The apartment is spacious and has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The living room is large and filled with excellent natural light, thanks to its south orientation, offering a great sea view from the balcony. The property is ten minutes by car from the airport and Funchal—a real advantage for those who want to be close to the city and near the east side of the island. With a maximum capacity of six people, the apartment is fully equipped with all amenities. The property has a private parking place. THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW The Garajau area offers many restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. A beach can be reached within a five-minute walk, and there is a small trail for your morning walks, right next to the Cristo-Rei monument. Renting a car at the airport may be a good option to discover the island at your own pace. You can also choose to relax in Garajau and walk through its residential streets, go to the beach, or read a book in your private garden—these are just a few of the privileges of staying in this area. GETTING AROUND The private transfer service is the best option to get to the flat. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi on your own at the airport! GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the flat. OTHER OBSERVATIONS - According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID (e.g., passport, identity card). - Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior to arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team. - All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair, and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher, and fire blanket are available in all properties. ATTENTION A Municipal Tourist Ecotax will be charged for each person staying overnight in the municipality of Santa Cruz. All guests staying in tourist developments and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights stay (€14 per person). Close to your arrival, you will receive the link to pay this fee. HOUSE RULES To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, we ask that you observe a few simple rules. • Smoking is not permitted inside the property. • Parties or events are not permitted. • We ask that you be considerate of the neighbours and keep noise levels down, especially at night. The property may be equipped with a smart sensor (Minut) that monitors noise, smoke, and temperature levels, solely for safety reasons. This system does not record conversations or collect personal data. Should abnormal levels be detected, you may receive a message from our team asking you to check the situation. In accordance with Portuguese law, all guests must present valid identification for registration. A municipal tourist tax may be charged (€2 per person per night, up to a maximum of 7 nights). Check-in: from 4 pm. Early check-in is subject to availability and payment of a fee. Check-out: by 12:00. Late check-out is subject to availability and payment of a fee.
