Tradicional casa madeirense recuperada e integrada num espaço de pura paisagem natural, com decoração rústica, ambiente confortável e um conceito de partilha de espaços que fará com que sinta um ambiente familiar. Ideal para umas férias relaxadas em contacto com a natureza… e em qualquer altura do ano.
O Solar dos Reis dispõe de um amplo espaço comum a todos os hóspedes, cozinha e sala de estar. Separadamente, disponibiliza, cinco quartos com aquecimento, cama de casal/individual, mini bar, WC privado com duche e acesso direto ao exterior. Capacidade máxima para 2 pessoas, por quarto.
O jardim dá as boas-vindas aos visitantes. Ao percorrê-lo chega ao coração da casa, onde encontra um pátio cuja área central é ocupada pela casa-mãe, pequenos recantos, confortáveis zonas de estar e acesso ao restante espaço envolvente da propriedade. A piscina (aquecida) e as suas vistas deslumbram em toda a sua plenitude. Desfrute do espaço zen e faça exercício ao ar livre, conheça a horta biológica e percorra o mini-trilho dos pés-descalços (terapia de reflexologia natural).

ÁREA
O Solar dos Reis está situado na zona oeste da ilha (a zona com maior exposição solar da Madeira), na freguesia da Tabua, concelho da Ribeira Brava, numa área que faz fronteira com o concelho da Ponta do Sol.
Explore alguns dos interesses mais próximos da casa, como a Capela da Nossa Senhora da Conceição. Esta capela foi uma reconstrução da antiga capela com o mesmo nome, destruída no aluvião de 1696. Mesmo ao lado da Casa está, também, a conhecida Levada Nova, onde poderá explorar a pé e desfrutar das vistas deslumbrantes da zona oeste da Ilha da Madeira. Perto da Casa existe, também, uma ligação ao Paul da Serra por uma estrada de terra que pode ser percorrida de jipe, onde poderá aproveitar para explorar fazendo uma experiência mais radical.
Existem outros pontos de interesse a explorar durante a estadia no Solar dos Reis: o Miradouro do Espigão (Ribeira Brava), o MUDAS - Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Madeira (Calheta), a Praia da Ponta do Sol, o Museu Etnográfico da Madeira (Ribeira Brava) e mais.
O Funchal está a cerca de 20 minutos de carro de distância do Solar dos Reis.

A melhor opção para chegar à propriedade será o transfer. Peça-nos para marcar um com os nossos parceiros locais. É mais barato do que os táxis que encontra no aeroporto. Se alugar carro, qualquer aplicação de navegação encontra facilmente a morada.

Wir hatten die beste Zeit in der Unterkunft. Danilo war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die anderen Mitarbeiter:innen waren wirklich sehr aufmerksam und haben uns beim Frühstück rundum versorgt. Auch für uns als Vegetarier war die Auswahl beim Frühstück völlig ausreichend. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Resort wärmstens empfehlen. ☺️

Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Bit difficult to find with google maps but once on track it was all good. Very welcoming. Clean room, comfortable bed, gorgeous shower. Room was cleaned everyday. Continental Breakfast was all set up in a communal kitchen which was just right for a fab days activities on this beautiful island.
Stunning views from the immaculate gardens and terrace. Swimming pool was a welcoming bonus.
Walks from the door along a levada. Bar just up the road (very steep) but only 2 mins walk. Definitely need a car to get around but parking available at the accommodation.
Restaurants easily accessible by car in the local towns and lots to choose from.
Will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a fabulous week.

The breakfast was good - fairly healthy with fresh fruit supplied. A little more variation from day to day would be even better.
The accommodation was really nicely decorated. The pool was pretty small, but it didn't matter too much. It was nice to be able to have a dip in the pool.
It did rain quite a lot when we were there so somewhere to dry wet clothes would have been good. The room had a radiator but it was not on so our clothes remained wet.

Great communal breakfasts with cheerful staff happy to provide additional items like eggs etc. And the kitchen was there for us to use if we couldn't face yet another restaurant. It really felt like being house guests. The renovation of the house from what was a former wreck has been done brilliantly, and uses green energy solutions and high quality insulation etc. making it very comfortable.
The only possible criticism was the bed - bit creaky, and I'm not a fan of iron bedsteads. But that is being very picky, the room was very comfortable. And I suppose if you were here for more than 3 nights the drive up and down the valley might get tiresome.

Logement idéal pour le repos, le calme et la détente. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Danilo, ainsi que toute l’équipe. Le petit déjeuner est varié avec une ambiance détendu. Toutes les ustensiles de la cuisine sont a votre disposition pour cuisiner et il y a un petit frigo dans la chambre pour stocker vos courses. La maison se situe à environ 25 min de Funchal donc je vous conseille d’avoir une voiture mais elle est très bien située pour visiter à la fois l’est et l’ouest de l’ile sans être trop loin. La piscine est très agréable en fin de journée après une longue journée de randonnée :)

Een heerlijk verblijf gehad inclusief lekker ontbijt. Op aanvraag was een glutenvrij ontbijt geregeld. Vanuit het verwarmde zwembad een prachtig uitzicht. Keuken wordt gedeeld met verhuurder en andere gasten. Verhuurders zijn vriendelijk en flexibel. Dagelijks wordt de slaapkamer en badkamer schoongemaakt.

Bedankt voor je mooie review! We zijn blij te horen dat je verblijf zo aangenaam was en dat je genoten hebt van het heerlijke ontbijt, inclusief de mogelijkheid voor een glutenvrije optie. Het uitzicht vanuit het verwarmde zwembad is inderdaad prachtig, en we zijn blij dat je hiervan hebt kunnen genieten.

Fijn dat de gedeelde keuken goed beviel en dat je de vriendelijkheid en flexibiliteit van de verhuurders hebt ervaren. We doen ons best om onze gasten dagelijks comfort te bieden met de schoonmaak van de slaapkamer en badkamer.

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed it very much. The hotel room, common area and the outdoors are very well maintained and all little details are thought out. The location is good, it was easy to access any part of the island by car within short time and still stay in a beautiful and very quiet place. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good, the fruits and cereals are in buffet-style, the bread, cheese, ham and juice were in portions per person. However the kitchen is open for guests 24 hours, so it was always possible to have a cup of tea or grab some apples for a quick snack. The room were cleaned throuhoutly every day. And we really enjoyed the pool area and the garden outside. It was a bliss to stay in this place!
I would like if there was a garbage bin in the room also, additionally to the small bin in bathroom.

Die Unterkünfte ist sehr schön, leider das Frühstück nicht, wir waren 6 Nächte, es gab 4 Scheiben Käse (1,99€ die Packung), Schinken 4 Scheiben (1,99€ die Packung), es war nicht traditionell, es war sehr ernüchternd. Dafür gab es Eier auf Wunsch, hätte mir mehr vom Frühstück für diese Geld erwartet, haben 150€/Nacht gezahlt, Hotel gibt es dafür ein Büffet mit Auswahl. Schade.

Beautiful & quiet escape, hosts were lovely, the house is beautiful - as is the view. We took full advantage of the kitchen and chose to cook. Would recommend going for a shop before you head there - bit of a drive otherwise & there's a small fridge in your room to store everything.

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft, etwas abgelegen. Die Straße hoch zur Unterkunft ist gut zu fahren. Es gibt für jedes Zimmer auch ein Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Es ist schön ruhig. Die Familie ist sehr nett. Das Frühstück war lecker, es gab alles was das Herz begehrt. Die Küche kann man auch nutzen. Wir haben abends öfters selber gekocht. Der Pool ist traumhaft und war von der Temperatur perfekt.

Amazing place to stay, and we shall be back. The farmhouse is very nice, comfy and peaceful being a stones throw from walks and nature.
The kitchen facilities are great if you want to cook your own meals, breakfast was lovely. The staff were really nice and accommodating.
I’d say you’ll need a car as it’s a bit out the way from restaurants and supermarkets.
10/10 would recommend.

An excellent stay! Beautiful newly renovated property with lovely room and bathroom and pool area. Shared kitchen is well equipped. Amazing breakfast every morning with wonderful staff. The pool is heated with a lovely view. Location is secluded up a mountain, so car/ taxi necessary to reach property but 10-15min drive from local towns for dinner. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Madeira.

It was a beautiful Airbnb. The only issue I had was finding the Airbnb because the address given led me to multiple different places. It was after I looked at the photos on the website and compared it to the maps then I found it.

This place is lovely with a great peaceful location in the hills. It’s very sociable with communal breakfast. The rooms are really well planned, super clean and the shower is lovely. You do need a car to stay here as there is nothing nearby like restaurants etc which is not ideal but the location beauty makes up for it I think. We stayed for 6 nights and loved it.

To stay in Casa dos Reis was the best decision we could have made! Everything was perfect - the host, location, breakfast, room, price, swimming pool... We felt great there and didn't want to leave. I have no idea who or what „An Island Apart“ is. I never met anyone of them in person, nor did I speak with anyone of them on the phone. Instead we had contact with the owner of the house, Mr. Danilo. His opinion would be relevant for me.

The house is nicely located in a small valley and has recently been renovated. The guest rooms are located on the first floor and have no direct access to the terrace and the pool. The photos on the website give the impression of spacious and bright rooms. In reality our room was rather small and dark. This is why we decided to cancel after just one night instead of staying 5 nights as planned. We found a beautiful small holiday house with a garden for nearly the same price.

Ruhige Lage abseits der Touristenmassen mit schöner Garten- und Poolanlage. Dazu eine gut ausgestattet Gemeinschaftsküche.
Steile, kurvenreiche Anfahrt von etwa 10 Minuten ab der Küstenstraße, die für jeden Einkauf, Restaurantbesuch etc. absolviert werden muss. Leider gab es keine Klimaanlage und aufgrund dicker, aufgeheizter Zimmerwände bleibt es auch nachts bei geöffnetem Fenster warm. Das Zimmer ist recht klein und das Bett ist nicht komfortabel (man spürt die Federn und es quietscht bei jeder Bewegung selbst bei uns Leichtgewichten).

Beautiful place, very well maintained. Good breakfast, parking area, lovely scenery, pool and nice room.
On the second day of our stay a family gathering took place at the hotel. We felt quite unconfortable at the pool because of the fuss. We got offered a poncha and were then told to understand potugese familys. Ofcourse we understand, but we would have like to have to choice up ahead if we would be okay with it or not since we came for the quieteness. Instead of after booking and paying.

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner and staff are very friendly and make sure you have everything you need during your stay. Breakfast is included as well as every-day room cleaning.
Although close from nearby town and beaches, the location is rather away from the main road up in the hills, so it would be better to have a car. But the remoteness makes it extra quiet and authentic.
Property has a parking, but could be challenging if you are not use to steep roads.

I was very pleased with the place. The house is beautiful with traces of traditional Madeiran architecture, in addition to all the decoration that takes us back to the past. Breakfast was fantastic, with fresh fruit picked from the backyard and hot bread baked to order. The owners are very friendly and very helpful. I will definitely repeat the experience.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach top. Bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von dem Gastgeber Danilo begrüßt.

Die Anlage war perfekt für unseren Urlaub, ruhig gelegen und mit einer kurzen Autofahrt nach Funchal.
Die Atmosphäre in der Unterkunft war sehr angenehm und entschleunigt.

Der beheizte Pool war die richtige Erholung nach Wanderungen. Das Zimmer war stilvoll eingerichtet und wurde täglich gereinigt.

Morgens gab es ein leckeres Frühstück. Der Tisch wurde eingedeckt mit Brötchen, Aufschnitt, Marmelade sowie Kaffee und Orangensaft. Auf Wunsch gab es gekochte Eier oder Rührei. Zudem standen jeden Tag frisches Obst und weitere kleine Leckereien bereit.

Kurzum, vielen Dank für die schöne Unterbringung während unseres Urlaubs.

The accommodation was very comfortable, clean, owners friendly and the general ambience superb. If you are looking for quiet place where you can work or just relax, This is the place to go. For some it might be a “bit Deep in the Valley” and you might have to drive a bit further from the shore but those 5min are worth it. You are rewarded with silence, unique place and good night sleep.

Der Pool war wirklich sehr schön und angenehm. Wenn die Pflanzen in der sehr neuen Unterkunft angewachsen sind ist es sicher sehr schön dort.
Das Frühstück fanden wir leider eher dürftig, da gerade die Früchte welche es gab, meist nicht besonders genießbar waren. Die Einrichtung des Zimmers war uns viel zu kühl gehalten, was jedoch Geschmacksache ist.

Casa Dos Reis exceeded all our expectations and was simply perfect. What’s been created here is something really special and we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Beautiful rooms and surroundings, lovely breakfast and the most welcoming (& friendly!) hosts.
We hired a car and found the location to be great, no more than an hours drive from all locations around the island (and right near some really special sunset spots!).

Hier fühlt man sich sofort willkommen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommen. Es ist alles sehr familiär und man kommt durch das gemeinsame Frühstück auch schnell mit anderen Gästen in Kontakt.
Die beiden Gastgeber sind unheimlich umsorgt und möchten, dass sich jeder wohl fühlt. Die Unterkunft selbst ist wahnsinnig liebevoll, stilvoll und hochwertig saniert. Echt beeindruckend, wenn man sich die Ruine aus der es entstanden ist ansieht.

Definitely the highest recommendation on my list for somewhere to stay. Safe for all ages and types of travelers, Casa Dos Reis definitely felt like a home away from home. The facilities and room was so clean, the location was beautiful and calming, but the best part was the staff: so warm and welcoming.

Best place I have ever stayed!! Felt right at home immediately. The staff and host were so welcoming. It felt like a home away from home. Everything was absolutely beautiful and neat. They are very accommodating. This is a perfect location for all: solo travelers, female travelers, families, etc.. cannot rave about it enougj

We had an amazing stay at Casa dos Reis during our trip to Madeira. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home.

Danilo and staff were not only excellent hosts, but they were also wonderful people to spend time with. They were always available for a chat and they made us feel like part of the family during our stay.
The accommodation was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, with all the things we needed for a stay. The location was also great, with easy access to hiking trails like the Levada Nova and a short drive to Funchal or other areas in Madeira.
We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Beautiful, renovated place, surrounded by green hills and silence in which we spent one week. Everything (rooms, common area, swimming poll and garden) was very clean and well-kept.
All the staff was very helpful and the breakfast gave us strength for long trips every day.
Perfect location for trips all over Madeira but renting a car is recommended.
There was nothing we could complain about.

Accueil très attentionné par le propriétaire des lieux.
Personnel très aimable et attentionné.
Le lieu est idéal pour randonner sur la Levada Nova et pour accéder rapidement aux grandes voies de communication de l'île.
La maison, bâtiment ancien rénové avec goût et grand confort. Accès très libre à des espaces communs (cuisine/ salle à manger/ salon).
Piscine extérieure chauffée en hiver (bain très agréable après randonnée!) avec des dommages limités pour l'environnement (pompe à chaleur et panneaux solaires).
Les petits déjeuner sont copieux mais très classiques (continental breakfast).

Der familiengeführte Landsitz ist ganz neu nach altem Vorbild wieder aufgebaut worden. Das Haus und die Anlage sind geschmackvoll gestaltet und es gibt wunderschöne nachgebaute traditionelle Steinwände - auch innen im grossen Aufenthalts-und Küchenraum, wo das leckere und reichliche Frühstück serviert wird. Es gibt frisch gepressten Orangensaft, Obst aus dem Garten und auf Wunsch Rührei aus Eiern der Nachbarshühner.
Den schönen kleinen Pool und die Fitnessgeräte in der Aussenanlage konnte ich leider aufgrund der ungewöhnlich nassen und kalten Witterung nicht nutzen, umso glücklicher war ich um die ansprechende Ausstattung der Zimmer: eine seeehr bequeme Matratze und sogar eine Heizung! Schöne Einrichtung mit genug Stauraum und einem Schreibtisch. Für die heissen Tage oder den Sekt, steht im Zimmer ein kleiner Kühlschrank bereit!
Die Eigentümer sind sehr engagiert, den Aufenthalt auf dem Landsitz zu einer besonders angenehmen Zeit zu machen und sind aussergewöhnlich hilfsbereit!
Bei meiner Ankunft haben mir in meinem Zimmer hochwertige Willkommens-Leckereien die Ankunft versüßt.
Mir, als Wanderlustige kam ausserdem sehr entgegen, dass die Levada Nova ein paar Schritte von der Anlage entfernt entlang läuft und ich direkt nach dem Frühstück loswandern konnte.
Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Kaum Hundebellen zu hören, was teilweise auf Madeira doch recht anstrengend sein kann und es gibt keinen Straßenlärm.
Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber und bis auf ein nächstes Mal!
Ich kann dringend ein Auto empfehlen, falls man sich für diese Unterkunft entscheidet, da die Busverbindung - in den doch etwas abgelegenen Ort - zu wünschen übrig lässt.
