Excellent and high quality property. Host was very flexible and helpful with check in. Location is very central. The only negative thing is that its very central and there is a water canal passing by the property. So the noise level can be disturbing if you wanna hang out in the balcony or with open windows but thats expected when you book a very central property.

This is a beautiful apartment right in front of the Mercado dos Lavradores. Very convenient y located to many great restaurants and the city old center. The rooftop terrace and pool are great to relax at the end of the day. It was perfect for the four of us!

Great location & the open plan aspect of the spacious apartment worked wonderfully for our party (4 Adults). Bedroom 2 (the Queen) is located adjacent to the road. Although the windows are double glazed the road/vehicle noises is still apparent so a light sleeper maybe disturbed. Bedrooms 1 (The King) and 3 (The twin) are at right angles to the road & quieter. All bedrooms benefit from blackout blinds & net curtains. All the blinds/curtains are electric and operated via remote controls. The apartments central location is ideal for exploring Funchal on foot., access to shops, restaurants and other services (Hop on Hop Off Buses, Cable Car & local bus station).The lifts were always available. Disposing of Rubbish using the shoot system adjacent to the lifts on each floor was great. The communal pool on the 6th floor, although cold was still usable & provided great views. The coffee machine is made by Delta & we found pods in the very nearby supermarket. All in all a great visit.

The whole place was amazing. We were 7 people (all member of huge family, oldest was 75 years old). Everybody had its own privacy, we really enjoyed big kitchen, where we cooked some evenings. Location was perfect for Gardens, buses. The whole area was great for evening restaurants and walking. We really enjoyed the swimming pool on the roof after a walking day on levadas. We really recommend every bigger family and group of friends. I can not remember:)

We had an awesome stay in the apartment. The apartment was very spacious with incredible amenities and three amazing ensuite bedrooms. The balcony afforded great views of the town centre and the sea and was ideally placed for sightseeing great Cafes restaurants and the Mercado. Thoroughly recommend the flat.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a fantastic Airbnb in Funchal, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. This spacious and comfortable apartment was ideally located, putting us within walking distance of the city's vibrant center, beautiful beaches, and charming old town.

This was a fantastic place to stay. The location was perfect. We walked or took a short Uber to many lovely dinners and day activities. We were able to make arrangements for your pick ups easily. The unit itself is beautiful. Large, nicely appointed, and with everything you might need (dishes, laundry, iron, coffee machine, linens, etc.). The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were modern and luxurious, and the views were great. The building amenities were also excellent. We swam in the rooftop pool and took in views of the city and the hills. The security/front desk was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend.

The location of this property was perfect and the unit itself was modern, comfortable and spacious. I greatly appreciated having a separate dryer which is rare for many European countries. We had lots of space and the rooftop pool was a huge bonus. We went every day and most of the time had the place to ourselves. The air conditioning also worked amazingly at keeping the unit cool which was great given the higher than usual temperatures and high humidity. The unit needed a deep clean. We found all sorts of “gifts” from a used eyeliner pen from a previous guest to a piece of an orange peel and lots of crumbs in the creases of the dining room table chairs.
The instructions left by the property management company need updating. The wifi information was incorrect and the instructions for accessing the recycling room were so confusing we ended up lost on the parkade. Thankfully the door man helped us out.
Lastly, the master bedroom had quite a bit of road noise from trucks and buses passing by and restaurants across the street. For a brand new and modern place, I was surprised the soundproofing wasn’t better. I am a light sleeper and was often woken up by the traffic noise.

Bright, clean, well laid out and perfectly located.
We were able to access all of Funchal’s many tourist attractions within walking distance.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were only steps away and every location we tried served a fantastic meal.
The only negative were the “BTI’s” (Buses, Trucks and Idiots) … definitely loud and annoying.
We would go back to this location.

We just finished a week in this Funchal apartment with my family. It was very nice, even better than the photos. The furnishing were very comfortable, and the entire apartment was very clean with no wear. We were happy with the location as it is convenient to restaurants, grocery stores, and tourist activities. We would be happy to stay here again.

The apartment is amazing! It is even bigger than it looks on pictures. Kitchen is well equipped, everything was new. Guys from An Island Apart are really nice and helpful. They even have a website, where you can do you your chceck-in and has all the needed infos, very good idea. The only downside is the noise from the traffic as the apartment is situated on the first floor straight above a bus stop on a busy road. But it is only a small cost to pay for this centrally located wonderful apartment. I can only highly recommend this apartment!

Great apartment in a prime building. Almost brand new. Spacious, modern, matches the pictures perfectly. Location is most central and walking distance to many attractions including cable car, farmers market, cathedral, port, CR7 museum, high street, and lots of restaurants. Check-in and out were perfect. Host’s communication and online instructions excellent. Highly recommend this place if you want to stay in central Funchal.

This is apartment has potential to be five stars but is not there yet. Location is amazing and the building is chef’s kiss. But the property management company needs to pay attention to practical needs of users if this is going to be marketed as luxury. It is staged beautifully but lacks practicality…ex: lack of soap dispensers, lack of towels lacked sleeping pillows, towels that aren’t ripped or frayed….all simple changes.

absolutly beautiful place with ultra modern spotless decor. it is a brand new apartment, more like a hidden gem located in the heart of Funchal. Although the building is located adjacent to a busy street, the windows are properly insulated against noise. very professional & responsive host who gave excellent recommendations for tours, restaurants and rent a car, they even arranged airport pick up and transfer at a reasonable cost & they did that including check in procedure using a state of the art online system. to sum it up, we had an amazing experience & will definitely stay next time we visit Madeira.
