Apartment/studio with double bed, dining area and living area, balcony with sea view and communal pool. Accommodation located in an area with easy pedestrian access to beaches, services and Funchal city center.
Comfortable apartment/studio, ideal for a city vacation by the sea.
This accommodation is open space, meaning that all the areas are common to the same space and are functionally distributed and equipped. With a double bed, a complete bathroom, a kitchenette, a dining area and a living area with cable TV, this studio can accommodate up to 2 adults.
The living room gives access to a small balcony, with an inviting seating area for a moment of leisure, where you can contemplate the sea and the sky on sunny days, while enjoying a coffee and/or a good wine.
In this calm and sunny building there is a swimming pool available, shared by the condominium, where you can take advantage of the good weather to go for a swim. There is also a bar and a small grocery store.
Wi-Fi is available in all areas.
The property has free parking, in a lot reserved for residents, subject to availability.
AREA
The property is located in Rua da Quinta da Calaça, one of Funchal's tourist areas and within easy reach of the available beaches (paid and free) along the Promenade. This is a privileged area as it is close to the Forum Madeira shopping centre, paddle tennis courts, gardens, restaurants, bars/cafes, shops and other essential services and is a 7 minute drive from the centre of Funchal or 30 minutes on foot. It is also very close to the town of Câmara de Lobos where you can take the opportunity to explore some touristic attractions and taste the famous regional "poncha".
In Funchal city centre there are several touristic points of interest and information about cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities, whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the apartment.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

After that, guests may cancel up to 5 days prior to check-in and receive a refund of the price per night and the cleaning fee, but not of the service fee.

Quand on arrive l’immeuble est assez impressionnant à l’intérieur, l’ascenseur, digne d’un film d’horreur…
Sinon l’intérieur de l’appartement est relativement semblable aux photos !
Le point positif : la vue ! Aussi incroyable que sur les photos si ce n’est mieux !

Je ne recommande pas forcément ce logement si vous avez un enfant en bas âge : pas de Clim et il y fait très chaud l’été, pas de rideaux occultants/volets.

We can only point out that this spot is inflexible with their cancellation policies. We ended up paying more than half of the stay without being there. So have this in mind if you book with them!

The apartment itself was a bit tricky to initially find due to our inexperience of navigating the narrow streets. Check in was fine, with easy to follow instructions.
The apartment is clean and has all the amenities advertised so there are no complaints in this regard.
The main drawback was the parking which was very very very limited - we paid the €50 deposit for the keypass but never used the onsite parking once. It was easily solvable by paying to park in a nearby multi story (check opening times, €6.50 for 24 hours).
Also, the toilet flush broke during our stay and wasn’t fixed for 36 hours which was inconvenient. You can also hear music from nearby hotels into late evening, so pack some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper! Overall good apartment and we loved our time in Madeira.

Das Apartment befindet sich im 11. Stock eines ehemaligen Hotels, das Gebäude an sich ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es gibt einen Aufzug, dieser ist jedoch ohne Innentüren, weshalb man kein Problem mit Enge oder Aufzügen haben sollte ;)
Die Unterkunft bietet zwar einen Zugang zum privaten Parkplatz an, allerdings ist dieser fast immer belegt, weshalb man sich darauf einstellen sollte, in der näheren Umgebung zu parken.
Uns ist es zunächst etwas schwer gefallen, die Wohnung im Gebäude zu finden. Eine Beschilderung oder ein Hinweis auf das Stockwerk wären hilfreich gewesen.
Das Team war gut erreichbar und stets hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ist es eine nette kleine Unterkunft, der Preis jedoch etwas happig für das tatsächliche Angebot.

Die Kommunikation war super und echt schnell, bei Problemen kam noch am selben Tag jemand vom Service vorbei.
Die Dusche ist leider nicht die Beste, wir haben die Gastgeber darüber informiert und eine notdürftige Lösung erhalten (sie sollte unserer Meinung nach künftig aber komplett ausgetauscht werden).
Bei unserer Ankunft war die Unterkunft leider noch nicht fertig gereinigt und nachdem wir später wieder kamen, haben wir immer noch etwas Dreck hinter den Türen vorgefunden, könnte also durchaus etwas sauberer sein. Das lag aber vielleicht auch an der Eile der Reiningungskräfte, weil wir schon da waren und sie etwas im Stress waren. Ansonsten aber sehr sauber und eine tolle Unterkunft für einige Tage in Funchal - die Unterkunft liegt aber nicht ganz im Zentrum, sondern etwas außerhalb. Der Meerblick ist fantastisch und wir würden die Unterkunft trotzdem immer weiter empfehlen.

Leiligheten var litt eldre og dårligere tilstand enn det så ut som på bildene, men det er ikke et problem. Leiligheten ligger og i 11. etage noe som er greit å vite!
Syns renhold kunne vært bedre, og vi lagde ikke noe mat, da det ble litt for enkelt kjøkken med lite utstyr (simpelt). Ellers så var området 10/10 og verten svarte raskt når vi tok kontakt! Super enkelt og greit. Vi leide også bil og fikk parkeringskort og tilgang til parkering alle 5 dagene vi hadde bil:)
