Modern 1 bedroom apartment, well decorated and with excellent sun exposure, located in the heart of the city of Funchal. Building in a very close location to the La Vie Shopping Centre, the Port of Funchal and Municipal Theatre.
With a simple and contemporary decoration, designed for the comfort and well-being of guests, this apartment gathers all the facilities to enjoy a beautiful holiday in Madeira Island, in a work or leisure context.
The apartment includes a living area, a TV with cable channels, a well-equipped kitchen in open space, with a dining area. The bedroom has a double bed and a private bathroom inside, with a shower cubicle.
This property can accommodate two adults and one child (maximum), as it has a sofa bed in the living room.
The building has a common entrance and is located on Rua da Alegria, one of the arteries close to La Vie Shopping Centre.

AREA
Building located in the Funchal city center. From this building you will be able to know all the downtown and main points of interest. It is situated right next to restaurants, shopping centres, bars, museums, the Cathedral of Funchal, Funchal Municipal Garden, Funchal Marina and Municipal Theatre.
In the city center there is plenty of information about all kinds of activities you can do during your holidays: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.

You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer any questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. If the reservation is made less than 14 days before check-in, the cancellation is free up to 48 hours after the reservation, up to a maximum of 5 days before check-in.
After that, guests may cancel up to 5 days prior to check-in and receive a refund of the price per night and the cleaning fee, but not of the service fee.

Die Wohnung war sauber und hatte alles was man für eine Woche brauchte, es gibt sogar eine Waschmaschine und die Möglichkeit seine Wäsche zu trocknen. Das habe ich allerdings nicht benötigt. Der Check in funktioniert über eine eigene Website und hier ist alles super einfach und verständlich erklärt.
Für einen Aufenthalt in Funchal direkt würde ich wiederkommen

There were a number of small things that added up to a not fully comfortable stay. These included a loosened/broken toilet seat, a bathroom faucet that was too big for the sink, a shower head that would fit the holder (you have to hold the shower in your hand) and a very dirty carpet in the living room. Also note that there’s no AC and the inside temperatures get high in the summer months.

The only negative was the space wasn’t cleaned from the last guests when I arrived, so I had to leave for another hour and a half until it was cleaned for me. However, the host was very responsive, and granted me an extra hour on my checkout time to compensate for the inconvenience.
Note that the wifi does not reach the bedroom. I feel that the space would be perfect with a full-length mirror somewhere (the only mirror is above the sink in the bathroom), and a shower door or shower curtain (the shower is open, and the bathroom floor gets very wet as a result.
That being said, it was a lovely space to land for a few days, it was secure and comfortable. Would stay again.

Le logement est très bien situé dans un quartier très calme, près d'un centre commercial et non loin du centre ville. De nombreux atouts donc. L'immeuble lui-même semble neuf: la façade, la cage d'escalier etc. Tout est beau est propre. Concernant l'équipe qui gère ce logement, si vous avez une demande ou la moindre difficulté, ils sont extrêmement réactifs. Merci à An island appart. A très bientôt j'espère. Je recommande fortement !! ++++++
