Ideal apartment for couples or small families in the city centre and close to several places of interest in Funchal.

Being in the city center is a privilege. Having the freedom to leave home and get to the various points of interest without much effort is ideal for those who like to get to know the city on foot.
This pleasant city apartment, located on one of the city's main arteries, is close to the main accesses to the highway that connects the east, west and north of the island, as well as the streets that give access to the city center.
Simply decorated, practical and functional, the apartment has a living room with a sofa bed, dining table and natural light. The bedroom has a queen-size bed. The bathroom has a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook your own meals.
The property has air conditioning and can accommodate a maximum of four people.
If you want to rent a car, you can park for free in the building's garage.

AREA
This apartment is located in a privileged central area, right in the heart of the city of Funchal. 10 minutes walk from the Mercado dos Lavradores and the Old Town of Funchal, from here you can explore the various tourist attractions of our beautiful city (e.g. Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Cathedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)
In addition to these amenities, close to the house (10 minutes walk) there is the 'La Vie' shopping centre with several shops, cafés, restaurants and a medium-sized supermarket.

GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address. You can park in the garage of the building.
There is a bus stop right in front of the building, so public transport is an option.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.

INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Ótima localização com restaurantes, bares, teleférico tudo próximo ao apartamento. Silencioso à noite. Tivemos uma excelente estadia em Funchal. A máquina de lavar foi essencial pois fizemos trilhas e pudemos lavar e secar no mesmo dia. Recomendo.

Great location, problems with meet and greet partly due to me for not answering communications but we booked a taxi from the airport through An Island, so they knew when we were arriving and should have been there to meet us. This would have alleviated problems with the door lock which wasn’t great. When I questioned this with An Island the reply of YOU’LL GET USED TO IT was extremely poor.

The apartment has an excellent location, overlooking the ocean and close to downtown. The nights were quiet and the bed was comfortable. Everything was provided to have a good time in Madeira. Communication was excellent. I would recommend the taxi to everyone, the airport bus is 6.40€/person and the taxi was 25€ to take us to the accommodation. Thanks to "An Island" for the great accommodation.

finding the flat was no issue at all.the host was helpful and welcomi g unfortunately from the start getting into the appartment proved tricky untill we figured the technique to open the door it wasnt simply turn the key to unlock and push. you have to turn the key then pull then push.
The fire alarm in the complex sounded numerous times throughout the stay one time at 0030 in the morning. this went on for a good 30 minutes.
the view from the flat window is fairly accurate. you can see the church and the sea but unfortunately look down and theres a lovely derelict building full of rubbish. The flat however was lovely and all the things you need were there although a jug would have been nice but thats only minor.

Fin og sentral leilighet. Litt vanskelig å finne leiligheten, da vi ble sendt videre til en nettside der leilighetsnummeret sto, noe vi ikke helt skjønte med en gang. De prøvde også å kreve inn mer betaling av skatter etter vi hadde sjekket inn, noe som ikke er lov. Mangler også et håndkle når vi ankom, men vi sendte melding og det ordnet de fort. Alt i alt en veldig fin leilighet, og veldig greit med parkeringskjeller. Vil anbefale.

L’emplacement de l’appartement est idéal, à 5 minutes du centre ville de Funchal. Le parking souterrain inclu dans le tarif du logement est un réel avantage. Néanmoins, nous avons été très insatisfait de l’entretien de l’appartement. Celui-ci n’était pas très propre à notre arrivée et le linge de maison présentaient des tâches apparentes (draps et coussins). Par ailleurs, une odeur nauséabonde provenant de l’évier de la cuisine était très désagréable.
C’est un bon logement mais qui mérite un entretien beaucoup plus minutieux.

Ein super Standort um von dort aus Funchal zu erkunden. Auch der Platz in der Tiefgarage ist super. Wir haben uns auch in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist die Sauberkeit. Die Couch hatte Flecken und auch das Bett und das Bad waren nicht sehr sauber.

L'appartamento di trova in posizione ideale per visitare Madeira. A pochi passi dal centro di Funchal, ma anche vicino all' autostrada e ad un grosso supermercato. La possibilità di parcheggiare l'auto nel garage è un ottimo plus. Abbiamo apprezzato molto il cambio lenzuola e biancheria a metà soggiorno.
Ideale per una coppia o max 3 persone. Noi eravamo in 3. Il divano letto è grande a sufficienza per un terzo adulto.

Das Airbnb ist sehr zentral gelegen.
Die Tiefgarage ist sehr praktisch für die Unterbringung des Autos. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war auch seh einfach.
Einige Kleinigkeiten könnten etwas optimiert werden im Zimmer aber alles in allem ist es ein sehr gutes Airbnb.

heerlijk plekje om te verblijven. Wij kwamen snachts aan en de host wachtte ons op beneden bij de deur, heel vriendelijk en meedenkend.
verder ben je zo de stad in en er zit een supermarkt op 5 min lopen.
het beddengoed werd halverwege de week verschoond, daar kregen we ook netjes een berichtje over.
Echter was de afzuigkap niet aangesloten. Deze werkte wel, maar zoog de rook alleen in het keukenkastje er boven.

Apartament w dobrej lokalizacji w nowoczesnym budynku. Dobrze wyposażony aneks kuchenny. Łóżko jak i kanapa duże i wygodne. Zasłony zacieniające i szczelne chorniące nie tylko przez słońcem ale również ewentualnymi komarami. Ogromny plus za parking w podziemiu.
Nie bardzo wiem po co jest ich system w którym robi się całą odprawę przed przyjazdem, wysyłają wszelakie kody, hasła itp. skoro i tak po przylocie są ceregiele z tzw. osobą witającą. Zaraz po zalogowaniu do sieci komórkowej miliony spraw i kiedy będziesz... kiedy będziesz. Jedziesz po obcym kraju, wynajętym samochodem i ciągle coś.

Niestety apartament nie został nawet odkurzony, wszędzie było pełno piachu. Sytuację uratował znajdujący się w szafie odkurzacz. Dywany również poplamione.
Niestety poszewki na poduszki były nieświeże i używane. Były na nich włosy zapewne poprzednich gości. Kołdra, prześcieradło ok. Tutaj sytuację uratowały poduszki znajdujące się w szafie które pachniały świeżością i były czyste.
Osoba przekazująca apartament obiecała iż w następny dzień rano ktoś doniesie nam proszek do prania. Nikt nie pojawił się przez tydzień a osoba do kontaktu na WhatsApp już nam nie odpisała do końca pobytu.
Zawiódł personel sprzątający, osoba witająca zapadła się pod ziemię, dobrze że chociaż na czacie odpowiadali.
Mimo, że pobyt uważamy za udany to spory niesmak pozostał.

Nice apartament near Funchal old town. It had a great view out the window and the parking was very convenient! On the downside, the mattress wasn't very comfortable and the ironing board cover could use some refreshing, but overall we had a pleasant stay.

Overall, we loved living there. He was not helpful at all. The amenities were pretty good and almost everything looked like the pictures
There were some shortcomings. It was not an easy property to find, we were only given instructions afterward, after searching where the property was. After being told no, I asked in advance if it was possible to check out. Afterward, they offered late check-out until midnight for +20 EUR, which I don't think is fair. I asked the host if he could help me with the suitcase or suggest a place where we could drop it off in town while we still had time to catch our flight, he also could not and would not help. I later found an app where you can drop it off at several places in the city. However, the bathroom was pretty run down, had mold, and the towel racks were coming off and the holy spirit held up the mirror.

Ein wirklich schickes und sauberes Apartment in fußläufiger Entfernung zur Altstadt. Die Ausstattung lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig, es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Praktisch ist auch der Parkplatz in der Parkgarage, welcher sich unter der Wohnung befindet.

Kommunikation war sehr gut und schnell!

L‘appartamento é ok per un paio di giorni.
La posizione é vicino al centro. Comoda perché c’è un parcheggio sotterraneo.
Purtroppo siamo molte deluse per quando riguarda la pulizia. Il pavimento era sporco. Un‘altra cosa che non é scritta e che l‘aria condizionata non funziona. C’è un mini ventilatore che non serve molto.
Sono stati 4 giorni di inferno, l‘appartamento é molto caldo e di notte non si dorme.

Location, very helpful staff
No aircon, in the room, it was way too hot, you couldn't sleep, definitely not worth it for this kind of money, for his price you can get a way better 4-star hotel, Because of the lack of sleep I was tired all the time, this apartment just ruined my holiday. If you coming from the UK relatively cold country to such a hot temp you just can't handle it.
Also the location of the building and address its not really well explained its hard to find, but if you call the staff they are very helpful and they will explain everything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the apartment. Situated in the heart of the city, it's conveniently close to numerous restaurants and charming destinations. The host displayed remarkable responsiveness, and we commend them for providing a single spacious bed instead of two pushed together.

The apartment impressed us with its exceptional cleanliness and comprehensive amenities. Despite a malfunctioning AC, they thoughtfully supplied us with a fan. Having free parking in the city provided by them is a huge help.

In sum, this is an excellent lodging choice, particularly for urban exploration and nearby activities. If a more tranquil retreat is your preference, the mountains are worth considering, although you'll have to contend with barking dogs. Still, compared to that, this option remains remarkably quiet. ☀️🌈

Відпочивали родиною .Приїхали пізно вночі та самостійно не могли потрапити до апартаментів ( двері в будівлю були зачинені через пізній час). Зв'язалися з представником апартаментів, який під'їхав та допоміг із заселенням .Дуже приємний юнак.
Приємний бонус - безкоштовне паркування у підземному паркінгу з власним місцем.
В перший день зламався кондиціонер, який так і не був відремонтований.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It’s a nice, well equipped apartment with a great view, the included parking spot is great, too. Walking time to the main part of the city is 5-10min. The only down side was that the AC wasn’t working, we had fans instead (to be fair, it was advertised as having only fans), but it got pretty hot inside and there was a lot of noise from the construction next door if the windows were open. So - if the ac is fixed we’d definitely stay again!

Die Unterkunft war genau diese, die man auf den Fotos sah. Verschiedene Geräte (Waschmaschine, Toaster ecc.) waren vorhanden. Sogar Olivenöl, Essig, Pfeffer und Salz.
Das Bad war af dem ersten Blick sauber. Auf dem zweiten jedoch merkte man das eine Grundreinigung (deep clean) nötig wäre.

Size of the unit and layout. Laundry was great.
Getting the keys, and learning where the location was very hard.
Then learning how the elevator pass was supposed to work was confusing. Once you get to the doors, you have to spend a lot of time jiggling the keys for it to work.

Other thing was the free complementary parking didn't actually work for us and we got scammed by the attendant at the parking. Make sure you do not take the little plastic coin when they say you forgot it. The host needs to make sure the card needs to actually work.

Air conditioning didn't work or couldn't figure it out.

We very much enjoyed our 7 night stay in the apartment. Nice and clean. Lovely view from the window over to the sea. Well equipped with kitchen items for cooking, a nice find of a coffee maker and washing machine, airer, pegs etc. Extra bedding and blankets available. Small kitchen surface area for preparing food but no problem if just on holiday.

Good location close to the Centre of Funchal but a good 15 mins walk uphill on the way home from the old town in the evening! Parking space used by us was great and secure.

Air conditioning newly installed just before our visit. It did breakdown soon after but was fixed fairly quickly and worked well. Some problems with having the apartment ready on time for us but staff kept us informed and we’re kind and helpful.

Fantastic space.
All amenities you could ever need were provided for.
The cleanest AirBnB I have ever stayed in. That deep cleanliness, knowing that even the pillows themselves were clean under the case.

I would say this place is more to sleep / wash etc than a hang out space (if more than 2 people). Just because of the size and layout. But this was perfect for us because it’s exactly what we needed since we were out and about all day.
Supermarket / shops all around, 10 minutes away max to main shopping / coffee hubs.

Would highly recommend. The hosts were fantastic too- even when we had a slight issue in the evening they picked up straight away and resolved it.

Really had a great time in Funchal! Our host Fabio even sent us a list of recommendations for bars and restaurants. Perfectly located just a few minutes away from the Centre and the marina. Only Wi-Fi download connection was a bit weak (needed to work the first two days).

En septembre-octobre 2022 nous avons passé quatre semaines dans cet appartement.
Nous avons apprécié sa situation proche du centre-ville et la qualité de ses équipements.
L'appartement fait partie d'une édifice de récente date et cela se voit dans l'intérieur bien soigné.
Malgré notre arrivée tardive à 01h30 un représentant du propriétaire est venu nous accueillir.

Ci è stato indicato - e lo abbiamo scelto - su una mappa da cui sembrava in posizione più centrale. Quando siamo arrivati in Rua do 5 Outubro al n.86 - con i bagagli - abbiamo scoperto che è invece all'87 (abbiamo dovuto telefonare e ce li siamo trascinati quindi a mano...), e che per ottenere la chiave c'è una specie di cassafortina a combinazione nascosta in penombra se la luce automatica del piano non funziona e infatti sia all'arrivo che per altre due o tre volte così è stato. Non c'è il bidè nonostante ci sia lo spazio per metterne due, bisogna stare con la porta-finestra aperta SEMPRE per poter respirare; quando ci sarebbe servita abbiamo scoperto la mancanza della tessera del parcheggio (ma era notte...) ; per fare la spesa è scomodo, molto scomodo sia al supermercato Pingo Doce che ad un minimarket più vicino ma insufficiente, quindi ogni volta taxi. Il divano presenta tracce di pedate inutilmente smacchiate e così una delle sedie. Il collegamento wi-fi c'è, ma a volte: a volte c'è e spesso no, tanto che ho dovuto spessissimo ricorrere al mio collegamento personale a pagamento. Probabilmente è un problema di NEO ma, visto che ero lì anche per lavorare, non avrei certo scelto questo appartamento se avessi avuto prima tutte le informazioni su quanto sopra descritto. Per tutto il resto buono

De verhuur ging via een bedrijfje. Het appartement en parkeergarage waren best lastig te vinden in het grote complex aan een drukke doorgaande weg in Funchal. Er waren wat problemen met de parkeergarage: we hadden wel een gereserveerde plek, maar een parkeerkaart was niet aanwezig en we moesten daarom steeds betalen in de parkeergarage. Later, na er om gevraagd te hebben, ontvingen we een parkeerkaart. Het appartement was klein, maar netjes en modern ingericht. De led-verlichting was wel heel erg fel en kil. Het bed was comfortabel, maar de slaapbank erg krap voor twee kinderen en zeker volwassenen. Vanuit het appartementencomplex ben je binnen tien minuten lopen in het centrum van Funchal. Het uitzicht is over de stad.

Wij hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad in het appartement. De locatie is echt perfect en centraal in Funchal (alles op loopafstand van max 30 minuten)! Het appartement heeft een privé parkeerplaats in de bijbehorende parkeergarage wat ook ontzettend fijn is. De communicatie verloopt voornamelijk via email en je wordt via die weg goed geïnformeerd, maar de persoonlijke communicatie verloopt wel wat stroef. Wij verbleven totaal 10 dagen in het appartement en kregen zelfs een tussentijdse schoonmaak wat erg prettig was (schone handdoeken en beddengoed). Het appartement ziet er in werkelijkheid ook zo uit als op de foto's. Het uitzicht is inderdaad op zee, maar helaas ook op een bouwval. Het appartement heeft geen airco, wat denk ik wel erg fijn is gedurende de zomer maanden want het was nu soms al erg warm. Al met al waren wij erg tevreden en de prijs kwaliteit is echt goed in orde!

Wir waren 12 Tage in dem Apartment und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Transfer vom Flughafen wurde von An Island sehr gut organisiert!
In der Wohnung ist alles relativ neuwertig und modern eingerichtet,
genau so wie auf den Fotos zu sehen.
Man hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht auf den Hafen,
wenn man die Bauruinen links und rechts ausblendet.
Es ist alles Nötige vorhanden was man braucht um sich selbst zu versorgen,
die Küche ist zwar etwas klein, aber mit etwas Übung kommt man gut klar.
Das Apartement ist sehr zentral gelegen, in 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuss an der Kathedrale. Geschäfte zum Einkaufen sind im Überfluss in der Nähe vorhanden.
Der Lage geschuldet, hört man aber auch den Straßenlärm bei offenem Fenster,
wenn man das Fenster schliesst ist es aber nicht so schlimm!
Was um diese Jahreszeit ja kein Problem ist, in der wärmeren Jahreszeit wird es sicher sehr warm im Zimmer da es keine Klimaanlage gibt.
Die Betten sind etwas hart und nur 1,60 breit!
Wir können das Apartement auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

L'alloggio era come descritto. Posizione comodissima, praticamente nel centro di Funchal.
Avere il parcheggio privato è stato essenziale, vista la difficoltà dei parcheggi a Funchal.
Casa con tutte le comodità, inclusa la lavasciuga. Davvero raccomandatissimo!

Superb location, great standard of appliances, well equipped and generally very clean apart from the sofa which was stained and a bit dirty. Free parking onsite. Overall definitely recommend.

The apartament is great and its location is good as well.
The only thing is that it doesnt have AC, so the apartament was super hot (made it unconfortable to sleep).

Room too hot in summer time. No air conditioned, only a small fan. Had to keep windows open during day and night and unfortunately had constantly smoking neighbors which made the experience very bad.

Wonderful appartment in the in the middle of Old Town and Funchal center.

The apartment was like on photos and even better.
We had there everything we need for our 5 month stay. For couple or one person - perfect small and cozy flat

The apartment is very new and clean, we had everything that we needed for our stay. It's very well located and even has a view to the ocean. The communication with the staff and the check in/out process was easy.
