Com um quarto, com cama de casal, uma casa de banho e um open space generoso, este apartamento é perfeito para descobrir os encantos do Funchal.

O BAIRRO E AS REDONDEZAS
Esta casa encontra-se numa zona central privilegiada, mesmo no coração da cidade do Funchal. A 15 minutos a pé do Mercado dos Lavradores e da Zona Velha do Funchal, a partir daqui poderá explorar a pé os diversos pontos turísticos da nossa bonita cidade. (ex. Teleférico, Marina do Funchal, Museu CR7, Sé Catedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc…)
TRANSPORTES
Com paragem de autocarros na imediações (cinco minutos de distância), os transportes não serão problema para os nossos hóspedes.
Para partidas e chegadas do aeroporto, há uma paragem de aerobus a cerca de sete minutos da casa, embora que a melhor opção para chegar ao apartamento será o transfer. Peça-nos para marcar um com os nossos parceiros locais. É mais barato do que os táxis que encontra no aeroporto!

OUTRAS OBSERVAÇÕES
- Conforme a lei portuguesa, todos os hóspedes são obrigados a apresentar um documento de identificação válido. (ex. passaporte, bilhete de identidade).
- O check-in deve ser agendado antecipadamente. Caso não seja agendado num máximo de 48 horas, os hóspedes estarão sujeitos à disponibilidade da nossa equipa.

Pod nosem świetna restauracja Xaramba z cudownym Kelnerem Mario na pokładzie :) Blisko jest dobry cenowo parking podziemny (Santa Luzia Parque) polecam, bo nigdzie wokół raczej nie da rady zaparkować auta na dłużej. Standard apartamentów na wysokim poziomie, blisko promenady i lokalnych atrakcji.

The apartment was spacious and the location is superb. While our neighbors were all pretty quiet, the doors of windows are not isolated very well (which is nobody’s fault but maybe good to know). It did not bother us at all but may be bothersome if you’re very sensitive to noise as the area is quite close to the center.
The housekeeping was amazing and communication was great as well. There’s no cheap/free parking around but everything is super walkable and the area is really lovely, also for grabbing a bite or a drink. I would definitely stay here again!

A very nice place to stay - close to all important venues and bus stops. The apartment was very clean, nice organised and quiet and the owner responsive. Having coffee machine and filters in the kitchen was a big advantage as well :)

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach nur fantastisch, wir waren mitten im Herzen von Funchal und unser Host war überaus freundlich und immer unterstützend. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen, und wenn wir in Zukunft wieder nach Funchal reisen, werden wir auch genau dieses Airbnb nochmals besuchen. Die Wohnung war super groß und hatte alles, was wir brauchen! ( und noch viel mehr) Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt!

This apartment has a lot of benefits like location, price/quality relation, fully equipped kitchen. There was a small issue fixed very fast after I texted to the landlord.
There are some minuses, like noise (second side of the central location, with earplugs it was completely fine) and the sofa. The sofa is not suitable for sleeping, one part of it is lower compared to the other two parts (welcome to the backache).
Good apartment for 2 people in the center of Funchal for a good price, but it’s definitely not comfortable to stay for more than 2 people.

Localização muito boa, perto de tudo à pé (no máximo 15 minutos de tudo) no centro histórico! Limpeza IMPECÁVEL!!! É um prédio com 4 andares e possui elevador. Tive a felicidade em ficar no quarto "de quina" (2A-Fanal), pois dava para ver a rua e a esquina. Tudo estava bem cuidado, louças novas, panelas e copos e armários. O contato com o anfitrião foi célere e o problema que eu tive foi resolvido no mesmo dia.
Sobre o Ar-Condicionado: Não foi avisado que apenas o quarto possuía ar-condicionado, isso pode levar a pessoa à erro, seria bom avisar que apenas 1 cômodo possui esta facilidade e que para aliviar o calor, usa-se o ventilador (que foi o meu caso pois fomos em 3 pessoas).
Sobre a máquina de lavar: Também é preciso deixar claro que a máquina de lavar fica fora do quarto e que existem regras de uso (entre 07:00-22:00).
Sobre o Ar-Condicionado: Não foi avisado que apenas o quarto possuía ar-condicionado, isso pode levar a pessoa à erro, seria bom avisar que apenas 1 cômodo possui esta facilidade e que para aliviar o calor, usa-se o ventilador (que foi o meu caso pois fomos em 3 pessoas).

- Sa localisation,
- Sa propreté impeccable,
- Le système de serrure électrique très pratique quand on est plusieurs ( plus de souci de clef)
- Sa taille : grand pour un studio
- Climatisation que dans la chambre ; totalement inadmissible dans la mesure où le salon est aussi un espace nuit. Nous dormions au frais et notre fils dans un "four" car les 2 malheureux ventilateurs prévus pour le salon ne remplacent pas une climatisation !!
- Le canapé lit du salon nul à plusieurs égards : hyper inconfortable au niveau du couchage avec le matelas séparé en 2; résultat : une espèce de trou au niveau de la tête ; on a rehaussé comme on a pu, matelas trop fin...une horreur pour y dormir. De plus bcp trop compliqué à refermer tous les jours, système obsolète est en mauvais état ( on ne l'a fermé que le 1er jour) En canapé, seules 2 personnes peuvent s'asseoir alors que c'est un logement pour 3
- Oreillers de la chambre très inconfortables
- Prises de courant ( chambre) très difficile d'accès
- Petit électroménager bas de gamme
- coin cuisine très peu fonctionnel : idéal pour le petit déjeuner mais pas plus
- table du coin cuisine trop petite, un système de rallonge n'aurait pas été du luxe !
- Gros manque de rangement : cuisine et chambre (1 seul tiroir) heureusement qu'il y avait bcp de cintres
- mauvaise insonorisation par rapport aux voisins du dessus
SURTOUT : Booking.com nous a "vendu" le logement comme possédant lave linge, sèche longs et matériel de repassage ; descriptif malhonnête car tous ces équipements ne sont pas dans l'appartement mais font partie des espaces communs. - Sa propreté impeccable,
- Le système de serrure électrique très pratique quand on est plusieurs ( plus de souci de clef)
- Sa taille : grand pour un studio
- Climatisation que dans la chambre ; totalement inadmissible dans la mesure où le salon est aussi un espace nuit. Nous dormions au frais et notre fils dans un "four" car les 2 malheureux ventilateurs prévus pour le salon ne remplacent pas une climatisation !!
- Le canapé lit du salon nul à plusieurs égards : hyper inconfortable au niveau du couchage avec le matelas séparé en 2; résultat : une espèce de trou au niveau de la tête ; on a rehaussé comme on a pu, matelas trop fin...une horreur pour y dormir. De plus bcp trop compliqué à refermer tous les jours, système obsolète est en mauvais état ( on ne l'a fermé que le 1er jour) En canapé, seules 2 personnes peuvent s'asseoir alors que c'est un logement pour 3
- Oreillers de la chambre très inconfortables
- Prises de courant ( chambre) très difficile d'accès
- Petit électroménager bas de gamme
- coin cuisine très peu fonctionnel : idéal pour le petit déjeuner mais pas plus
- table du coin cuisine trop petite, un système de rallonge n'aurait pas été du luxe !
- Gros manque de rangement : cuisine et chambre (1 seul tiroir) heureusement qu'il y avait bcp de cintres
- mauvaise insonorisation par rapport aux voisins du dessus
SURTOUT : Booking.com nous a "vendu" le logement comme possédant lave linge, sèche longs et matériel de repassage ; descriptif malhonnête car tous ces équipements ne sont pas dans l'appartement mais font partie des espaces communs. Heel leuke verblijfplaats. Ruim, netjes, goed dat er een airco is in de slaapkamer, dicht bij centrum van Funchal. De poetshulp stuurde ook vriendelijk een appje om te vragen wanneer we uitchecken zodat ze haar planning kon opmaken.

Enjoyed my stay! Perfect location, I was able to wash and dry clothes easily. I also worked three days out of my week stay and had no problem with noise or internet. The view of the streets was nice. There was the usual noise but not disturbing. I also booked airport shuttle which went well. Overall, I had a nice stay and I would return.

We can‘t describe how perfect this airbnb was. It‘s really beautiful, I would say exactly or better than the photos, well thought and aesthetic style. It‘s clean and has everything you need (and more) it‘s so comfortable and makes u feel like home.
The location was our favorite thing, it‘s in a nice street, restaurants, shops, parking, gardens and everything it‘s near to you and easy to reach, you even have a great big shopping mall 5 minutes away walking and a small one next to the building. It‘s a nice zone near to the sea and sightseeing places which was perfect for us cause we like to go out and just walk. You can‘t miss anything there.
We loved madeira and we definitely will come back and stay in this airbnb again.

The property was perfect and the communication with An Island Apart was excellent. Great location, close to restaurants ( try restuarnte Olves), shops, and attractions. Weather in February was lovely and Madeira is a spectacular island. We recommend a 4X4 tour with Madeira Discovery and Whale watching with Magic Dolphin, both arranged through the property manager.

Very good location in downtown Funchal.
The entire apartment complex is owned by a huge real estate management which led to some communication problems as you always communicate with a team of different people. Checking in before 4pm is only possible if you pay a fee, regardless of the apartment being free before. The dryer did not work and messages have been left unanswered.
Generally a more sterile, soulless stay that is more similar to a hotel stay than the usual airbnb stay with personal contact & recommendations.
If you don’t mind that, it‘s a clean and spacious enough apartment in a great location.

Le logement est totalement conforme aux photos, il est grand et propre et l’arrivée autonome et flexible est vraiment bien car notre avion avait beaucoup de retard et nous sommes arrivés en plein milieu de la nuit au lieu de l’heure prévu. Seul bémol, le logement est très bruyant, parfois on a l’impression que les personnes au dessus sont en train de marcher chez nous. Également, sachez que les serrures électroniques permettent à n’importe qui du personnel de rentrer chez vous…On avait décidé de faire une grasse matinée un jour et on a eu une frayeur en entendant la serrure se déverrouiller et quelqu’un rentrer chez nous sans même toquer à la porte. C’était une femme de ménage pour apparemment nettoyer l’appartement alors qu’on était en plein milieu du séjour. On lui a gentiment demander de partir mais c’était bizarre étant donné qu’avant cette entrée intrusive, personne n’était venu faire le ménage depuis le début de notre séjour et personne n’est revenu jusqu’à la fin d’ailleurs…

Prime example of a "real estate investor" buying a local apartment and removing any sense of authenticity in the name of turning a profit.
- Bedroom windows inaccurate, ended up keeping blinds closed whole time bc we didn't feel comfortable with having open
- Zero thought put into decorating the space; kitchen/living area feels like being in an office break room
- Living room was INCREDIBLY loud, and someone broke into the store below one night so the person in the living room got no sleep between the breaking of the glass and the alarm sirens and police
- We stayed for 3 nights and were hiking/beaching every day; when we asked for fresh towels, they send us a link to buy them instead of having more for us
- Worst of all: I spoke with 4 different people because it's a management company, they included no details in the AirBNB app and made their own website which was confusing as heck; also not local and provided horrible guidance for car parking bc they just did a quick maps search

We are more attentive to this type of situation because we know that this is an area that requires an high maintenance. With regard to the air conditioning, we prioritised installing it in the bedroom as this is the place that makes the most sense for our guests to rest well.

Excelente localização!
O apartamento tem tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia, cozinha bem equipada com tudo novo.
Cama muito confortável e a limpeza excelente também.
A melhorar a questão da água quente (ao segundo duche a água esfria) e fiquei sem perceber se podíamos usar o estendal da área de serviço. Faz falta estender uma toalha ou alguma roupa.
Relativamente a estacionamento na área aconselho usar os Parques 2000 - 4.50 ao dia e a 7 minutos a pé do apartamento.
O apartamento tem tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia, cozinha bem equipada com tudo novo.

- there are two Restaurant directly in front, in the evening you need to close the windows regarding the noise
- the bedroom window facing the backyard where is constantly the exhaust air installation of the restaurant under running - so no open window during night because of noise and smell
- the apartment door is very flimsy and all noise from the staircase and apartment next so can be heard
= great stay with earplugs during the nights 😅😜

I wish we could give 100 stars for the location! This apartment is right on a great pedestrian walk-way that isn’t noisy and has tons of cafes and restaurants. The kitchen is very sparse, but you’ll hardly be cooking with all of the cafes nearby.
The AC works great and can cool the entire apartment easily. Take note that the shower runs out of hot water after just 5 minutes, so it’s not ideal for couples or you can take shifts.

The apartment was very well maintained, it had interesting furniture and it didn't feel like a cheap IKEA copy paste. I especially liked the minimalist bedroom. Despite being in the heart of downtown the area is very quiet during the night, with no busses or heavy cars going on that road. I also found it very nice to work/study in the apartment as it was warm and with loads of natural light. I've received the code in the morning and was able to come earlier to the apartment and drop my luggage. The cleaning ladies came later and did a wonderful job. It is extremely easy to get in and out of the apartment and building, only thing is you need to keep your phone charged or memorize somehow the long door code (I had it on my phone).
I liked the "5 stars" hotel standards when it comes to cleanliness, I find that not all apartments owners nail this but this agency definitely knows how to keep all their apartments nice and tidy!
I just loved how in the morning that street smelled like fresh-baked pastries and coffee and you could see people going to work or opening their shops. It truly is the best apartment in Funchal, it feels like home yet it also allows you to experience/observe the life of the Portuguese people working in the city center.
One last important thing, it is a cozy apartment, this is incredibly important as old Portuguese houses tend to be damp and cold, the apartment is airy, bright and even on rainy days, the air-con keeps you warm.
The list of positive things about this apartment is endless, I stayed in Madeira for 2,5 months and this is the best accommodation I have found when it comes to apartments.
Perhaps something to improve is the number of emails received from both Booking and the company managing the apartment, it was a bit too many emails, and hard to navigate when I only needed the access code.
It would be amazing if you could add a small desk and an office chair as more and more people are coming to Madeira to study or work remotely.

Very good location, in the city center, on one of the oldest historical street of Funchal. Everything in walking distance, lots of good restaurants, shops...The apartment is very nice, modern, with the style, it is comfortable to come back to the apartment after charged day, we really felt us like home. We had amazing two weeks in Madeira, which we spent in 2 apartments in the downtown funchal apartments of an İsland apart! The building is super central and the apartments are equiped with everything you need! Restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and bus station are all within 5 minutes by foot! Therefore, the apartments are the perfect homebase to explore the city and the island! The communication with the host is fast and uncomplicated! Which made the transfer between apartments very easy!

We had a great time in the apartment, the facilities were spotless clean, recently renovated and super well decorated. We were 2 person only, and i'm sure that 4 people will stay comfortably accommodated.
Beside the apartment, there is a service room on the second floor, where you can access to the laundry (ready to use with washing and drying machines).
There is a modern elevator from ground to the apartment floor and the access works without keys.
Check-in experience is great, you get all the instructions and door codes in advance and everything worked as expected.

We stayed for one week in this nice apartment which was completely renovated and equipped with modern furniture in a nice style. Communication was always fast and helpful. Perfectly located in the middle of Funchal with many restaurants and shops around. Parks, nice plazas, the sea and bus stations in close walking distance. At night it was quiet and the comfortable bed also added to a refreshing sleep. All in all a great stay in Funchal.

The flat was just perfect, modern and comfortable Clean. Location was amazing, near the bus stations, restaurants and everyting you can need. Quiet place but right in the centre.

The flat is in the heart of Funchal, walking distance to everything in the city. Supermarket was really close! The flat was new, clean and nice. Kitchen had all things you need for cooking (no oven though). Would recommend this place!
