Na zona oeste da ilha, esta bonita casa oferece piscina, jacuzzi e churrasco num cenário perfeito e isolado.
Situada numa zona agrícola, esta casa teve uma renovação completa em 2020 transformando-a numa propriedade contemporânea, com materiais acima da média, numa intervenção arquitectónica de excelência.
Privilegiando a luz natural, todo o interior oferece conforto. Mas o mais provável será querer estar todo o tempo no exterior da casa. Enquadrado com o mar e com a serra, a zona de lazer conta com piscina, jacuzzi, churrasco, relvado e solar.
Com dois quartos no 1º piso, ambos com cama de casal, e um sofá-cama, esta propriedade alberga no máximo 6 adultos. Possui três casas de banho, sendo uma de serviço no andar térreo.
ÁREA
O sítio da Maloeira, na Fajã da Ovelha terá paz e sossego. Os ares do campo são perfeitos para libertar todo o stress e aproveitar momentos de calma e paz, numa espécie de ‘reset’ citadino.
Com uma grande exposição solar durante todo o ano, o concelho da Calheta é também convidativo a se partir à descoberta da Ilha da Madeira.
A cerca de 20 minutos de carro está no centro da Calheta onde encontrará a praia de areia amarela, vários restaurantes, um supermercado e o fantástico Museu de Arte Contemporânea.
O Jardim do Mar e o Paul do Mar estão a cerca de 10 minutos de carro. Estas duas pequenas vilas oferecem praia, animação e uma beleza muito próprias.
A cerca de 200 metros da casa tem uma pequena mercearia com produtos frescos.
COMO CHEGAR
A melhor opção para chegar à propriedade será o transfer. Peça-nos para marcar um com os nossos parceiros locais. É mais barato do que os táxis que encontra no aeroporto. Se alugar carro, qualquer aplicação de navegação encontra facilmente a morada.

Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war etwas holprig: wir hatten Stromausfälle (nach Gewitter & auch einfach mal so), durch das Fenster im Schlafzimmer kam der Regen, die Informationen hatten wir übermittelt, die Antworten darauf empfanden wir als sparsam. Vielleicht alles bekannt, aber wir wären gerne ein wenig mehr abgeholt worden. Alles kein Drama, aber in dem Moment waren wir doch immer etwas überrascht. Als alte Madeira-Hasen ist uns Vergleichbares bislang nicht begegnet.

Für meinen Komfort hat eine Spülmaschine gefehlt. Der Sonnenschirm war zu klein für die Fläche oben am Pool . Pool nicht zum schwimmen geeignet.

De directe omgeving doet een beetje somber en levenloos aan. Veel bouwvallige, slooppanden in de buurt. Een vaatwasser heb ik echt gemist, evenals een kapstok. Tijdens onze eerste rit naar het adres, gaf de navigatie een verkeerde richting aan. Vraag daarom vooraf naar de gps coördinaten aan de host.

Ein zweiter kleiner Kritikpunkt: Die Alarmanlage hat leider nirgends eine Bedienungsanleitung und so hatten wir leider zwei Mal Schwierigkeiten, diese wieder aus zu bekommen. Etwas unglücklich, diese unerklärt den Gästen zu überlassen und im Kontext von Punkt eins einfach etwas fraglich, wozu es diese Anlage auf Madeira braucht?
In Summe aber eine Top Villa / Unterkunft, die beiden Kritikpunkte haben unseren Aufenthalt nicht geschmälert!

Can’t recommend this property enough even if it is a rainy day with such big windows you can still feel like you are outside. Loved having the hot tub to sit under the stars when our daughter went to bed. There is a lovely pool too but a bit cold for me but my husband loved going for a cold swim. The property looks exactly like the pictures it is just wow.
Very accommodating with having a baby even left us with a baby towel so that can be one less thing to pack and there was also a high chair.
Dmitry met us at the property when we checked in. He was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had during our stay thank you very much!
Don’t hesitate to book was such a lovely stay thank you. Missing it already!

Les points positifs: maison spacieuse, au calme, équipements bébé, espace extérieur bien entretenu et aménagé, chambres spacieuses, environnement très sécurisé, communication facile et réactive.
Les points à améliorer: literie inconfortable, jacuzzi vieillissant, absence de lave vaisselle, interventions régulières du personnel sur la propriété sans communication préalable, logement un peu ex centré pour visiter les centres d’intérêts majeurs de l’île.

Hôte très réactif, problème électrique réglé en 1/2 heure.
Seuls inconvénients le manque de climatisation ou au moins ventilateur, chaleur étouffante dans les chambres ; et problème de fonctionnement des stores et volets, tout électriques, qui ne fonctionnaient pas régulièrement.
Villa que nous recommandons vivement pour des vacances paisibles, proche de la voie rapide pour accéder rapidement à toutes les excursions, visites et randonnées à faire dans l'Est et le centre de l'Ile.

the location could be questionable for some but we love it! The city (Funchal) is not too far. The jacuzzi had the right temperature and easy to use. Overall great location and great property.

Destaco o Jacuzzi de água quente
O comando do portão não funcionou e não tive resposta a esta questão por parte dos responsaveis pelo alojamento. Liguei várias vezes (sem atenderem) e reportei por sms sem qualquer resposta. Fiquei com dúvidas de como seria o suporte caso houvesse um problema mais grave na casa.

Situated in a lovely rural setting but close to a main road for quick access to other parts of the island.
The home was really comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s a beautiful house.
We had a couple of minor issues with the plumbing and the electric gate when we were there, but Dimitry (from An Island Apart) responded immediately to our messages and took care of the problems as fast as was possible. Prior to, during and after we left, Dimitry’s communication and service was excellent.
We highly recommend this property and the services of An Island Apart. Thank you for a great holiday!

Leider war es zu kalt für den Pool und teilweise auch zum Sonnenbaden. Aber wenn es ein paar Grad wärmer ist, kann man hier herrlich in der Sonne bruzzeln, den Tag genießen und den Stress hinter sich lassen.
Man kann hier wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge beobachten!
Die Unterkunft ist GENAU wie angegeben.
Eine Grundausstattung an Verbrauchsmittel (Toilettenpapier, Shampoo, Salz, Pfeffer etc) ist vorhanden.
Wir waren hier zu viert und hatten ausreichend Platz um uns nicht auf die Pelle zu rücken.
Leider kamen unangemeldet Angestellte aufs Grundstück. Was einem ein etwas mulmiges Gefühl gibt und es ja ein Leichtes wäre, schnell eine Nachricht zu schicken um sich anzumelden.
Das Personal ist aber sehr nett und eine schnelle Antwort ist garantiert!
Nichtsdestotrotz war es rundum ein toller Urlaub. Uns fehlte es an nichts.
Tipp: wenn man was von Madeira sehen will braucht man wirklich ein Auto! Und es lohnt sich! 😍😍

The jacuzzi was ideal for the weather we had in December the pool in the other hand was a little cold but if you brave enough you can enjoy it.
Beautiful views from all the windows either with the ocean or the hills
Definitely a great house for families.

Besonders positiv hervorheben möchten wir den guten Ausbaustandard des Hauses (es dehlt eignemtich nur ein Geschirrspühler), die schöne Lage mit Blick über die Landschaft bis zum Meer (inkl. Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang, im Okt./Nov.), der beheitze Whirlpool, den Kamin mit welchem das gesamte Haus beheitzt werden kann und die aufmerksame und sehr geschätzte Zwischenreinigung (bei unserem Mehrwöchigen Aufenthalt) sowie die unkomplizierte und hilfsbereite Kommunikation. There is one thing we did not like though: When checking in we were told that after about half of our stay the house would be cleaned and that we would be informed when this would take place. However, this information never reached us and one afternoon there were people outside the living room who wanted to clean the property. We sent them away since a cleanup was not needed and we did not have any time to put our valuables away. The justification on their end was "Tourists usually don't stay at the property during the day", make of that what you want. A few days later there were again strangers on the property, apparently it was somebody taking care of the garden. This is a no-go in my opinion and should definitely be improved on, especially since they didn't even ring the doorbell, they simply entered.
All in all we had a great time and did not view this as bad as it may sound but it still left a bad taste in my mouth and should be improved on. Still: If you're looking for a calm, modern and clean house when visiting Madeira I recommend this AirBnb!

- The property and the house itself are beautiful, the view is great and there is a pool as well as a whirlpool - that's it!
Negative: This is going to be a rather long list...
- The whirlpool caused a hot tub folliculitis among all guests. While some only experienced minor issues my fiancé had severe symptoms. It happened around the 4th day of our stay. While scrolling through the reviews on booking we found that we weren't the only guests that experienced this. Quite shocking that the agency did not properly take care of this issue.
- Cleanliness upon arrival was poor. We took off our shoes and after walking around the house for only a few minutes our white socks were brown. Really?
- There were insects everywhere in the house. Only two windows had fly screens which made it impossible to let windows open during the day or night without inviting all types of insects from the outside
- The bigger bathroom upstairs had two major issues: The shower screen had very poor waterproofing. After every shower half of the bathroom was flooded. The toilet was very prone to clogging. Only a few tissues too much and it was clogged.
- Equipment: For such a modern house the equipment was dissatisfying. There was no dishwasher and only one trash bin for three lavatories. No vacuum cleaner, no AC
- The storage room suffered from a very bad smell and the washing machine made the laundry smell like a wet dog
- WiFi connection was ok in the living room, but poor as soon as you were upstairs or outside in-front of the house (no WiFi at all)
The list goes on... But I don't have enough characters left to fully write my review. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. The house is also located fairly remote and apparently built in a wind corridor with a temperature drop of around 4-5 degrees compared to e.g. Arco da Calheta.

The place is kind of remote, but everything you need is just a 5min walk or 5min drive by car.
The view is amazing.
If we designed the place, we would have changed small things to even make it better. But this is just critics on a very high level.
What could have been better is cleanliness, in the details. Floor was kind of dirty when you wear white socks, the corners were not so well cleaned than other parts and toilets looked super clean on first view, but also had some issues on a close view.
But all in all we highly recommend this place!

We stayed for two weeks and there were just three little things. At first a summarized instruction for the alarm system, the heaters etc. Would be perfect. At the first night the alarm system turned on and we had no clue how to stop it, also that the heaters are connected with the fireplace was new for us.
The second little problem is that if you use all the hotplates for cooking, all lights in the house start to flicker.
The last little thing is that you just have Wifi in the ground-floor. When you go upstairs or in the garden you immediately lose the connection.
These are all small points. All in all it is a very nice house and we had great two weeks there that we all will not forget.
I can definitely recommend this house.

The COVID stars aligned for us and we spent a relaxing week enjoying the delights of well-organised Madeira, as well as the villa itself. The property is in a semi-rural location towards the western end of the island - about an hour's drive from the airport and Funchal - with lovely views over hills, countryside and the sea. There's a small bar and local shop within a kilometre that provided us with great local bread and other essentials, and a well-stocked small supermarket a 10 minute drive away. Our main interests lie outdoors, and we found a great variety of well-maintained trails on the island, from leisurely strolls along the levadas (irrigation channels that criss-cross the island) to a challenging hike above the clouds to the highest peak - Pico Ruivo.
The villa itself is really stylish as well as practical in its design, making best use of space inside and out. As well as the mostly open-plan downstairs there's a small lounge area upstairs where you look out through a huge picture window onto the beautiful landscape. The villa is light and airy in the day, cozy in the evenings thanks to a log-burner, and has a well equipped kitchen for mealtimes.
Outside there is plenty of space to sit and relax, with the same great views of hills and sea. It wasn't really swimming pool weather (being December), but we made full use of the hot tub for relaxation after our hikes. Check-in and out processes were well-organised and hassle-free, with good communications from Fabio from the 'Island Apart' team.
In summary, we had a great week at Casa da Maloeira, and would recommend it for anyone looking for some quiet luxury and access to the great outdoors.

1. Ankunft
Trotz vereinbahrter Ankunftszeit mussten wir 1h darauf warten ins Haus zu gelangen, da der Keysafe defekt war.
2. Gesundheitsschädlicher Whirlpool
Die Whirlpool-Pflege ist mangelhaft. Bei Ankunft war der Jacuzzi nicht vorbereitet, das Wasser grün und trüb mit braunen Ablagerung. Einen Tag später kam auf unsere Aufforderung hin der Pool-Mann und hat das Wasser getauscht, Chemie zugesetzt und die Oberflächen gereinigt. So konnte der W-Pool erst 2 Tage nach Ankunft genutzt werden. Nach zwei weiteren Tagen kippte das Wasser aber bereits wieder und verursachte bei der ganzen Familie einen Tag später einen schmerzhaften Ausschlag, auch Whirlpool-Dermatitis genannt. Dieser entsteht durch Bakterien in ungepflegten Pools. Die Schläuche, Filter etc. müssten dazu 72h behandelt werden. Die Agentur veranlasste zwar den Wasserwechsel und die Reinigung, jedoch wurde das Problem des Bakterienbefalls nur kurzfristig behoben. Auf weitere Anfragen und Hinweise wurde eher unhöflich reagiert, die Schuld abgewiesen. Es sei eben ein Fehler passiert hieß es erst, dann sei der Ausschlag wohl woanders her. Die Nutzung des Whirlpools ist ein Gesundheitsrisiko, das man aber erst nach der Nutzung zu spüren bekommt. Die Kundenzufriedenheit und eine Entschuldigung hält die Agentur wohl nicht für nötig.
Wir sind hier sehr enttäuscht von der Art wie mit dem Problem umgegangen wurde und würden eine Anmietung trotz des schönen Hauses in einer tollen Umgebung nicht weiterempfehlen.
