Ici, vous serez tout près du centre de Funchal ! Son emplacement vous permet de vous déplacer, à pied, vers les sites les plus intéressants de la ville.
Cet appartement accueille quatre personnes au total, deux dans une chambre avec un lit double et deux dans un canapé-lit, disponible dans le salon. Dans les espaces communs de l'immeuble, vous trouverez une piscine, partagée par la copropriété, où vous pourrez profiter du beau temps et bronzer en compagnie de vos amis et de votre famille !
Si vous souhaitez louer une voiture, l'immeuble dispose d'un garage où vous pourrez vous garer.
La maison est entièrement équipée de toutes les commodités.
VUE D'ENSEMBLE DU QUARTIER
Il y a plusieurs cafés à proximité. La plupart des magasins, centres commerciaux et supermarchés sont à dix minutes de marche.
Cet appartement est proche du marché des agriculteurs, de la vieille ville de Funchal et de la cathédrale. De là, vous pouvez explorer à pied les différents sites de notre belle ville. (par exemple, le téléphérique, la marina de Funchal, le musée CR7, le Madeira Wine Lodge, etc ...)

The property is in a very poor condition. An electrical socket was hanging out of the wall when we arrived and we had no hot water for two days. Much of the paintwork on the walls and doors is very badly worn and chipped. Some of the bottom of the bathroom door is missing. The toilet cistern makes a very loud whistling noise when filling. The hair drier sounded terrible and smelt of burning. The floor in the lounge area has lifted dangerously in places. There appeared to be blood stains on the bedroom wall (? from swatted mosquitos)The bedroom is much too cramped for the bed, there being no proper side access. The cutlery in the kitchen is exceptionally uncomfortable to use. The shower temperature is unpredictable and very difficult to regulate. Potentially a nice apartment but needs investment and proper maintenance. There is no way that it currently justifies four stars.

Het was vies. Overal mieren en super veel muggen. Moesten snel douchen ivm het warme water. In de slaapkamer was het 27 graden. Wil niet weten hoe warm het hier in de zomer is. Voor ons was bouw, naast ons werd een appartement gerenoveerd dus lawaai van 8.00-19.00 uur.. het zwembad was vies. Het is een flat met 90% bewoners en 10% vakantiegangers. Wij hadden dit niet verwacht dus er was totaal geen gezelligheid. Bewoners laten hun honden uit in de tuinen.. bij het doorspoelen van de wc komt er een super hoge piep. Je moet een een erg steile heuvel omhoog lopen.. laten we zeggen dat dit met een kinderwagen niet fijn is.
Erg jammer. Op de foto’s lijkt het allemaal erg luxe maar de foto’s doen anders lijken. We konden de parkeerplek niet vinden, deze stond anders aangegeven. Gelukkig konden we ons contactpersoon bereiken en stond hij ons op te wachten. We werden fijn geholpen met de koffers dus dat was allemaal prima.
We kwamen hier om nog een paar daagjes te relaxen maar helaas is dat niet gelukt.

Wat betreft insecten zoals mieren en muggen begrijpen wij dat deze voor ongemak kunnen zorgen. Vanwege het subtropische klimaat van het eiland Madeira maken insecten van nature deel uit van het lokale ecosysteem, en ondanks onze voortdurende inspanningen om de besmetting te bestrijden, kan hun aanwezigheid af en toe voorkomen.
Wij waarderen uw opmerking over de garage en de steun van onze contactpersoon, die op alle mogelijke manieren probeerde te helpen. Het spijt ons dat uw verblijf niet zo ontspannend was als verwacht en we hopen dit te verbeteren op basis van uw feedback.

The property is very very used. The bed and the sofa were uncomfortable. The apartment was full of mosquitos not only in the air also bloody spots everywhere on the walls. The floor and the walls were also dirty. The walls are thin so you can enjoy the sounds of the neighbors. Next to the property a buliding is under construction that is why the place is noisy from 8 am until 6 pm.

Mieren in keuken en ook in bed, overal platgeslagen muggen, vieze gordijnen en vieze kussentjes op de stoelen, hele smalle slaapkamer zodat je vanuit het voeteind het bed in moest kruipen. Late checkout niet mogelijk terwijl we vanaf 12 u buiten hebben gezeten met onze koffers en om 15.30 uur nog niemand zagen om het appartement schoon te maken…. Latere checkout had dus gewoon gekund!!

About the late check-out, we didn't any request from you and actually wasn't possible because the next guests checked-in at 18:00 and the cleaners arrived to clean at 16:00. Usually, when you have check-in in the same day than the check-out, the late check-out it's not available.

I would describe the condition of the apartment as "fair" or "OK" instead of "Good"/"Great";
Pluses:
+ It is with a good location; you can walk to city center of Funchal
+ Pool is nice
+ Cleaners came 3 times to change towels
+ Parking spot included
+ Kitchen (basic)
+ Laundry machine
Minuses:
- No smart-TV
- First floor, so ants & mosquitoes get in
- Neighbors have dogs that bark all the time (we kept the doors & windows open).
- Check-in instructions were not good; I had to contact property separately and call a person that did not speak english properly..
- Toilet makes high pitch sound after flushed
- Bedroom door handle is loose and makes a loud sound when opening the door (you will wake up your partner when going to toilet)
- General condition outdated (e.g moisture damage on the hallway floor)

When we came they were doing some maintenance for the building by painting the facade, so we were not able to use the balcony nor have a view on the pool since the whole place was covered with a construction curtain ; for that, I asked a discount when they notified us, which they gave me (10% of the price).
The living room and the bedroom are fine & feel pretty cosy ; the pool area is great, and there is a parking spot included in the rental, which is very very practical if you want to rent a car. The location is very good, really near from the center, juste next to the flower market!

All in all still a great place to stay, right in the center of funchal. The rest of the appartment was in good condition and furnished nicely. Also, the parking lot in the garage was very helpful.

The fridge makes a loud sound periodically but easy to ignore. Regarding the leakage in the shower, this is because there's a small slit between the glass screen and the bathtub and I fixed it by sliding a towel into the slit. No more water on the floor! The apartment is located on a steel hill, so may not be ideal for those who find it difficult to walk up hills but shouldn't be a problem if you have a car. There's a garage as well.

la propreté de l’appartement , sa fonctionnalité, et sa localisation . le calme de la résidence , la piscine était également propre. une place de parking en intérieur .
En 10minutes à pied on est dans le centre historique avec les restaurants et tout , et aussi de la côte , donc vraiment nickel comme emplacement .( attention à la côte avant de rentrer , elle est raide , très raide , mais ça fait du bien après des bons repas).
je n’ai pas mis 10 pour deux petites raisons , l’eau chaude sautée de temps en temps et on devait attendre un petit moment avant d’en récupérer , mais on a quand même pu toujours se laver à l’eau chaude donc rien de bien méchant , et juste la literie qui pour ma part n’était pas hyper confortable mais ça allait quand même , on est pas sur une planche non plus , rassurez vous .

Plastic tea kettle - come on :-) That steep climb on the last stretch will be for fit people. Instant hot water heater was unpredictable, showers were hardly warm. Bedroom is pretty small but we knew it before we booked.

Tinha detergentes para as máquinas, para a alouça, café, sal, pimenta, azeite e vinagre.
A piscina é muito boa com água agradável, talvez com o máximo de 1,50m de altura.
Fica a 5m a pé do centro do Funchal, descendo a rua vamos ter ao famoso Mercado dos Lavradores. No regresso é a subir... umas escadinhas ou uma subida íngreme: bom para fazer exercício!
Cheguei com um pé magoado e um funcionário, um jovem muito simpático emprestou-me as suas canadianas/muletas e havia gelo no congelador!

Es war sehr laut und hellhörig, neben uns hat eine Familie mit ständig schreiendem Baby gewohnt, weswegen wir und viele weitere Nachbarn nicht schlafen konnten. Die Außentüren des Gebäudekomplexes waren sehr schwer, sodass man auch davon aufgewacht ist, wenn eine davon zugefallen ist. Der Aufzug war defekt, der TÜV war schon einige Monate abgelaufen.
Während unseres Aufenthaltes (2 Monate) traten immer wieder Probleme auf: Das Wasser aus dem Pool wurde für längere Zeit wegen Problemen mit der Pumpe abgelassen. Insgesamt war dieser, wenn Wasser drin war, meist voller Blätter und toter Fliegen. In den ersten Tagen hatten wir kein warmes Wasser zum duschen, der Backofen wurde nicht richtig warm und die Toilette hat nicht mehr von selbst aufgehört zu spülen. Auf Nachfrage kam nach einigen Tagen jemand vorbei, danach hatten wir warmes Wasser und konnten den Ofen bedienen.
Ein mal pro Woche wurde die Wohnung geputzt, dafür bekamen wir eine Nachricht mit einem 5 Stunden Zeitfenster, während dem wir im Idealfall nicht in der Wohnung sein sollten. Leider war die Reinigung nicht sehr gründlich, alles wurde nur oberflächlich abgewischt. Für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt kein Problem, doch innerhalb der 2 Monate hätten wir uns insbesondere im Bad eine gründlichere Reinigung gewünscht. Laut Inserat sollten Verbrauchsartikel nachgefüllt werden - Das war allerdings nicht der Fall.
Insgesamt war der Kundenservice zwar bemüht, brauchte aber recht lange zum antworten. So hatten wir z.B. mehrfach um andere Kissen gebeten, da eines davon super riesig war und wir ständig Nackenschmerzen hatten. Nach der Zusage, die Kissen auszutauschen, hat es noch zwei Wochen gedauert bis die Kissen getauscht wurden.
Obwohl uns Wohnung und Lage prinzipiell gefallen haben, hat für uns hat das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht gestimmt. Verglichen mit der Wohnung die wir in Funchal vorher hatten und der Wohnung unserer Nachbarn, die 3 mal so groß war und nur halb so viel kostet, war die Unterkunft wirklich zu teuer. Die vielen kleinen Ärgernisse haben sich summiert, sodass wir die Wohnung (zumindest für längere Aufenthalte) leider nicht weiter empfehlen können.

A very quite and safe area, in the same time super close to the Funchal cafe&bars area, as well as to the harbor / walking distance!
We felt there as in our own home - all utensils to our use, cute little balcony for breakfasts & dinners with a pool view :)
Our IslandApart contact person was super responsive, kind and helpful.
We could count on him with no issue - everything was explained very well & we were well taken care of.
Garage included makes it all easy - it's better to rent a car if you wish to really see everything that Madeira has in store for adventure lovers.
To sum up: We recommend IslandApart very much, and this place even more :)

Ein paar Dinge waren leider schon etwas kaputt und am Anfang hatten wir Probleme mit dem warmen Wasser, hierauf wurde allerdings schnell geantwortet und auch Hilfe geschickt. Ein Staubsauger wäre auch hilfreich gewesen. Die Waschmaschine war sehr praktisch. Mit den Mücken muss man sich arrangieren ;)
Während unseres Aufenthalts wurde auch einmal sauber gemacht, hierüber wurden wir vorher nicht informiert. Nach der ersten Schrecksekunde haben wir uns aber über die Sauberkeit und neuen Handtücher gefreut.

Die Wohnung hat einen, wie wir finden, sehr guten Standort und es war relativ leise.
Was uns gestört hat war, das die beiden Stühle auf dem Balkon, insofern kaputt waren, das die Sitzflächen nicht mehr gehalten haben und die Stühle hin und wieder zusammen gebrochen sind.
Der Fußboden/Laminat kam an einigen Stellen hoch, sodass man barfuß aufpassen musste, sich nicht zu verletzen.
An der Balkon Schiebetür hat es sehr geschliffen und das öffnen der Tür erschwert.
Leider gab es keinen Staubsauger, das man mal den Sand vom Strand oder Staub hätte wegmachen können.
Es wurde aber nach einer Woche einmal vom Anbieter während unserer Abwesenheit und unserem Wissen gereinigt (eine Info das jemand das Appartement während unserer Abwesenheit betritt wäre wünschenswert gewesen).
Ein von zwei Sichtrollos war demontiert und ein von zwei Verdunkelungsrollos hing nur noch an einer Schraube.
Aber man sagte uns das diese Dinge nach unserem Aufenthalt Instand gesetzt werden.
All in all ist das Appartement o.k., aber an der einen oder anderen Stelle verbesserungsfähig.

Cats were not a problem as long as you remember to close terrace doors.
The bedroom could get stuffy because was small but we felt it only once when door and windows were closed.

Kitchen fully equipped. Sofa bed in the living room could be used as an extra bed. There’s a swimming pool and sun beds on the estate. Very quiet and friendly neighbourhood.

Future travellers should be realistic, though, that this comes with a bit of a trade-off. It’s a well worn rental, and it’s clear the photos aren’t recent. But if you manage your expectations, and accept that you’re not going to find an A1 space when you arrive, you’ll be fine with it.

there is a lot of cats walking around and if you are not careful they come into the apartment. it was noisy at the times, since the apartment is next to the entrance.. you could even hear the neighbors upstairs. Still I think it was very good value for the money.Pool is quite small

Apartment block 3 J. The shower (awful), the bed was comfy but difficult to get in and out, no air conditioning- just 2 fans which are ok at this time of year but not in height of summer. Ground floor so could not leave doors or windows open as lots of cats about. Really steep access to property- I know this has been mentioned but it would be a big issue for anyone who is not fully fit. Tour companies cannot get to property for pick up, have to make way down steep hill to main road on foot ( and back up again!)

O condomínio é ótimo e sossegado, tem estacionamento para 1 lugar.

L'appartement est particulièrement bien équipé (lave linge, lave-vaisselle..).
