Le Malvasia Branca de São Jorge ou Malmsey est un cépage utilisé pour la production de vin de Madère.
Malvasia fait partie d'un groupe de propriétés appelé "The Wine Lodges", situé au cœur de la ville, dans un bâtiment historique qui abrite l'une des plus importantes caves à vin de Madère, propriété de l'emblématique famille Blandy.
Avec une décoration pensée dans les moindres détails, où l'élégance coexiste en symbiose avec l'histoire du bâtiment, cette propriété offre un excellent confort et des détails luxueux sans égal.
L'appartement dispose d'espaces généreux, ce qui le rend parfait pour des vacances avec un groupe d'amis ou une famille.
Situé au premier étage, dans sa superficie totale, nous trouvons une chambre principale, avec un lit double. La chambre d'amis est équipée de deux lits simples et le salon dispose d'un canapé-lit pour deux personnes.
Cette propriété peut accueillir un maximum de six personnes.
Le Wi-Fi est disponible dans toutes les zones de la maison.
Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur ni de parking privé.

La propriété est située dans la zone noble et centrale de Funchal. De cette propriété, vous serez en mesure de connaître tout le centre-ville et les principaux points d'intérêt. Cet appartement est situé juste à côté du célèbre jardin municipal de Funchal et très proche de la marina de Funchal et du théâtre municipal.

Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig, das Knarren vom Holzboden im Treppenhaus hört man auch noch im Schlafzimmer, die Wäde sind kahl, die Wohnung ist nicht gemütlich. Zudem ist dunkel, wenn die Sonne gerade nicht scheint. Kein Zimmer hat Deckenleuchte. Tritte und Geschpräche von oben hört man. Gerade der Raum mit dem grossen Esstisch ist dunkel, (kein Fenster) die Wände kahl, kein Bild und es gibt kein Tisch-Set oder Unetersetzer für die Teller.
Es gibt sehr vieles in der Wohnungm was reparaturbedürftig ist. Safe ist ausser Betrieb, Waschmaschine hat keine Gebrauchsanleitung.

Chão sujo com ferrugem/sangue quando entramos. Péssima atenção com os clientes quando foi solicitada ajuda no sentido de se limpar o chão.

A cama e os produtos de banho são detalhes importantes que iremos rever. Em relação às formigas, é um problema que pode surgir ocasionalmente e já tomámos medidas para tratar a situação.
Pedimos desculpa se o apartamento não correspondeu exatamente às fotos do anúncio e verificaremos isso para evitar mal-entendidos no futuro. Agradecemos por trazer essas questões à nossa atenção.

We stayed on the first floor, so we could hear people walking up the stairs outside the door, as well as the neighbors above. The apartment could use a little refresh; for example, the paint on the bathroom door was peeling. The floors were also squeaky. Unfortunately, the floors were dirty when we arrived – we couldn't walk around in socks because they got dirty quickly.

The location is superb - central, easy 5-10 minute walk to everywhere in old Funchal. A few minutes walk to shopping centre and supermarket.
The apartment is a little warn, with very creaky floors. Some of the decorative window trimmings have come off.

It was quite noisy - traffic and noise from outside. From inside - people walking on the wooden floors above our apartment. Also people coming in and out the apartment block door. We were on the first floor and unfortunately I'm a light sleeper.

The floor needs to be substitute with a brand new - it gets very noisy during the night whatever someone walks through. Watch out with the floor after taking a shower, since it gets very splippery.

Poor service….on arrival the entry code wasn’t as I was given so we had trouble accessing the property after a long day’s travel. Then had to ask for towels as there were none. Then had to further ask for a kitchen tea towel, one very worn one was brought round. Had also asked for our welcome pack which never materialised and also never got the hand soap that was supposed to be in the bathroom. Just felt like nobody cared at all. No plug in the kitchen and only 3 place knives. No literature about nearby supermarkets, restaurants etc. All this is easy to do. Very tired bathroom.

Parque de estacionamento não estava incluído e tivemos que pagar.
No check-in não nos informaram sobre qual era o nosso apartamento.
No check-in não nos informaram do protocolo para abrir a porta do apartamento.
No check-in não nos informaram que os lugares no parque de estacionamento eram reservados/marcados, o que gerou confusão, queixas e desconforto entre nós e outros utentes!
O piso do apartamento era em madeira podre. Os meus filhos magoaram-se (espetaram farpas de madeira na plataforma dos pés). O piso rangia (fazia imenso barulho com o caminhar), o que assustava os meus filhos quando íamos à casa de banho ou quando os vizinhos dos apartamentos dos pisos superiores o faziam!

Infelizmente para o hóspede, esta propriedade não tem pequeno-almoço incluído (nunca teve desde que é da nossa gestão) nem o parque de estacionamento está incluído no preço do alojamento. O parque é pago à parte e isso está anunciado na descrição da propriedade. É de lamentar que o hóspede não tenha lido todos os detalhes. É igualmente de lamentar que o hóspede, mesmo após termos fornecido o link da sua área de cliente, não tenha lido as informações acerca do parque pois estão lá alojadas todas as informações. Além disso, o número do parque está escrito no cartão de estacionamento. Em relação ao chão do apartamento, esta fracção está incluída num edifício histórico e precisa de algumas remodelações, inclusivamente, o chão do apartamento.
Da nossa parte, não recomendamos este hóspede a qualquer anfitrião pois não respeitou o lugar de estacionamento e prejudicou o funcionamento deste parque privado.

O parque de estacionamento é a pagantes. Quando nos forneceram o cartão do parque, não nos foi dito que os lugares do parque de estacionamento eram reservados, o que nos podia ter evitado queixas e transtorno dos outros utentes do parque.
O piso do apartamento está em estado miserável. Os meus filhos que gostam de andar descalços dentro de casa, ficaram com farpas de madeira espetadas nos pés! O soalho é em madeira antiga podre. Quando caminhamos faz um barulho ensurdecedor quer no N/ piso, quer nos pisos superiores! Os meus filhos ficaram com medo do barulho que vinha dos pisos superiores! Impensável! Horrível! Do pior que há!
A fechadura electrónica avariou. Ficamos horas com o apartamento sem segurança. Temos pelo furto dos n/ bens. Resposta do Staff foi péssima!

The property is dated and is now needing some general care and attention. The rooms are spacious but would benefit from decoration and repair. I particularly mention the bathroom which is becoming shabby and the flooring in the hall needs serious attention. Some floor boards are broken and they creak at every step. The carpet in the living area has many serious stains on it and is quite unsightly. We were given 4 bath towels for the week - 1 each, but there were no hand towels or soap in the bathroom. We contacted the agent with a request for these but that failed miserably, and our last WhatsApp message with the agent has yet to be opened. So communication with the agent, An Island Apart, fails the test I am afraid. Also future users need to be aware of the noise coming from the apartment above. I guess the floors are wooden and uncovered as in our apartment and the noise from the people walking about above is quite deafening at times.

We deeply regret the issues you've mentioned and truly apologize for the discomfort they caused. We understand that the condition of the property did not meet your expectations and we're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will take your comments regarding the carpet, the hallway floor, and the bathroom decoration into account as we continue to make improvements.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the lack of sufficient glassware, cutlery, and bath towels. These are aspects we will certainly take on board and rectify immediately.
About the communication, we didn't received any message from you in general WhatsApp (+351 925 444 444). If we received something we surely inform you that we just change the towels of reservation with more than 8 nights and as ou said you had 4 sets of towels and you were 4 people. Besides, the apartment has a clothes washing machine and the weather was very hot to dry the clothes and towels. In addition we have an option to guest pay an extra fee for new sets of towels.
Your comments regarding noise are also valuable to us. We will look into possible solutions to ensure a more peaceful environment for our future guests.

The kitchen could use a skillet and the owners need to include a dryer as well as the wash machine. But it’s doable.
If you use the private parking garage, keep the garage key with you, not in your car. Otherwise you may not get access to your vehicle
Ask for multiple contact numbers, in case of issues
And buy your own drinking water. The tap water tastes too strange.
Overall, a nice location and abode. Communication could be a bit more hospitable.

The noise from the tenants above was easy to hear, especially the constant walking about.

The only downside was the noise from the tenants above (we were on the 1st floor) We experienced 2 different tenants during our stay and it was easy to hear people walking about - the last group seemed to be walking about all the time and it was very disruptive.

Apart from that, the apartment was very well equipped. We would definitely go back if we could get the first floor flat. The stairs are more challenging for the higher flats.

Der gesamte Kontakt mit der Vermietungs-Agentur erfolgt über das Internet (zum Teil SMS oder Chat-Programm des Vermieters in Deutsch, zum Teil auch in Englisch). Die Agentur ist nur zu bestimmten Zeiten besetzt. Bei uns hat der geplante Transfer zum Flughafen über die Chat-Funktion der Agentur nicht funktioniert so dass wir uns selbst ein Taxi suchen mussten nachdem wir keine Rück-Bestätigung durch die Agentur erhielten.

Could be a tiny bit loud with events on in the park opposite, we stayed during the World Cup and they played every game on a big screen. But it had finished by the early evening and was peaceful after that!

O único senão deste apartamento, e só mesmo por uma questão de comodidade, é só dispôr de um WC que limita um pouco o uso no caso de serem mais que um casal.

Und das schlimmste, die Decken sind sehr dünn, man hört jeden Schritt vom Nachbarn als ob es im eigenen Appartement wäre... Und wenn die Nachbarn feiern 😭

Wir bedauern jedoch sehr, dass Ihr Aufenthalt nicht Ihren Erwartungen entsprochen hat. Ihre Hinweise zur Sauberkeit des Badezimmers und zur Vorbereitung des Sofas nehmen wir sehr ernst und werden diese umgehend mit unserem Reinigungsteam besprechen und verbessern. Das Fehlen von Reserve-Toilettenpapier ist ebenfalls nicht akzeptabel und wird umgehend korrigiert.
Es tut uns leid, dass Sie Schwierigkeiten hatten, uns zu erreichen. Wir werden unsere Kommunikationsprozesse überprüfen und sicherstellen, dass dies in Zukunft nicht mehr vorkommt.
Wir verstehen, dass Lärm von Nachbarn störend sein kann, und wir entschuldigen uns für eventuelle Unannehmlichkeiten. Wir nehmen Ihre Bedenken ernst und werden untersuchen, wie wir dies in Zukunft besser handhaben können.
