Esta bonita casa fica situada a 15 minutos de automóvel do centro da Calheta, mais precisamente na zona alta do concelho; onde as vistas para o mar e a exposição solar deliciam os nossos visitantes.
A vista para a imensidão do oceano em conjunto com a piscina dão o caráter e personalidade a esta agradável casa de campo, que tem ao seu dispor: dois quartos, um com cama de casal outro twin bed ; duas casas de banho; uma sala com muita luz natural e acesso à varanda; um mezzanine e uma cozinha totalmente equipada.
Para além da piscina, que se situa no exterior, poderá aproveitar os momentos de lazer para jogar uma partida de ping-pong ou aperfeiçoar a sua pontaria nos dardos. Para reunir os amigos ou família, a casa tem uma zona de churrasco, que irá abrilhantar os seus pratos favoritos.
Nesta zona da ilha encontra diversas actividades, desde passeios pelas levadas ou mergulhos nas águas cristalinas da vila da Calheta.
A propriedade tem todas as comodidades necessárias. Tem igualmente um lugar de estacionamento privado no interior da propriedade.
O BAIRRO E AS REDONDEZAS
Situado na zona oeste, esta casa está na zona com mais exposição solar da Ilha da Madeira.
A cerca de 15 minutos de carro está no centro da Calheta onde encontrará a praia de areia amarela, vários restaurantes e um supermercado.
Na Calheta tem o Museu de Arte Contemporânea, uma obra arquitectónica fantástica.
O Jardim do Mar e o Paúl do Mar estão a cerca de 20 minutos de carro. Estas duas pequenas vilas oferecem praia, animação e beleza muito próprias.
Mais perto, nas redondezas, encontrará pequenos estabelecimentos de restauração e mercearias.

We loved the accommodation. It was very spacious, clean and comfy. It wouldve been better to mention that the pool heating costs 40 per day though. That would be our only critic. Everything else was absolutely perfect. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds were comfortable and clean, the view was gorgeous. The Smart TV was fantastic. We also liked that the property was private and fenced in so we didn't have to worry about our rental car. We would definetely visit again.

We had a great stay. The owner showed us the house in detail. The communicatienetwerk with the hosts was very good. The house was big with all the comforts you can ask for. The bedrooms were nice with ensuite bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable which is rare in our experience. Last but not least, the view is spectacular. No television needed here. We spent every night on the porch watching the sunset.

Everything about this airbnb was amazing! Andre met us and showed us around to make sure everything was good. We had a chef come to the house and they let him in without us being home. They also came when we had a question. The airbnb is absolutely beautiful, we want to come back just for the this airbnb. The view is amazing, a bunch of restaurants and bakeries near by. We personally loved the location, it’s basically the middle of the island.

Przepięknie położony dom na wzgórzu,widoki z tarasu i okien cudne i niesamowite! Bardzo przestronne mieszkanie z 2 sypialniami ,2 łazienkami , antresolą na której też można spać bo jest rozkładana kanapa oraz stół do ping ponga i stół do gier. Duży pokój z wygodnym narożnikiem i fotelami oraz kuchnia w pełni spełniły nasze oczekiwania. Basen z podgrzewaną wodą gdzie można pływać przez cały rok był ukojeniem po całym dniu zwiedzania wyspy. Przemiła właścicielka oraz jej syn którzy zawsze chętnie pomagali.Troche stromy wjazd do posesji ale już w drugim dniu się przyzwyczaiłam do stromych dróg. Właścicielka Margarida przygotowała nam poczęstunek na przyjazd i w następnym dniu przyniosła nam przepyszne babeczki(dalej nie wiem z czym były ale były po prostu pyszne) do porannej kawy. Jesteśmy bardzo wdzięczne za tak cudowny pobyt. Polecamy to miejsce bo byłyśmy zachwycone! Wszystko było idealnie!!

Eine rundum tolle Erfahrung. Die Gastgeberin und ihr Sohn sind sehr herzlich, familiär. Wir haben uns sofort zu Hause gefühlt. Die Kommunikation lief problemlos über ‘MessengerDienst’ und war stets sehr freundlich. Wir wurden mit Präsent Korb und einer netten Führung herzlichst empfangen und haben sogar am Tag vor der Abreise einen frisch gebackenen Kuchen erhalten. Mehr kann man sich als Gast nicht wünschen. Das Gleiche gilt für die Unterkunft. Die Bilder werden der Realität nicht gerecht: Es ist viel geräumiger und schicker als wir erwartet haben, der Ausblick aufs Meer und in die Berge ist unfassbar schön und man hat komplett seine Ruhe und Privatsphäre. An der Ausstattung haben wir nichts zu bemängeln. Besonders die Eismaschine fanden die Kinder toll. Alles war sauber und hochwertig. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen. Klare Empfehlung an alle Reisenden!!! Danke für einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt.

Das Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage ist sehr geräumig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Danke Margarida und Andre für eure besondere Gastfreundschaft. Leider hat die Bautätigkeit in der Nachbarschaft tagsüber gelegentlich gestört. Nach Feierabend und Nachts dann aber absolute Ruhe. Besonders positiv ist der Parkplatz auf dem abgeschlossen Grundstück. Ein Mietwagen mit etwas mehr PS ist aber aufrund der Lage zwingend anzuraten wenn man die Insel erkunden will. Wir kommen wieder!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Madère. Le logement est bien, les hôtes sont très réactifs et accueillant. Il est localisé près des axes principaux ce qui nous a permis de pouvoir faire toute l’île assez facilement (voiture obligatoire). Le logement correspond totalement à la description.

We had an amazing stay in this house in Calheta! Unreal views and sunsets from the balcony, and a lovely quiet area too - would recommend a car if you are staying at the house to get around (a lot of steep hills to climb if not!) and there was ample space to park a car there. Great contact with the hosts and we were greeted and shown around the house and they left some local treats for us too! The house is fully equipped with all you could need like a coffee machine, pots and pans, and BBQ utensils - there is also aircon despite it saying there isn't on Airbnb!! We had 5 people staying and it was a great amount for the space in the house. We didn't heat the pool (stayed in late August) and it meant it was a great temperature for the daytime when it was too warm but was chilly to use the pool in the evening. Overall a great house with small local grocery shops and restaurants nearby but even more in the local town of Calhetha with a great beach there.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Margarida and Andre were absolutely wonderful. We arrived very late and they still came to meet us and took the time to explain things to us. Margarida even drove us to the market in town, which was absolutely lovely and appreciated. I couldn't have asked for more attentive hosts. The property is beautiful and spacious. We were surprised to learn there was air conditioning, even though it's not listed in the property features. The views were spectactular and wrapped all around the property. The property is a bit difficult to get to and you will probably do best if you rent a car. We did not rent a car, but Margarida and Andre linked us up with some local taxi contacts that took us everywhere we wanted to go. If you're planning to rely on Bolt for rides, I'd make other arrangements. It's difficult to get a Bolt driver to accept your ride, so you're better off planning ahead with a taxi. Overall, a true 5* accommodation. :)

Die Unterkunft war super schön. Die Kommunikation hat auch super geklappt. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit zu viert. Es hat nichts gefehlt. Geschirr, Küchenutensilien, Dusch- und Badehandtücher etc. war alles vor Ort. Die Poolheizung war im August trotz der höheren Lage der Unterkunft nicht nötig. Würden auf alle Fälle wieder vorbeikommen .

Super Haus aber nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Sehr ruhig , extrem tolle Aussicht. Der Pool wird nur gegen Bezahlung und Voranmeldung beheizt !!! Es gibt Wasserschäden in den Badezimmern !!! Die Vermieter sind sehr sehr Nett und antworten umgehend auf Anfragen. Die Küche ist sehr Gut ausgestattet, kühl/Gefrier Kombi mit Eisbereiter. Kaffeemaschine. Filter sowie Kapsel. Toaster Airfryer Waschmaschine und Geschirrspüler. Wirklich großer Fernseher mit allen gängigen Apps. Die Betten sind echt prima, man schläft ruhig und sehr bequem.

We enjoyed our vacation in this well equipped house so much. The space is very large and inviting, the view from the wide balcony is priceless. From dusk till dawn. We felt fully cared for by the host all the time and do absolutely recommend to stay at this incredible location. Many thanks for the great hospitality and also the delicious homemade cake. We‘ll come back.
Notice: be aware to have a appropriate powered car to handle the steep roads in this region of Madaira.

Très beau séjour dans cette villa. La vue est extraordinaire. Il existe de nombreuses terrasses où il est possible de profiter du soleil toute la journée, tranquillement dans un hamac ou transat. Die Villa ist NOCH toller als auf den Fotos zu shene, und hat Features, die gar nicht beschrieben waren. Unser Highlight: Der Eiswürfelautomat im Kühlschrank ;-)
Kommunikation per eMail und whattsapp reibungslos, persönlicher Kontakt inklusive Madeira Willkommensgruß super nett.
Für das Wetter konnten die gastgeber in dieser Woche nichts, so dass der Pool unbenutzt blieb. Um so schöner war es, die Tischtennisplatte und das geräumige Wohnzimmer mit Meerblick zu haben.

Margarida and her son were the best hosts - proactive and kind and very quick to respond. We appreciated their recommendations, their Madeiran food gifts and all the touches - cushions, rugs etc. Nothing was a problem for them. Ons verblijf was zeer aangenaam. De buurt is rustig en schoon. Elke dag hebben wij genoten van het uitzicht op zee. De ruimte heeft een hoogplafond wat erg fijn is.
Het huis is ruim voorzien van faciliteiten.
Ook een fijn bijkomstigheid is de locatie. Je bent niet ver verwijderd van de hot spots van het eiland.
Wij hebben iets langer dan een week mogen gebruik maken van deze Airbnb en we raden iedereen deze Airbnb aan.

Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum. Der Blick auf das Meer und die Umgebung den man vom Balkon aus hat ist wahnsinnig schön und wir konnten uns gar nicht satt sehen. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und die Küche wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten es sich am Haus nett zu machen: Sonnenliegen, Hängematten und mehrere Sitzgelegenheiten. Der Kontakt zu der Eigentümerin war sehr einfach und wirklich freundlich. Rundum ein tolles Erlebnis und ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Vielen Dank!

Lage und Ausblick sind sehr gut. Jedoch ein Auto erforderlich. Sauberkeit - volle Punktzahl Lichtschalter sind ein Chaos Poolheizung mit 40€/Tag ist einfach zu viel! Pool ist nur im Sommer ohne Heizung nutzbar.

Questa casa è stupenda, le foto sono belle ma dal vivo è tutta un'altra storia. Siamo rimasti veramente sorpresi. La casa ha tutti i servizi che dichiara e che di base servono, gli ambienti sono ordinati e puliti. Panorama mozzafiato, piscina, amaca, veranda con divano... a noi è sembrato di essere ricchi ma ad un prezzo di favore! Margarida e Andre sono estremamente disponibili e attenti, molto precisi e onesti. La zona è tranquilla e vicino si trovano diversi punti di interesse. Sinceramente consiglierei questa struttura a chiunque, a noi è sembrato di sognare.

Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll.. von Anfang bis Ende war alles einfach nur perfekt! Wir haben uns noch nie so unfassbar wohl in einer Unterkunft gefühlt, wie in dieser auf Madeira. Die Unterkunft sieht genau so aus wie auf den Fotos und war super sauber und gepflegt. André und Margarida sind so unfassbar nette und herzliche Menschen, es war uns eine Freude die zwei kennen zu lernen. Man konnte André immer und schnell erreichen. In der Wohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Von Sandwichtoaster bis Heißluft Fritteuse (unser Favorit). Die Aussicht ist einfach nur ein unfassbarer Traum und wir wären am liebsten noch länger geblieben! Mal davon abgesehen, das die Insel auch super schön ist und das natürlichste ist was wir in unserem Leben gesehen haben. Wenn ihr nach Madeira reist, dann müsst ihr unbedingt diese Unterkunft wählen! Ihr werdet es nicht bereuen!!
Kleiner Tipp: Ein Auto ist dringend notwendig! Zu Fuß ist die Unterkunft nur sehr schwer zu erreichen.

Google maps easily took us to the villa where we were warmly welcomed by the host. The villa has everything you might dream of : very spacious, spotless clean, comfortable beds, wonderful views over the village and the ocean, great sunset, refreshing pool. The five-star kitchen has all equipment and well beyond. Various furniture is provided in the garden to relax and enjoy the views. The environment is extremely quiet and we enjoyed evening walks up the mountain, along the levadas or around the village. On foot it is just down the street to the local snack-bar for some tasty food and have a poncha (drink) at the Ponchada. The locals are lovely ! As the house is up a steep hill, you need a car to reach the little supermarket that provides basics, meat, bread and simple take-away food, just a few minutes away. A 10-minute drive to Calheta's marina offers everything from restaurants to a big supermarket. The house is about 50 minutes away from the airport, an easy drive on highways and into numerous tunnels. We loved staying away from the tourist spots yet close to the highways to visit the island. The hosts were very helpful and reactive (but we haven't needed their help much as everything had been explained so well when we arrived). Discovering the island all day can get tiring and we were happy to drive back to the peace of the house around 4 or 5 pm to relax and unwind. It really is a lovely place to stay and we would definitely go back to Villa Sea Colors if we visit Madeira again.

We had an amazing stay in beautiful Madeira. Margarida's place is lovely, and the views are amazing. We were centrally located to many of the hikes and destinations we wanted to visit. The house was well equipped and spacious, and was great for our family of four. We are looking forward to our next visit to Madeira and would love to stay here again!

I couldn’t recommend this place more, the host is amazing and so helpful, they brought us down to the local supermarket when we didn’t have a car handy yet and also borrow us an adapter and meet any other requests we had, they were super kind and friendly too the place is beyond beautiful looks just like the pictures! The only thing I would recommend is that you definitely need to rent a car as taxis is too expensive to get around and can’t even order one from there as it is sightly remote other than that 10/10

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit traumhaftem Blick aufs Meer/Sonnenuntergang. Die Unterkunft liegt ein paar Minuten hangaufwärts und ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Von Calheta aus lässt sich die Westseite Madeiras hervorragend erkunden. Margarida kümmert sich sehr gut um ihre Gäste! Das einzige was etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist (aber ich denke das ist auf Madeira standard): es wird mit dem Klimagerät geheizt, was natürlich mit einem gewissen Lärm/trockener Luft einhergeht.

This villa is really an excellent rent. OK, the picture with the pool is extremely well taken - in fact it is a bit squeezed into a corner with a big wall behind it. But there are two locations with a pair of long chairs for sun bathing and there is a third place with a small table and two "sun chairs". The kitchen is very well equipped - toaster, very good microwave, American style refrigerator/freezer (with ice cube dispenser!), coffee machine - you name it. Just hope for good weather - we did, but it didn't work. And remember, you are an elevated altitude, probable 500-600m.

De accomodatie was geweldig en groot, het uitzicht is prachtig! Je zit op een hoogte dat de wolken aan jou hoogte passeren. 2 ruime kamers, elks beschikt over een badkamer en toilet. Een auto huren is een must, de host bied een goede service aan (Carxop) alles was vlotjes verlopen voor ons. Ook de host zelf zeer vriendelijk en goed en snel bereikbaar.

Spacious, Comfortable bed. Great view. Safe and quiet area at night. Minor things but important. Sharp knives are blunt and need sharpening. Also only one small then one huge sharp knife that is almost too big to use safely. Frying pan handle is loose and unsafe- needs replacing. Only a combined microwave/oven and no instructions. Only one oven proof glass dish fits in the microwave, the other too big to move on the turntable. I suspect expect cook outside but too cool in the evening in March. Water pressure is poor. Can't run another tap at all as shower goes freezing cold immediately.

Amazing view of the ocean, very clean, spacious and the host - Margarida - is really nice.
The villa is situated in the middle of the hill above ocean - good for driving both to mountains and ocean (on the other hand - not exactly quite in the mountains yet and not on the beach either; be prepared for driving on a steep roads everywhere). There is a small "corner pub" nearby but appart from that you have to drive everywhere.

Mooi huis waarvan je de bovenste deel huurt. Alle beschreven faciliteiten zijn aanwezig en je hebt een fantastisch uitzicht vanaf het grote balkon. De host (Margarida) is zeer vriendelijk en kun je alles vragen. Bij aankomst vonden we een fles Madeira en de lokale zeer bekende lekkernij honingkoek. Tussendoor kregen we mandarijnen uit eigen tuin. Tsja, als je dan een minpunt wilt horen dan moet je op weg naar het huis onderaan in het dorp een steile weg nemen (32% helling!!) maar gewoon gas geven dan lukt dat wel. Ook ontbraken grote mokken/glazen maar daar hebben we er 4 van gekocht en achtergelaten en die mag je zonder problemen gebruiken ;) Oh, nog wel 1 echt minpunt dat we pas vlak van tevoren op de hoogte werden gesteld van het feit dat de verwarming van het water van het zwembad 40 euro/dag kost en ja dat water is wel koud in januari!

Ein großes Haus mit Traum-Ausblick! Leider kommt die tolle Aussicht mit einem Preis: das Haus is sehr weit am Berg oben, mit sehr steilen Straßen hinauf. Also eher für geübte Fahrer mit einem guten Auto (vor allem bei Regen). Aber erst mal oben, ist es den langen Aufstieg wert. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, fast schon zu groß für 2 Personen. Es wirkt kleiner auf den Fotos, eine 4-5 köpfige Familie hat komfortabel Platz. Es liegt sehr ruhig, die Nachbarn sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt sogar eine weiße Katze als Zubehör, die jeden Tag schon in der Früh vor der Türe sitzt und gestreichelt/gefüttert werden will. Wir haben die Location als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Levada-Wanderung gewählt, man ist in 10 Minuten in der Serra de Paul (Bica Cana) und am Parkplatz zum 25 Fontes Wandergebiet. Den Pool konnten/wollten wir in Dezember nicht nutzen, aber die Südterasse war hervorragend geeignet, um mit einem Glas Wein auf den Sonnenuntergang zu warten.

Wir waren mit unserer gebuchten Villa wirklich sehr zufrieden. Die Gastgeberin begrüßte uns sehr herzlich und wir fühlten uns sofort gut aufgehoben. Über die Köstlichkeiten von Madeira haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Es war alles vorhanden, was man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Die Lage ist einfach nur traumhaft - man hat einen unbeschreiblich schönen Blick auf das Meer. Schade, dass der Pool meistens eher im Schatten liegt. Als Erfrischung aber trotzdem sehr gut geeignet. Es war im Oktober dann doch an den meisten Abenden sehr kalt, weshalb wir öfter mal den Ofen angeheizt haben. Das funktioniert sehr unkompliziert. We stayed in the villa at the end of August and had a fantastic time. The weather was wonderful and the outdoor space was great for sunbathing, relaxing, swimming in the pool or having a barbecue.
There’s also lots of space in the shade too if you want to relax outside but not be in the glare of the sun.
The views from the balcony / terrace are incredible and we ate each evening meal out there and watched the sun set!
Inside everything is clean and well equipped, and our host, Margarida was kind, helpful and quick to respond if we had a question. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday in late August. The weather was wonderful. We enjoyed the spacious and clean house, and the fabulous pool and outside seating areas and BBQ.
We’d definitely recommend a hire car and once you have that, the whole island is at your disposal.
Check-in was easy and Margarida was very helpful and kind.
We’re already planning to come back in the future.

Absolute Empfehlung! Wir wurden super herzlich von Margarida empfangen. Die Villa hat auf den Bildern kleiner gewirkt als sie tatsächlich ist! Mit hohen Decken, einer Ausstattung, die keine Wünsche offen lässt und einem riesigen Balkon mit traumhaftem Ausblick!
Der Pool ist perfekt für eine Abkühlung, Bahnen kann man zwar nicht schwimmen, aber für uns war er super.
Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und perfekt zum Abschalten. Das bedeutet allerdings auch, dass man unbedingt ein Auto braucht, um flexibel zu sein.
Insgesamt wollten wir gar nicht mehr abreisen, weil nicht nur die Insel uns in ihren Bann gezogen hat, sondern wir auch mit der Villa eine Unterkunft hatten, die uns jeden Tag ein Gefühl von heimkommen gegeben hat.

Sítio perfeito para quem procura descansar. Vistas excelentes da varanda, onde passamos os fins de tarde a ver o pôr do sol. A casa está completamente equipada e não sentimos falta de nada. A Margarida esteve sempre disponivel para nos ajudar com o que precisamos durante a nossa estadia. Apesar de mais afastado do Funchal, a viagem faz-se bem pelos tuneis e rapidamente se chega lá

Diese Villa ist absolut traumhaft gelegen mit weitem Blick über den Atlantik von der großen Terrasse aus. Der Pool ist kleiner als erwartet, aber macht trotzdem viel Spaß. Er ist hinter dem Haus gelegen und daher nicht den ganzen Tag in der Sonne. Dafür gibt es genug sonnige Plätzchen, zwischen denen man den ganzen Tag über wechseln kann. Die Villa hat einen großen Wohnraum mit offener Küche und oben einem offenen Atelier mit Tischtennisplatte. Wir waren hier zu zweit, da war es im Haus schwierig gleichzeitig zu arbeiten und Calls zu führen, ohne sich zu stören - auch hallt es sehr. Für den Urlaub als Familie kann ich mir das wiederum sehr gut vorstellen. Es war sehr gepflegt und die Haushälterin Margarida wohnt im Souterrain, wo sie regelmäßig erreichbar ist. Kleinere Problemchen wurden schnell und unkompliziert behoben, doch darf man sich auch über manche Kleinigkeiten nicht wundern, die unlogisch erscheinen, auch wenn es insgesamt sehr modern und gepflegt war. Ich würde jederzeit gerne wieder hierher kommen und kann die Villa und den Ort nur empfehlen. Auch die bäuerliche Nachbarschaft ist nach etwas Eingewöhnung sehr angenehm. Tolle Aussicht und Natur, den ganzen Tag Sonne, nur 15min mit dem Auto zu einer spektakulären Wandertour am Levada da 25 Fontes.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft war super! Das Haus bietet genügend Platz und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch für unser Baby wurde uns alles für einen sorglosen Urlaub bereitgestellt. Das Haus und der Pool wurden jede Woche sauber gemacht. Die Lage ist super ruhig aber man sollte unbedingt mit Auto ausgestattet sein. Der Sonnenuntergang ist jeden Abend traumhaft ☀️ Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

If you would like to relax with stunning views of the sea from a peaceful balcony, listening to nature and the surrounding sounds, this is the place. The house is on a side road off a steep hill (the road to 25 Fontes) so is great for access to local amenities and some of the best attractions on Madeira (Porto Moniz). We also had the pool heated (23°c) so it was perfect for a cooling dip, even in October! Some days the cloud was low but not enough to obstruct visibility, some days it was clear with hazy views across the ocean, stunning. There was loads of space in and around the house to relax for my wife and 2 teenage daughters. You'll definitely need a car unless you want to walk/bus/taxi everywhere. The house was very clean and had all that we could ask for for our stay, loved it 😍

Ho soggiornato per 10 giorni in questa Villa, bella, grande, spaziosa, dotata di tutto, piscina , bbq, lavatrice, asciugatrice ecc. Pulita, ottima accoglienza da parte della Sig.ra Margarida, pronta ad aiutarci per qualsiasi cosa. Forse andrebbe curato un po’ di più L’ organizzazione degli spazi interni. Bellissima piscina, peccato che chiedano 40€ al giorno per riscaldarla, prezzo eccessivo. Forse mi aspettavo di più , però siamo stati bene, la consiglio. Bellissima vista su Arco de calheta e sul mare.

A really nice and relaxing place to visit. High up on the island you can oversee the areas around with great views of the sea. Due to its location it’s nice and quiet. If you want R&R, bring a book and visit here.
The pool is very clean and comfortable to get in during warmer weather, however you might want to consider having the pool heated if your afraid to dip in the cool water.
Due to its location you will definitely need a car. It’s around 45mins drive from the airport. Even if you visit the local supermarket you will want a car as there are lots of steep hills!
As mentioned, you are high up on the island, so if it’s a cloudy day visibility will be reduced. You can literally see the clouds rolling past you.
I would say this would be a place for couples of any age. If you have young children, you might struggle to keep them entertained as there are not many attractions around.

Schönes und sauberes Haus, Margarida war sehr hilfsbereit und sofort vor Ort wenn man etwas brauchte. Der Pool ist in echt etwas kleiner und niedriger als wie er auf den Bildern aussieht, trotzdem alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Ein Auto ist ein muss sonst geht garnichts.

The property was lovely and had everything we needed. The housekeeper who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. Was a great place to stay! The swimming pool needed heating, which I can understand for January. However, there was a cost associated with heating the pool but we only found out about this upon arrival. It would be helpful to know this at the time of booking.

We have enjoyed every minutes, every detail about the villa. At the time when we have arrived the host was there and he shows every important aspect of the house with a warm, kindly smile. It was great welcome, with a little suprise for arriving guest. The whole apartmant was so clean that we could eat directly from the floor, it was one of the most important impression we could have. The sunset from balcony, the view, that peaceful environment is a great supplement for enjoy our holidays. We would recommend this place for travelers with car; small shops with lots of foods, coffe, drinks and goods are nearby (only few hundreds meters) but terrain requires you to have a car. Only two minutes walking there a great local poncha bar with warm service with snacks, including to foreigners. If you want a quit, big modern house with a great kitchen, pool, separated bathrooms, and a view which almost gives you a look to see New York, you will definetely enjoy this villa. We spent 15 days in this wonderfull house. Perfect view on the ocean and village. Nice pool. The house has a separate reachable basement in which a very friendly lady is staying now and then. She takes perfectly care of the cleaning of the pool area. Our check in was late in the evening due to delay wit TAP airlines and this was no problem with our host Vitor. He even arranged on our request some groceries. During our stay the bedlinnen and towels were changed and the house cleaned. Suggestion to the owner: please invest in a dishwasher. Then you will have a 100% perfect holiday home. We enjoyed the space (family with 3 teenagers) very much. Two bathrooms enough space for just chilling. Maybe a wifi booster is also a nice feature... There is not enough wifi and your 4g/5g connection is also not 100% on the mountain. We rented a car with the power to climd the steep (up to 32%) roads. Please rent a powerfull car! We had a great stay and hope the next guests will also. Thanks!

Heel mooi huis met prachtig uitzicht. Doordat het op een hoogte ligt is het er iets frisser en kunnen wolken spelbreker zijn. Het is er heel rustig en het zwembad is aangenaam maar wel aan de frisse kant. Heel net en een hartelijke ontvangst door Vittor.

The house has 5 floors, they use 2 floors as storage and there is a lady living in the ground floor. The airbnb section is on the top floor and it is completely separated from THe lady living there. THe pool belongs to THe airbnb guest only but we could not use it because It Was very cold at that altitude. THe House is around 600-800 meters above sea level and temperature never gets above 20 degrees. We were there in june. So do not expect to use THe swimming pool and it is also very cold in THe house so be prepered rather with pulovers and jumpers Than swimming suit. In THe meanwhile it Was very Nice weather on THe beach so You should not Júdás THe weather from THe House. You have to drive 4 km up from THe main road that connects THe islands villages but this road is really zigg-zagg uphill so only very experienced drivers can do it. THe neighbourhood is authentic but not nice, they are very old and ugly houses. If You wish to be completely separeted and You do not mind to drive a lot on zigg-zagg road then this is THe place for You. THe House is clean but not ready, they ARe still doing some reconstructions. The bathrooms were very smelly so we always needed to keep THe windows open. Hot water is enough for 2 showers, other 2 guests needed to wait another half hour-one hour for hot water. The washing machine does not work well, we could only rinse the clothes because other programmes did not work. The host, Vitor was very kind , always available and he checked us in in THe middle of THe night. They even baked a cake for our arrival, hospitality is 10/10.

Het begon mooi met een locol cake en Madeira wijn. Welk welkom kun je je wensen. We hebben een mooi huis gehad met prima accommodatie. Als de puntjes op de i waren gezet was dit een 110% accommodatie geweest. We hebben ons er verder best vermaakt. Een huis met een prachtig uitzicht over de oceaan, en erg ruime living met uitgebreide keuken. Veel zitjes om het huis om altijd in de zon of juist uit de zon te kunnen zitten. Met mijn kennis van nu zou ik het een volgende keer weer aandurven om dit huis te huren.

This is an amazing place within a quiet, peaceful, clean, residential area. It’s located way above the sea level and therefore the view is amazing! Car is essential for this place and when you have a car nothing is too far in Madeira! Whole Madeira can be explored from here. Vitor, the host was amazing - very friendly, helpful and always available to answer queries to make your stay great. We couldn’t have asked for anything more from a host. There is a supermarket nearby and the local pizzeria is great. This is a perfect place for a family!

Our 1st time in Madeira and this house was everything promised and much much better than a hotel room.
The house is very clean, well appointed, warm, large and open plan with great beds and views most of us only dream about (Pitty is wasn't warmer as we would have used the pool everyday).
Vitor our host was everything we could have hoped for and more. He is very responsive and met us within 2 minutes of me calling. Vitor speaks excellent English, explained everything clearly and we couldn't ask for a better host.
We even got a home made cake made the same day on arrival. You should try the Requinte do Rochão - Restaurante just 5 mins drive from the house (amazing food and good value).
You are not in the city of Funchal, but if you love to do things differently and want something way better than a hotel, you won't be disappointed.

The house is perfect: modern and fully equipped, spacious and full of light. The view is to die for: we enjoyed most beautiful sunsets, quiet nights with the sounds of nature and the village, and even did some morning exercise on the huge balcony. Walking around the village is fun and some good exercise as well – as most of the roads are rather steep. The closest supermarket (5 mins by car, 15-20 mins by foot) is small but very nice and has all the basics. Vitor was super helpful and friendly, making sure everything is perfect for us to enjoy our stay. The location is super convenient to easily drive to different parts of the island, be prepared though for some winds as it is a bit higher closer to the mountains. Among things that are closest, we especially loved walking around the beautiful town of Jardim do Mar, driving up to Paul da Serra and walking along some levada routes, walking downhill and back on Caminho Real do Paul do Mar route from the village of Prazeres to the seashore at Paúl do Mar (before the trail do also try the Barefoot Walk in Hotel Jardim Atlantico, pure bliss!), and flying with Madeira Paragliding (you can see them flying from the balcony). So hope to come back to this house soon to further explore the beautiful island!

Despite colder than expected temps, absolutely loved our stay in Madeira. Victor met us in town and led us to the house as SatNav did not locate the address. He was very friendly and accommodating as he showed us the house. The view from the living room balcony was amazing. Nice quiet neighborhood but still close to restaurants and a small grocery store. I would suggest having a rental car when staying at this house. One of the highlights was hiking the Calheta - Levada of 25 Fontes which is only about a 10 min drive up the mountain.
