful city (ex. Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Sé Catedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...). At the building's exit you have an excellent connection to the local bus network and to the entire island, covering the east and west zones, so you won't need to walk far if you want to enjoy these services. PROPERTY RULES To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property. A fine of €300 will be charged for non-compliance. • Parties or events are not permitted. • Pets are not permitted. • Please be considerate of your neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night. The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, a member of our team may contact you. You are not permitted to disable, cover or tamper this or any other equipment installed on the property. In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration purposes. Municipal tourist tax (when applicable): €2.00 per person/night for guests aged 13 and above, up to a maximum of 7 nights (€14.00 per person per stay). A payment link will be sent prior to arrival. Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If it is not arranged at least 48 hours beforehand, check-in will be subject to our team’s availability. Check-in: from 16:00 | Check-out: by 12:00 Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and an additional charge. By confirming your reservation, all guests agree to our house rules and accommodation conditions. OTHER NOTES All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide, free of charge, a baby travel crib, high chair and baby bath upon request before check-in. Requests made less than 48 hours before arrival may be subject to an additional fee. All properties are equipped with a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket. For stays of 8 nights or more, a mid-stay service is provided, including the replenishment of bed linen, towels and consumables only. This service is not included for shorter stays. Additional cleaning services during your stay are available on request at an extra charge.
