Dans cette petite villa composée de trois belles propriétés, vous pourrez profiter du calme et de la sérénité avec une vue imprenable sur l'océan Atlantique et Funchal.
Cette petite "ferme" est composée de trois maisons aux murs de pierre, de typologies différentes et entourées de petits jardins. Les maisons portent le nom d'arbres présents sur notre île.
Cette maison dispose d'une chambre avec deux lits simples, d'une salle de bain avec douche. La maison dispose d'une kitchenette entièrement équipée. Capacité maximale de deux personnes.
VUE D'ENSEMBLE DU QUARTIER
Dans le quartier de Choupana, vous trouverez un restaurant à 2 minutes en voiture de la propriété. La boulangerie la plus proche est à 5 minutes en voiture et le supermarché est à 10 minutes en voiture, près du centre-ville.
Le centre-ville est à 15 minutes en voiture.
Le quartier est calme et tranquille. De là, vous pouvez vous rendre dans n'importe quelle partie de l'île en empruntant les routes municipales qui sont reliées à l'autoroute.
Louer une voiture est la meilleure option pour découvrir l'île à votre propre rythme.

Great location and high quality, with a minor downside
We had a wonderful time at this place! The location is excellent—situated high above Funchal, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere away from the city’s hustle and bustle. The rooms were very well maintained and comfortable, meeting our expectations in terms of quality.
The only thing worth mentioning is the access—it’s located on a steep hill, and the roads leading up to it are quite steep as well. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to keep in mind. The only real downside was the ants—they were everywhere, so we had to be careful with food and store it properly.
Despite this, I would still highly recommend this place, especially to those who don’t mind small inconveniences. Overall, a very good stay!

Leider ging die Dusche nicht, was ich einem Mitarbeiter per Chat mitteilte. Dieser versicherte mir, dass ein Mechaniker nun Bescheid wisse und diese sobald wie möglich reparieren würde. Zwei ganze Tage später war er aber immer noch nicht da. Ich hab glücklicher Weise den Fehler gefunden und die Dusche selbst reparieren können. Außerdem waren an den Wänden komische Flecke. Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob es sich hierbei um weißen Schimmel oder Salpeter handelt. Ich hoffe mal dass es nichts gesundheitsschädigendes war. Zu dieser Jahreszeit wird es abends und nachts relativ kalt im Gebäude. Die Heizungen kommen kaum hinterher und durch die Fenster zieht es rein. Es gibt aber genügend zusätzliche Decken um sich warmzuhalten. Abgesehen davon ist es eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Man hat vom Haus selbst einen tollen Ausblick aufs Meer. Außerdem ist es ein sehr schönes bepflanztes Grundstück. Von ein paar Stellen kann man ganz Funchal sehen. Perfekte Lage wenn man auch mal Wandern gehen will.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Wel is de woning iets gedateerd en dat merk je. Vooral de badkamer mag wel een kleine opfrisbeurt krijgen. Dit hebben we doorgegeven en zouden ze oppakken. Wat dan weer erg goed is! Het is een heerlijk rustig en privé verblijf. Maar wees je wel bewust dat er vrijwel niks op loopafstand is, dus als je ergens heen wil moet je altijd met auto. Je zit vrij hoog, waardoor je veel in de wolken zit. Hierdoor is het kouder dan bijv. in Funchal. Locatie is wel goed te vinden en instructies zijn duidelijk. Al met al hebben wij een heerlijk, rustig verblijf gehad. Wij zijn snel tevreden met weinig. En dat is hier nodig! :)

Lovely peaceful accommodation in the hills with a great view. Simple set-up but has everything you need for a week. The hosts were really good at communicating and resolved issues very quickly. You just need to be a confident driver to get up the steep roads leading to the property.

Ausblick Unterkunft war nicht sauber, Service am Ort nicht erreichbar. Küchengeräte nicht Funktionsfähig . Matratzen durchgelegen. Duschkabine sehr uneben und unstabil, Rutschgefahr sehr hoch. Ameisen in der Küche waren sehr viel. Mülltonne war nicht geleert und rochen sehr unangenehm. im Haus riecht es sehr muffig.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in Choupana mit einem fantastischen Ausblick, einer hübschen Gartenanlage und sicherem Parkplatz. Das Häuschen ist ruhig aber trotzdem gut angebunden gelegen oberhalb von Funchal, direkt am Einstieg zu einer schönen Levada und zwei Bushaltestellen. Dennoch lagen in der Unterkunft veraltete Informationen aus und bei der Kommunikation mit drei verschiedenen Kontaktpersonen kam es zu Verwirrungen. Zwei mal kam ein Service zum Betten und Tücher wechseln, was nett war. Allerdings beim zweiten Mal nicht vorher angemeldet. Außerdem haben leider nicht alle elektrischen Geräte so gut funktioniert und ein paar Sachen zum kochen gefehlt (kleine Messer z.B.). Bis auf gelegentliches Hundegebell aus dem Dorf haben wir gut geschlafen und auch sonst unsere Ruhe gehabt, von benachbarten Ferienwohnungen hat man kaum was mitbekommen.

Das ganze Anwesen der Unterkunft waren wie auf den Fotos wirklich sehr schön und die Aussicht war traumhaft. Die Matraze in unserem Bett war uns beiden leider zu hart. Außerdem hat man nachts lange Hunde belllen gehört, wofür die Unterkunft jedoch nichts dafür kann. Das Bad ist etwas klein aber wie auf den Fotos.

Prijetno bivanje nad Funchalom. Cesto do hiške so strme in ozke, a se hitro navadiš in ni večjih težav, je pa zato iz posestva čudovit razgled na mesto. Sama hiška je v skladu z opisom, edino kuhinjska oprema je osnovna in nekoliko zastarela, kar lahko predstavlja izziv, če nameravate veliko kuhati. Komunikacija je bila odzivna in prijazna. Čistoča nastanitve je bila zadovoljiva, kar je prispevalo k udobnemu bivanju. Posestvo je sicer mirno, a se iz okolice res sliši lajanje psov in zna biti zvečer malo moteče. Na splošno priporočam to mesto za sproščujoče in mirno bivanje, še posebej za tiste, ki uživajo v naravi in lepih razgledih.

- Las vistas de la terraza y que el sitio es muy tranquilo. - El exterior de la casa y los jardines son muy bonitos. - Llegar al alojamiento es complicado por las calles MUY empinadas y los coches aparcados en el carril de la calle. Necesitas un coche de alquiler con suficiente potencia para llegar y mucho mejor si es automático porque son pendientes MUY fuertes y la entrada a la finca para aparcar tampoco es fácil... - El sitio estaba sucio a la llegada, al lado de la terraza habia un cubo de basura bastante lleno y a mitad de nuestra estancia nos cambiaron sábanas y toallas pero NO limpiaron nada en absoluto y añadieron a ese cubo de basura más basura (la nuestra y de otras casas), lo que atrajo a animales que tiraron el cubo y esparcieron toda la basura por el suelo llegando a nuestra terraza. Así permaneció todos los restantes días de nuestra estancia, atrayendo incluso algún ratón pequeño que pudimos ver. - la relación de calidad precio es MUY elevada respecto a las instalaciones interiores de la casa: utensilios de cocina escasos y viejos, (como la sartén MUY usada, rallada y desgastada) o por ejemplo ningún cuchillo para cortar bien. Elementos fáciles de sustituir si se rompen y más cuando estás alquilando a ese precio, como por la papelera de la cocina (cuya tapa estaba rota), los colgadores del baño rotos, muy viejos y oxidados... - La ducha muy pequeña con puertas muy sucias y que no cierran bien... - la cama incómoda (eran dos camas individuales juntas) y a ambas se le notaban mucho los muelles. Está queja se repite en otras reseñas antiguas que pudimos ver más tarde, por lo que creo que al precio que cobran deberían tomar medidas para solucionarlo. - En el baño tan solo había jabón de manos pero no champú ni gel en la ducha. Lo que si que tienen es un secador de pelo y plancha para la ropa (no lo usamos pero si que existía)

The house is cute, in a very green and beautiful area. The view was very nice. The bathroom and kitchen were a little dirty and the kitchen didn‘t have a lot of utsensils. The first two days in the mornings we were visited by little lizards which came into the house from underneath the door so we blocked the gap with a blanked and then it was fine. But dealing with some lizards and insects is normal and something you have to accept when booking a airbnb in the hills of Madeira.

Insgesamt eine tolle Unterkunft, wenn man flexibel und unabhängig auf Madeira Urlaub machen möchte. Wir sind zu jeder tollen Location auf der Insel maximal 1h 15min mit Auto hingefahren. Da sich die Unterkunft am Hang überhalb von Funchal befindet müssen vorweg steile und enge Straßen bewältigt werden. Die Aussicht lohnt sich jedoch sehr! 😊 Nach 5 Nächten wurden zudem unsere Handtücher gewechselt und die Unterkunft sauber gemacht.
Das einzige was wir uns gewünscht hätten wäre eine besser ausgestattete Küche. Leider verfügt die Unterkunft lediglich über 2 Induktionskochfelder und eine Mikrowelle (Ersatz für den Ofen). Ein paar mehr große Töpfe und Pfannen, die induktionsfähig sind, wären ebenso toll gewesen sowie kleine scharfe Küchenmesser. Doch letztendlich haben wir trotzdem lecker kochen können!
Ein Highlight waren die aus dem Garten frisch geernteten Früchte, welche uns umsonst vor die Haustür gestellt worden sind und super lecker waren.

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt in diesem Häuschen, schöner Blick vom Hügel hinab. Auch im Sommer hatten wir angenehme Temperaturen. Das haus selbst ist nett eingerichtet. Die Anfahrt ist etwas herausfordernd da es doch weit oben auf einem steilen Hügel steht, aber ist das erst mal geschafft erwartet einen ein nettes Häuschen.

Upon entering there was a strong musty smell. We then saw the white mould growing out of the walls in every room of the accommodation. Including directly next to the bed and in the kitchen space.
The accommodation had also not been cleaned as we found used contact lenses on the bedside table and dirty surfaces throughout.
The fact that they are willing to list this property in such a condition speaks volumes about the kind of company you are dealing with.
We were promptly issued a refund and had to scramble to find new accommodation late in the evening of our arrival.

Unterkunft liegt sehr privat, die Auffahrt auf dem Grundstück entsprechend abenteuerlich. Die Betten waren extrem durchgelegen, die Auflagen stark verschmutzt und generell lagen viele Haare und Dreck auf der Terrasse. Sauberkeit im inneren auch verbesserungsbedürftig, man darf nicht genauer hinschauen!
Einzig allein der günstigere Preis und flexible An- und Abreise war ein Trost. Wir würden die Unterkunft nicht empfehlen und lieber ein paar Euro mehr für den „Wohlfühlfaktor“ ausgeben.
Sehr schade, denn mit ein wenig Ausbesserung könnte das eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft sein.

Cute little apartment above Funchal. Not sure about later in the year but was often cloudy when Funchal was clear and sunny. Would have been difficult to get about without a hire car.

Die Anlage und das kleine Apartment sind sehr ruhig auf einem Berg über Funchal gelegen mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf Stadt/Meer. Für die Anreise ist ein Auto (besser ein kleines) vorteilhaft. Die Angebote für Touren des Gastgeber haben wir nicht genutzt. Die Einfahrt ist eng und die Straßen dort hin sehr steil. Aber auch mit einem Kleinwagen mit wenig PS gut machbar. Der Check-In war sehr flexibel und die Unterkunft wie beschrieben. Das Bett ist nicht das beste und man spürt die Federn der Matratze im Rücken. Die Küche war dafür sehr gut ausgestattet! Leider gab es ein paar Ameisen, die aber nicht weiter gestört haben. Wir waren im März da und tagsüber und nachts war es wegen der hohen Lage wirklich sehr kalt und auch feucht in der Wohnung, da die Heizung bereits abgeschaltet war. Es gab zum Glück genug Decken. Ich würde allerdings nächstes Mal im Winter/Frühling noch etwas wärmere Kleidung mit einpacken. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder :-)

Would definitely return! A lovely place in the hills. Beautiful flowers and views, great spots for sunsets and even the sunrise.
Facilities are simple, but all work well.
Not easy to get a taxi into Funchal. If you want to explore the night life, we recommend booking a Bolt ahead of time. Getting a taxi home wasn't a problem at all. The direct road (Caminho do Meio) is particularly steep (first gear all the way) but there are alternatives.

You will stay in a charming cottage, surrounded by an astonishing garden and overlooking the vast, enchanting ocean. The cottage is not very new, you can see that most of its equipment has been heavily used for many years. But this is not the five star hotel that you were signing up for, so you are ok with the scratches on the sofa, broken bench on the terrace or some ants in the bathroom and just embrace the tranquility and beauty of this place. Some sad vibes with the leftovers of a SPA nearby that burned in the 2016' wildfire, hope it will be renovated soon and this beautiful levada will regain its past glamour!

Piękne ustronne miejsce, z widokiem na i ocean. Dom z duszą. Podjazdy bardzo strome. Praktycznie nie można tam dojść na piechotę z centrum. Dojazd tylko autem i to z bardzo doświadczonym kierowcą. Przywykliśmy do tych atomizm po kilku dniach. Generalnie miejsce warte polecenia. Dom uroczy i zapewnia komfort wakacji bez innych turystów tuż obok.

We had a rental car due to the location. It was worth it. This property was next level beautiful. So much work went into the gardens and overall property I don’t even have the words to properly show admiration. If you get the opportunity to experience this, just do it. 10/10 from Canada!!

Logement très sympa sur les hauteurs de Funchal La literie est bonne et la cuisine bien équipée. La vue est extraordinaire. Par contre comme beaucoup de logement à Madeire, la maison est un peu humide ce qui ne pose problème que pour que les serviettes de bains sèchent (idem dehors) un conseil emportez avec vous une serviette supplémentaire ce qui vous permettra d'avoir 2 jours pour en sécher 1.

Quinta Devonia was a nice house in a secluded location, with all the amenities you need for a holiday. Great base for exploring the island, close to Funchal and not far from the airport. Highly recommend renting a car if staying here, and worth noting that there are several very steep hills to access the property (however there is a slightly longer but less steep drive via the football stadium to get there). We had a lovely stay.

Amazing house - very homey and the kitchen was very well stocked and easy to use. The property is also beautiful and very serene. wifi is also pretty good - no issues streaming or doing some work up there.
A few other people mentioned this as well, but I didn’t fully understand how steep it was to get to the house! The last 2km are pretty steep, so just be prepared, but the view of the sea and the house itself are definitely worth it.

Wat waren wij verrast van het huisje! Zo ontzettend schattig. Om er te komen moet je echt een steile berg op en weet je eerst echt niet waar je uitkomt, maar de locatie is fantastisch. Heel rustig (op hondengeblaf uit de buurt na) en gelegen in een prachtige tuin. Het huisje zelf heeft alle voorzieningen die nodig zijn. Keukenuitrusting is wel echt bij elkaar geraapt haha, maar wel volledig. Douchecabine is echt aan vervanging toe en we hadden veel problemen met het krijgen van warm water.
We kregen contactgegevens door van de persoon die bereikbaar was voor vragen. Deze persoon nam helaas niet op en reageerde ook niet op berichten. We hadden problemen met het toegangshek, was ze heel slecht bereikbaar. Toen we op tijd naar de luchthaven moesten, werd het toch wel erg spannend omdat het hek weer weigerde. Beter bereikbaarheid zou fijn zijn.
Funchal is zo'n 10 min rijden (lopen is geen optie) de berg af. Wij hebben genoten van de rust en het prachtige plekje. Madeira is fantastisch!

Die Unterkunft war rustikal aber sehr gemütlich. Die Einrichtung war etwas veraltet aber das ist geschmackssache. Alles in Allem hatten wir einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen, jedoch ist die Zufahrt sehr steil daher achtet bitte auf ein wenig mehr PS bei den Mietfahrzeugen (wir hatten einen Opel Corsa mit 82 PS - ein wenig mehr PS hätten nicht geschadet, sind aber dennoch gut rauf und runter gekommen - eine gute Fahrtkenntnis ist sehr von Vorteil (nichts für Fahranfänger)).

Supercute cottage up in the mountains of Funchal! Perfect for a night or two to relax and enjoy the view.
A rental car is a must (so are proper driving skills in mountains with steep streets), unless you're packing light and walk up to the bus stop 5-10 min away. Check the schedule as the busses don't go often and taxi's/Bolt will cancel your ride once seeing the pick-up location. On the way back a cab will cost you around 20,- from Funchal city centre.
Unlike many of the reviews I found the property very clean with good facilities. Apart from the bed which really needs a new mattress. I probably still have a print from those springs in my back. The transfer the property owner arranged dropped me off at the gate with all my luggage and a steep hike to my cottage instead of to the actual cottage.
For some reason there are dozens of dogs in the area who bark non-stop and mostly at night. Bring earplugs, it's honestly like you're in the middle of an animal shelter, what's going on?!
Communication with the property owner was super slow, so make sure you get all your information beforehand. Several messages remained unresponded to.

Wir verbrachten eine schöne Woche in der Unterkunft mit überragendem Ausblick aufs Meer & ins Grüne. Das Grundstück ist sehr schön bepflanzt & man hat Privatsphäre. Das Badezimmer ist schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen & auch die Matratzen beider (Einzel)betten sind durchgelegen & nicht grad bequem… Leider war auch das Geschirr nicht einwandfrei sauber, aber im Großen und Ganzen war die Wohnung sauber & das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt! Ein Parkplatz ist gegeben, die Anfahrt erfordert jedoch fortgeschrittene Fahrkenntnisse & sollte keinesfalls von Fahranfängern bewältigt werden.

You can get some really amazing views of Madeira, sun rises and sun sets 👌 the cottage is old so don’t expect brand new furnishings. For us it was a lovely, rural get away to reflect and wind down on what was an incredible holiday.
Things to note: definitely need a car to get there, very steep drive up so be warned.
Make sure to stock up on shopping before you arrive as no large supermarkets close by,

We had a really nice stay! Beautiful house, beautiful nature and a beautiful view. A very very peaceful place. The kitchen had everything you need! Beds are good. We definitely had a lovely stay here. Steep ride to the house, but not undoable. Check in was very easy, good communication and we were able to already check in at 12, which was very nice. Tip: just down the road is a nice, cute and easy levada to walk!
One note we gave to the owner: the shower hose was leaking very bad. Because of this the shower had not much power and it took very long time to wash our hair. But mostly we felt bad because we were wasting water. We hope for the next guest that they repaired it, so the shower is more sustainable again :).
Other than that it was a perfect stay!

We had a great time, we stayed 10 days. Beautiful view and very cosy. The kitchen had the basic utilities and can use a grill on the terrance. The hosts responded quickly and always available for help if needed. The ride to the house is definitely only for experiences drivers and we would recommend a medium sized car for the whole island.

Unser Aufenthalt in „Fünfte Devonia III - Walnuss“ war super! Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage, der Blick über Funchal und das Meer ist fantastisch! Der Weg ist abenteuerlich aber das sind die meisten Straßen dort :-) Die Ausstattung hat alles hergegeben, was wir brauchten. Auch die Kommunikation mit der Vermietung lief einwandfrei. Wir hatten uns kurz ausgeschlossen und es kam innerhalb von 30 Minuten jemand vorbei um uns zu öffnen. Es gab sogar eine Zwischenreinigung. Ein Besen oder Kehrwisch um Zwischendurch selbst sauber zu machen gab es nämlich nicht. Bei einem Besuch im Herbst, muss man damit rechnen, dass das Haus im Nebel bzw einer Wolke liegt. Das Wetter ist somit immer beim losfahren eine Überraschung - zu Halloween war das sehr passend ;-)

We spend here for two weeks and it was so wonderful. The place was exactly like in pictures and the view was almost more beautiful. It was nice and quiet and everyone was so helpful. We didn't have car, so needed good shoes for hiking, but the bus goes also quite near and quite often.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Madère. Jolie maison sur les hauteurs de Funchal. Cachée au milieu de la nature luxuriante !
On adore : le lieu, la nature autours On a moins aimé : la salle de bain un peu vétuste, l’humidité présente dans cette maison ancienne
Mais on recommande malgré tout !

Das Haus, die Lage, die Ruhe, der Ausblick. einige Küchenutensilien wäre schön (Sieb, kleine Löffel, Brotmesser), vielleicht eine Wolldecke für kühlere Stunden. Stecker der Lampen kontrollieren. Deutsches Satellitenfernsehen wäre nicht schlecht. Aber alles nur Anregungen.

Eine absolut wunderschöne Location mit großartigem Blick über Funchal und doch mitten in der Natur. Die Straße dort hoch ist eine kleine Herausforderung, man sollte nicht unbedingt Fahranfänger sein 😉 Die Kommunikation mit An Island Apart ist super - sehr prompt, klar und zuverlässig. Sogar ein early Check-in wurde uns gewährt. Betten fand ich auch gut, sehr breit und die Matratzen etwas härter, was für mich persönlich perfekt ist.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Die Lage ist schon fast ländlich oberhalb von Funchal mit Blick auf ein Seitental und den Atlantik. Neben ein paar feuchten Abenden, wenn der Passat die Wolken an Land treibt und sie sich oben auf Höhe der Quinta in den Bergen festhängen, hatten wir auch sonnige Abenden. Praktisch war die gute Anbindung an das Bussystem, in nur 15 Minuten ist man unten in der Innenstadt am Atlantik. Die Anfahrt ist etwas schwierig. Am besten lässt man sich zum Eingang des ehemaligen Choupana Hill Spa Ressort leiten. Gleich darüber ist Quinta Devonia in ihrer tollen Gartenanlage.

Quinta Devónia is a beautiful place, located in the outskirts of Funchal, high in the mountains. The house (we were staying at Walnut/Noguera) is located in a middle of a beautiful garden with different sorts of flowers and other greenery. The house is a traditional “quinta”, with lots of traditional old furniture and other accessories which gives a very special and cosy atmosphere to the place. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The views are also amazing, from the covered patio we could enjoy views over the sea and all the flowers in the garden around. But actually the view is to be seen from every single window of the house. There is a bus that stops around the corner, 5 min walking, and takes you in 15-20min to the centre of Funchal. For the hikes we used our rental car except for Levada dos Tornos which passes just below the house; you can follow it to get to Monte in about 40min or walk the other direction to Camacha The ride to the place was nerve wracking as we were not prepared for the steep streets of Funchal and especially the one leading to the Quinta. The car barely managed - be prepared to be able to drive only on gear 1. Later you get used to this road and it gets easier. The place was not easy to find. We stopped at Choupana spa, but actually we were supposed to drive just few meters further. We called the host, but the communication with the hosts was not ideal. Once in the garden of Quinta Devónia the next challenge was to actually find the house, the boards are not easy to see from the car as they are located very low and covered with greenery. the kitchen and the bathroom are big basic, but this is part of the charm of the place ;)

Loved the views and the garden and plants. Liked the covered outdoor space with sunbeds. Very difficult to find at night, and once inside gate hard to find property in the dark. Bathroom small and old fashioned and broken towel hangers. Noisy at night, wind whistling through electricity wires and continuous barking dogs , take ear plugs! Check out instructions are to leave keys in the house and shut the door..unfortunately you then can't leave as you can't open the electric gate without the key! Don't put keys in house, open gate, drive out and put keys back in key box.

Das Haus ist super ruhig oben auf dem Berg über Funchal gelegen. Am besten schaut man sich vorher Mal genau an wo das Navi einen lang fahren lässt, da die kürzeste Route auch die schmalste und steilste Straße ist die man finden kann, es gibt einen besseren, angenehmeren weg als den. Das Haus selber ist schon und sauber, lediglich das Bad hätte eine Sanierung nötig. Daher gibt es davon wohl auch keine Bilder. Den Außenbereich könnte man ebenfalls liebevoller und sauberer gestalten. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden aber das gewisse etwas und der Blick für's Detail fehlt.

Logement Propre et agréable, très joli jardin. Un peu loin du centre à pied( ça grimpe énormément! pas très agréable pour descendre... ) c'est préférable de prendre la voiture. Jolie vue et assez calme. Équipements bien suffisant et correct sauf la douche, je pense le tuyau est à changer gros manque de pression. Communication excellente, rapide et efficace ! Je recommande fortement 😊

I loved the location. The location is perfect if you want to relax (and for home office) in beautiful surroundings. Maybe not the best location if you want to live in/ near the city center, but we took the bus every day (number 29), and it takes only about 15 min. So it was perfect for our aim, which was to live outside the city, but still close enough so we could go shopping for groceries and go out for dinner The shower, hardly any water comes out

Great location on the mountain, away from the noise and tourism. The terrace is great and we spent many hours relaxing there and enjoying the view.
The water pressure in the shower was less than good, and the beds a little to the hard side, but I think that’s the only negative thing we have to say about this lovely house.
The drive up there was very scary! In the end we ended up taking a route via the football stadium which felt more secure, so we recommend that if the narrow mountain roads scare you a bit.

Beautiful cottage in a magnificent garden! The equipment is simple but sufficient and we loved the decorations. It is bigger than we expected! Location and view (close to a Verada) are stunning - you will see rabbits and goats running around the garden and there are flowers and lemon trees everywhere. And it is always sunny at the top of the hill! Some pathways were a bit overgrown and could be difficult for people with limited mobility - but for everyone else it is perfect :)

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr schön, wenn man gerne abseits des trubeligen Funchals wohnen möchte. Der Blick auf Meer ist wirklich toll. Bewusst muss einem sein, dass die Steigung tatsächlich ordentlich ist, und dass man nicht mal eben abends aus der Stadt nach Hause laufen kann. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist leider wirklich in die Jahre gekommen und für mich persönlich hätte es sauberer sein müssen. Die Kommunikation, sowie der Check-in waren nett und völlig problemlos.

Die Lage über Funchal ist gut, aber die Anfahrt nichts für ungeübte Fahrer. Das Haus ist äußerlich schön, aber innen schon sehr verbraucht, insbesondere das Bad. Das Bett ist gemütlich. Dennoch wird der Schlaf leider von den bellenden Nachbarshunden gestört. Die Küche könnte besser ausgestattet sein. Die Vormieter haben dreckiges Geschirr hinterlassen. Mit dem Gastgeber konnte aber eine einvernehmliche Lösung gefunden werden.

This was one of our best vacations. We loved our charming little Nogueira house and the spacious garden with spectacular flowers and ferns and trees. We enjoyed the self catering facilities as well as the possibility to order food. The neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant. Communication with our hosts (An Island Apart) was smooth and fast. We would love to return to Madeira for another stay at Quinta Devonia.

Our stay in the Nogeira house of Qinta Devonia was very pleasant. This cozy little house is perfectly equipped for self catering. We enjoyed the huge garden with its incredible abundance of flowers and trees. The neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant. As Qinta Devonia is located at some distance to the city of Funchal I would recommend to rent a car to be able to move around the island indepently. Communication with An Island Apart was smooth and fast. We were well informed and they reacted flexibly to our request for an earlier check in. We can wholeheartedly recommend to spend some relaxing days in one of the charming Qinta Devonia houses.

Das Haus ist wirklich super schön und mit dem Garten eine kleine Oasis. Der Weg zum Haus ist zwar steil, aber dafür ist man in wenigen Minuten mitten in Funchal.

Die Unterkunft war super und die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. Der Weg zur Unterkunft ist allerdings sehr abenteuerlich:-) nicht leicht zu finden beim ersten Mal. Auch sorgen die Dorf-Hunde leider für schlaflose Nächte:-(

The apartment is in a beautiful location. The garden and the view is amazing. In the apartment it is a little bit moist. But I think that's normal for the location of the apartment. The weather was not so warm and also more moist than at the bottom of the hill in Funchal. But otherwise the apartment is nice and we had everything we needed. Communication with the agency An Island was good and the check-in/check-out was easy.

Très belle vue sur Funchal et la mer . Le gîte est agréable même s’il est peu spacieux et pas encore complètement au point (Il n’est en location que depuis un mois) et il y a pas de mal petits soucis. L’agence qui s’en occupe est réactive et fait des efforts. Ils nous ont dit qu’ils allaient essayer d’arranger les choses. Le lit est large, mais ce sont deux lits une place avec literies distinctes qui sont collés ensemble. L’extérieur de la maison dans la propriété partagée est magnifique avec tous ces hortensias majestueux et cette riche végétation. Électrosensibles s’abstenir car il y a une ligne haute tension juste au-dessus de la maison !

The house is very cosy and comfortable and you can enjoy amazing views over Funchal and the ocean. The city center of Funchal is a 15-20 min ride by car, which was a pretty good distance to manage and to combine with grocery shopping. The bed was big and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are small but you find all necessary for a nice stay. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend it to all nature lovers.

Beau cottage au calme situé dans un jardin luxuriant, avec une belle vue sur Funchal. Les chiens environnants étaient juste un peu bruyants par moment la nuit, mais supportable.
