With a classic and thoughtful design, it has a garden and is close to the beach.This property is perfect for family vacations.

This villa is a real hidden gem. Located near the well-known tourist area of the Lido, is ideal for families who want to make small city walks, go to the beach with access to the sea and enjoy a good rest very close to the city center of Funchal.

With a classic decoration, where the details and wood finishings give it style and comfort, as well as reminders of pieces from the past, giving this museum atmosphere that tells stories of moments, pieces or memories from an era.
The interior of the house consists of three bedrooms, two with single beds and one with a double bed; a spacious and fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own; a spacious living room.
Outside you will find a nice and pleasant garden, which you should "use and abuse" during your stay. Here you can have your meals outdoors surrounded by greenery and fresh air. This space is perfect for children, who can have fun and create new adventures.

The property has a maximum capacity for six people, and parking is available.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA
Situated in one of the most prestigious tourist areas of Funchal, this property is close to a pleasant promenade, beaches, supermarkets, pharmacies, stores and the Forum Madeira shopping center, which has several international brands and movie theaters.

Near the property there are two bathing complexes (Lido and Pota Gorda) with swimming pool and sea access.
Nearby there are several bars and restaurants where you can delight yourself with our gastronomy or with international cuisine. Besides the closest options, you can also go to Funchal city center (five minutes by car) where you will find a larger variety of restaurants.
Praia Formosa beach is about three kilometers away from the apartment, perfect for swimming and sunbathing on the pebble and black sand.

TRANSPORT
For departures and arrivals from the airport, there is an aerobus stop about 2 minutes from the house. For departures and arrivals from the airport, the best option to reach the apartment will be a transfer. Ask us to arrange one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the cabs you find at the airport!

Guests have access to all areas of the apartment.

OTHER REMARKS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid identification document (e.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not booked within a maximum of 48 hours, guests will be subject to our staff's availability.
- All bed linens and towels are provided. We can also place a crib, high chair, and baby bathtub if needed. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and fire blanket at all properties.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. Une magnifique maison, spacieuse, très propre et très agréable à vivre.
Elle est à la fois dans un endroit vivant et tout à fait au calme.
Elle est bien placée pour visiter l’île, et même pour aller dans le centre ville de Funchal.
Peu de soleil dans le joli jardin à cette période hivernale, mais néanmoins, nous avons pu prendre le petit déjeuner dehors chaque jour !
C’était magnifique séjour que je recommande tout particulièrement.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem Haus. Es sieht exakt so aus wie auf den Fotos. Der Garten ist ein Traum: Kaffee, Bananen, Orchideen, hier gibt es Alles.
Die Kommunikation war super unkompliziert.
Es wurde sogar einmal die Bettwäsche gewaschen und der Garten gefegt.
Einziges Manko: die Betten sind zwei nebeneinander gestellte Einzelbetten: als Paar ungünstig. Dies wurde bemängelt und soll behoben werden.

Wir haben die Ferienwohnung gebucht, nachdem unser Rückflug wegen Sturm gecancelt wurde und wir erst 9 Tage später zurück fliegen konnten. Das Haus ist sehr schön mit tollem Garten. Man kann gut kochen, es hat eine Waschmaschine, Supermarkt und Restaurants sind zu Fuß schnell erreicht, ebenso ein schönes Schwimmbad. Es liegt in einer Gegend mit sehr vielen großen Hotels, dank des Gartens hat man trotzdem viel Privatsphäre. Die Einfahrt ist allerdings super eng, nicht so leicht hinein zu fahren.

My wife and I had a great stay here with our two young children. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It was also overall quiet (other than a friendly but somewhat noisy dog next door) and secluded despite being in the middle of Lido. There is a nice view of the water from the backyard and upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. Lots of great restaurants and a supermarket within easy walking distance. The Lido Bathing Complex is nearby as well. There is public transport available, although sometimes the buses to and from Lido to downtown Funchal were crowded. As other reviews have stated, the driveway is somewhat narrow and challenging to turn out of, due to a tree right at the end. If you rent a car, you can probably manage with an SUV, but I would insist on a smaller car if they try to "upgrade" you. Not just for the driveway but for the roads in general around Madeira. All in all, this was a wonderful place, we highly recommend it!

Dom był przepiękny, z klimatem, dużymi i przestronnymi pomieszczeniami. Co ważne, nawet w upały było w nim przyjemnie chłodno, nawet bez klimatyzacji. Łazienka na parterze może wymagać remontu (prysznic). Elementy zewnętrzne do ewentualnej interwencji to pies sąsiadów ujadający przy każdym poruszeniu i hałas dochodzący z hotelowych klimatyzatorów. Wjazd na posesję większym samochodem wymaga dużych umiejętności (przed wjazdem rośnie drzewo), o czym warto uprzedzić gości z wyprzedzeniem. Podsumowując, super miejsce warte polecenia na przyszłość.

Unsere erste Unterkunft lag in der Nähe von Canhas. Sehr feuchtes Haus mit unangenehmen Geruch. Nach einer Nacht zogen wir gegen einen Aufpreis in die Casa do Lido. Leider entsprach das Haus nicht den Fotos. Sehr veraltet, abgewetztes Sofa, Fenster schließen nicht richtig, viele Spinnenweben, verdreckte Böden, keine scharfen Messer in der Küche, Bäder überholungsbedürftig! Das Haus hat einen sehr schönen Garten und eine tolle Lage (auch, wenn die Zufahrt mehr als eng ist!), weshalb wir letztlich in dem Haus geblieben sind. Aber für diesen Preis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt!
Zudem ist der Hund der Nachbarn sehr nervig mit seinem Gebell (wofür An Island Apart natürlich nichts kann!)
Wir haben uns leider in keinem der Häuser wohl gefühlt und werden auch definitiv nicht mehr über diese Agentur buchen.

Excellent location. Beautiful garden but inside the property was not as comfortable as it could have been. We stayed at the end of March and nights were often cold. The beds are uncomfortable and the duvets far too thin. We used the portable heaters provided upstairs but there were non downstairs. The kitchen has basic facilities but needs a makeover and there were ants on the worktop most mornings. Food had to be stored in the fridge or seled in plastic bags. The bathroom is adequate but in need of modernisation. The living and dining areas are comfortable. There was never a signal on the TV.

Really good location lovely large garden in secluded spot. Spacious house but very basic facilities. Beds uncomfortable and thin duvets totally inadequate for cold nights. Heaters required some nights. ANTS in the kitchen especially on worktop so dont leave any kind of food out, even got into cereal
box! Upstairs toilet requires attention. Dog next door barks all the time. Key to front gate problematic. Sorry but too many issues. Overall disappointing. We love Madeira and have been many times but won't be staying in this property when we return

The house is an oasis in Funchal. Open space and really well maintained garden made it somewhere to retreat to after a day exploring Madeira.
Previous comments include the neighbours dog, an Australian sheepdog kept in a small yard. Fortunately quiet at night but entering and leaving the property did result in some boisterous barking.
The location is great, a twenty five minute walk into central Funchal but with plenty of amenities and restaurants very local.

Location is great, in walking distance of many reataurants, and a good supermarket.
Waking up with a direct view on the ocean is great.
Garden is beautiful during the day.
Parking for 2 cars.
Oil, salt, pepper and a cleaning cloth were provided.
I'm being critical because the houe ain't cheap

-The pictures of the inside of the house are much nicer than reality, especially at night. (Not false advertising, just great use of angles)
- All lamps in the house and garden are harsh white, all atmosphere is gone when turning them on. We had to resort to buying a lot of candles to not feel like being in a hospital. Please install warm white lamps and add some more "atmoshperical" lamps.
- The amount of mosquito's, the whole day, inside and outside the house. The owner should install nets above the beds and install anti-mosquito lamps.
- No towel refresh, even after asking for one. One set of towels is not comfortable for a week. Why not provide extra towels? Or at least provide some laundry detergent so we can wash ourselves.
- Cheap beds, the double beds don't stay together, creating a hole between the beds. Maybe tie them thogether or replace them?
- Wooden outside chairs could do with some pillows or get more of the mesh chairs.
- Agressive dog at neighbours barks day/night when you come and go to the house.
- Don't rent a car wider than a Peugeot 308, there is a tree in front of the entrance.
- Internet not super reliable. I think a new modem/router is needed.
- No mirrors in the bedrooms.

In general the house feels like it was purely set up as a cash cow with a goal of being "indistructable". By spending 300 EUR this house could become a cosy place to stay. I hope the owner improves.

Das Objekt liegt von der Straße aus etwas zurückversetzt und ist über ein Einfahrtstor (grünes Gittertor) erreichbar. Für größere Fahrzeuge ist die Zufahrt etwas eng, was ein Hin-und Herrangieren und genaues Augenmaß erforderlich macht. Schräg gegenüber der Einfahrt befindet sich ein großer Supermarkt mit reichhaltigem Angebot an Frischwaren (Fisch, Meeresfrüchte, Obst, Gemüse, Fleisch), zahlreiche Restaurants gibt es in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Das Lido / Schwimmbad mit Meereszugang liegt ebenfalls fußläufig. Das Haus liegt ruhig und der Garten ist wunderbar gepflegt. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich die drei Schlafzimmer, die Matratzen sind sehr gut und sauber. Das Zimmer mit dem kleineren Bett verfügt über einen überdachten Balkon, welcher zum Garten heraus einen indirekten Meerblick hat. An allen Fenstern gibt es Blendläden mit Fliegengitter und zusätzlich sind dichte Vorhänge vorhanden. Für kältere Tage stehen mehrere Heizradiatoren zur Verfügung. Ein Badezimmer ist auf der oberen Etage und das andere kleinere Bad liegt neben dem Treppenaufgang. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und mit reichlich Geschirr und Besteck bestückt. Die Schlüsselübergabe über Kastencode war unproblematisch, die Kontaktaufnahme zum Verwalter ebenfalls. Alle Bilder auf booking.com sind sehr authentisch. Wir würden das Objekt immer wieder buchen und können es sehr empfehlen.

Localiza-se em zona bem servida de comércio e restaurantes, sendo, ainda assim, bastante calma de noite. O estacionamento privado é uma grande mais valia. Great spacious and clean house. The location is perfect. The only drawback is it is very hot at day/night when we visited and unfortunately the windows don’t have screens so you can’t open the windows at night. They do provide fans but an addition of screens would be great. We had 3 sets of couples stay at the house and the coordination of opening the gate was tricky.

Sao Martinho is een stadje waar de hotels in volle opkomst zijn. Het huisje ligt verborgen tussen deze mastodonten, maar weet zijn eigenheid en authenticiteit te bewaren. Wij zaten er heel rustig met ook zicht op zee. De gelegenheid bied ook een aparte toegang voor de woonst en buurthuisjes en je kan er parkeren aan de woonst, allen maar voordeel. Er is voldoende ruimte en alles is voorzien. We hebben genoten van het huisje en de omgeving.
Als je 's avonds binnen gaat zitten is er enkel de plafond verlichting, een lampje hier of daar zou de zitkamer gezelliger verlichten. Voor de rest zijn er geen opmerkingen, het was prima.

Emplacement au cœur de la zone hôtelière de Funchal, proche restaurants et supermarchés (100m), idéal pour rayonner dans l'île. Très belle maison à étage, très bien agencée et équipée, avec un beau jardin, transats , vue mer. Possibilité de garer la voiture dans la cour de la maison. Attention l'allée menant à la maison est très étroite.
Absence lave vaisselle, aspirateur ou balai.
Le chien du voisin qui aboit régulièrement à peine il voit ou entend quelque chose, et actuellement des travaux sur l'hôtel voisin, ont été gênants pour profiter pleinement de la terrasse. Dommage !

The place overall was a prime location. There is a very rambunctious/nosey dog right next door that will bark at any and everything. When I booked, the instructions stated I would receive check-in directions 3 days prior, but those never came. Had to contact host and a code was sent promptly; however, trying to figure out phone numbers and trying to park took an hour for us to get it. The hot water will go really quickly if you’re staying with a few people. Finally, there was no instruction with regard to checkout and the note inside says to leave the keys which is contradictory as you will need the keys to leave. A 0545 flight sent us into a panic at 0400, but we figured it out. Overall, text messaging is very warm and responsive; however, speaking with hosts on the phone is very cold and somewhat off- putting. Again, we enjoyed the home and the stay but there were a few hiccups.

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und der Garten ist sehr schön. Es war alles vorhanden und man konnte auch gut das Essen zuhause zubereiten.
Die Bäder sind eher klein und für Total 6 Personen nicht genügend. Bei kühler Witterung ist es fast unmöglich das Haus mit den Elektroöfen zu heizen.

The house & garden is huge for the Lido area. It’s very well equipped and spacious inside. The location can’t be better with shopping, restaurants and the famous Lido promenade right on your doorstep. The only negative points are that there a loads of mosquitos (definitely buy some citronella candles and repellent for your arms & legs) and dog next door that barks at you every time it sees you, which is impossible to avoid. We did stay in the winter time when there is more rain & moisture around so perhaps there are no mosquitos in the summer. Even with the negative points I would still recommend this place!

Räume sind grosszügig, die beiden Badezimmer eher klein und für max. 4 Personen OK.
Der Garten ist sehr gut gepflegt und entspricht den Bilder im Inserat.
Reparaturen wurden nur zögerlich ausgeführt.
Sonst hat alles sehr gut geklappt und wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

-die Lage ist tagsüber echt idyllisch. Inmitten der großen Hotelketten liegt diese kleine Oase
-Kommunikation mit der zuständigen Hausverwaltung funktioniert absolut problemlos und sehr kurzfristig wird eine Lösung für Anfragen gefunden
-1x in der Woche wird gereinigt und Bettwäsche und Handtücher gewechselt
-Ausstattung ist ausreichend.
-WLAN und TV funktionieren gut
-Parkplatz vorhanden
-Waschraum und Außendusche sind echt praktisch
Am Abend hört man die Animationsmusik der umliegenden Anlagen.
kein Staubsauger vorhanden. Aber der Besen tut es auch ;)

Schönes, geräumiges Haus mit wundervollem Garten. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Handtücher und Bettwäsche sind sauber und kuschelig. WLAN und TV funktioniert problemlos.
Lage ist sehr besonders. In der direkten Nachbarschaft liegen das Hotelviertel Funchals. Überall sind Restaurants und kleine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Am Abend hört man die Animationsmusik der umliegenden Anlagen. Tagsüber ist dieses Haus eine echt Ruheoase inmitten von Palmen und mit einem wundervollen Blick aufs Meer.
Kinderbett und Hochstuhl sind auf Anfrage verfügbar und die Kommunikation mit dem Service ist super!
Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

A beautiful and spacious house with a very traditional feel. The garden is beautiful and the house has sea views. The location was perfect 2 minutes walk to the Lido and large supermarket.

There is a range of good restaurants serving traditional food on the door step. We particularly enjoyed Tiles. It's about at 15 minute stroll into Funchal where there was enough to keep our 13 year and 18 year old entertained.

The only slight issues were that we were eaten alive by mosquitoes whilst sleeping so make sure you pack lots of Mosquito repellent.

We had a fantastic week. Thank you so much for having us.

The house is really spacious and grand and in a fantastic location. The ocean views are really incredible and the garden is filled with beautiful tropical plants. There is a market and a taxi stand very close by as well as a lovely ocean promenade that is very fun to explore and you can walk down a dip in the sea.

It’s lovely to open the windows- but it could be a bit tricky with mosquitoes and flies.

The parking was very narrow! We ended up choosing to park our car in the lot across the street by the grocery store because we were so worried about fitting in the long shared driveway.

The rental agency was a great help and hooked us up with a very affordable car rental as well as a great whale watching trip.

Two things I already mentioned to the rental agency about the house: there is a pretty strong sewage smell particularly in the downstairs bathroom and The neighbors had a very loud dog that barked incessantly at us whenever we were outside or coming and going, sometimes even at night. It made the garden and the peaceful vibe of the house hard to enjoy.

This is the perfect place to stay in Madeira. It is close to everything and great for families. As mentioned, it is tight to bring the car in, but it is manageable with a good driver. I felt at home here and enjoyed sitting in the yard. We also loved the neighbors. They did have a dog that barks a lot, so be aware that it may be noisy at times. I can’t wait to come back!

We had a nice stay and the house is perfect for holidays! The kitchen is well furnished! We were traveling with our baby and we were offered an eating table and a crib. Very good location as well. The only difficult part as mentioned by others was to bring the car in the yard, so good driving skills are needed.

Amazing home! We had space for the family to spread out and relax while we were in the house. We were close enough to walk to the boardwalk or one of many restaurants. If there was something far to go to, there is a taxi stand a block away. The portal that the island apart uses is very easy to use and we took advantage of their airport pickup and drop off, which made for an even more relaxing time. For those doing laundry, it was lovely. For the kitchen, all utensils were as they should be, and the market is close. We ate bananas out of the garden and the gardener even cut some sugar cane from the yard for the children to chew on (thank you!). Kids enjoyed tic tac toe in the sunshine. Plenty of linens provided and house was super clean. As others have said… the second bathroom does smell, we just closed the door and used the main bathroom. So beautiful. Overall a lovely time!

We had a great stay in Funchal. This property is tucked away in an exciting part of the city near many nice attractions within walking distance (Lido public swimming complex / many shops and restaurants nearby). It was very convenient and had a sea view between the condo buildings in front of it. It was wonderful space for our family, a lovely yard and patio for eating outside and the parking space was super helpful. A small note is that the neighborhood is lively at night and was a little loud on a Saturday night for our kids sleeping.

The house was our little paradise! More than enough for our family of four and our kids loved the garden with an outstanding view and beautiful plants and flowers! We were provided both with a high chair and a crib for our 10month old baby, which made our life much easier. Location was also perfect, close to a park, big supermarket and restaurants. Well equipped, comfortable beds, two bathrooms with shower and big kitchen. Very fast and helpful communication with the host.
A bit noisy in the evenings due to the surroundings, but tranquil during night and daytime.

A nicely designed property in a great location. The space was more than enough for our family of four and it was lovely to have a garden to enjoy as the sun goes down. The location is ideal, being very close to the lido, a large supermarket, bus tours and taxis. There are several nice bars and restaurants in the area too, although we often got a taxi to the old town. It is surprisingly quiet at night, as the house is set back from the main roads.

Great location! You can't beat being so close to restaurants, city center, stores and the ocean.
The house was much bigger than it appeared in the photos and had plenty of room for our group.
The bathrooms are a little smaller than we are accustomed to traveling from the US but overall good.
The yard is beautiful with so many plants and a view of the ocean.

This is a lovely antique-looking villa, located close to the ocean, the promenade, shops, restaurants and taxi stop. The villa is equipped with everything necessary for a long stay - kitchenware, an iron, and a washing machine. The yard is blooming with flowers. You might spend the evenings with your loved ones in the patio or in a spacious living room. The WiFi is good, we never had any problems. Everyone was very friendly and willing to assist in any questions.

Absolutely beautiful house and garden in perfect location. Property was fully equipped and in excellent clean and tidy condition on arrival. Staff were very helpful and attentive when contacted. Couldn’t recommend this house more, the price was so reasonable for what you get, loads of space, clean, new, and well set out for a group or family. We were 6 friends who really enjoyed the outdoor space relaxing in the garden with some wine after a long day hiking or at the local pools along the water. Close to everything and a real oasis!

Domek - dzieci nazwały go rezydencją :) , położony wśród hoteli a jednak cisza i spokój. Ogród spełniał funkcję jadalni salonu i czasem sypialni. Piękny, ciekawy i dobrze zorganizowany. Był centralnym miejscem tego domu. Blisko do sklepu , do restauracji, do basenów, nad brzeg oceanu. idealnie. WiFi w porządku ale trzeba pamiętać że góra jest na innym ruterze jak dól . Wyposażenie kuchni ok. Widoku cudne
Niestety wjazd na posesję nawet nie tyle dla doświadczonych kierowców ale też dla bardzo odważnych. Obok na ulicy brak miejsc parkingowych bezpłatnych toteż trzeba było wjeżdżać. W świetle bramy stoi drzewo, o które oczywiście porysowaliśmy jeden z samochodów. wjazd hardkorowy. Przydałby się tez drugi pilot do bramy do drugiego zestawu kluczy bo mieliśmy dwa samochody.

Excellent location. The house is spacious, clean and tidy.

Had an issue with the check-in but was immediately solved.
Only real problem I had was with the quality of the mattresses. They are too bouncy for my taste.
Also, if you are renting a car, be aware that the entrance is small and its a very tight fit.

It was a nice stay and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Were a nice and spacious house with a beautiful garden. Close to the sea, supermarket and a bus station (10 minutes ride to the heart of Funchal). Very good communication with the owner.
No dishwasher. We were 5 students doing our online classes. The wifi wasn't good enough for that. But for normal use it was ok.

We stayed 4 weeks in Casa do Lido with two kids. The location of the house is super, walkable area, supermarket across the street, short walk to the sea. The entrance gate is really narrow but a Fiat Tipo fits through. The house is spacious, the neighbours really nice and the garden is beautiful. The cleaning every week was a feel good factor.

A minus is that there really are a lot of ants. Poison helps a little..there is no dishwasher, the couch is not really comfortable and everything is quiet poorly soundproofed. I can image that its quiet loud when there is no Covid and the hotel and restaurants are open...this time we only heard some cats outside.

We almost felt like home and liked the stay a lot!

PERFEKTE Lage!
super schönes Haus. Leider waren viele Ameisen überall und das Haus ist obwohl wir alle Heizungen angemacht haben nicht warm geworden.
Sonst war alles super :)
Achtung: Die Einfahrt ist für ungeübte Autofahrer nicht einfach zu meistern, da sie sehr eng ist und ein Baum relativ vor der einfahrt den weg verschmälert.

Lovely garden, spacious rooms with balconies, quiet relaxed neighbourhood but close to the big supermarket and fabulous restaurants!

But quite difficult to park as there's a huge tree blocking the entrance to the driveway.

Das wir nicht länger bleiben konnten..

Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt, es ist unsere 4 Aufenthalt auf Madeira und wird auch nicht unser letzter Besuch sein.
Diese Unterkunft war bis jetzt unser schönste und das heißt, wir haben auch schon wieder gebucht.
Mehr muss man nicht sagen, einfach perfekt.

Dům je umístěn v krásné zahradě s upraveným trávníkem a mnoha exotickými rostlinami. Blízko je pobřežní promenáda Lido , supermarket Pingo Doce, autobusová zastávka městské dopravy. Dům je velmi prostorný, kuchyně je vybavena vším potřebným. Klíče jsou předány prostřednictvím skříňky na kód. Do centra se dá dojet autobusem , případně i jít pěšky. Toto ubytování nemá chybu.

The location is excellent and the garden is beautiful, relaxing and very pleasant. The view is nice and we had a very quiet stay as the hotel next door was empty. The house is a good size and well equipped but a 2 week without a dishwasher was difficult. The house is very hot at night(fans provided) but the windows had to be kept closed because of the mosquitoes . A large supermarket is across the road and the Lido is closeby for daily swims and walks.

Casa do Lido is absolutely fantastic place in Madeira! Its advantages are the proximity of the ocean, the entire Funchal infrastructure, ideal location, great garden, amenities for families, lots of space and all necessary accessories. Our monthly stay was wonderful, we will gladly be back again. Thank you ❤️

Hei.
Vi vil takke for et hyggelig opphold på Casa do Lido. Flott hus rent og pent, fin beliggenhet med kort vei til Lido bad og butikker. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.
Det var kjølig de første 2-3 dagene, så vi ringte og spurte om det var mulig med oppvarming, samme dag kom dere med 4 varmeovner , fantastisk service.

Really lovely villa, well equipped. It appears to have been recently renovated, and was very comfortable clean. There is a new washing machine, iron and drying area, handy for families with small children. The bathrooms are shower only, no baths. One upstairs and a small shower room downstairs.
There are fantastic gardens, that are in shade for most of the day. Great for children to play in though. The villa is accessed via an electric gated drive, which made you feel very secure. Lovely restaurants close by, and a well stocked large supermarket just down the hill. Would definitely recommend. However I would suggest taking mosquito repellent sprays etc. as we were badly bitten by the mosquitoes on a night.
All in all though a lovely property which I would definitely recommend

A great house in a calm neighbourhoud with a private garden and a terrace. I stayed with a family with two kids and we liked that it was a lot of free space to run and play around. The kitchen was well equipped and had anything we needed. Grocery store just across the street and handful of restaurants within walking distance. Very close to Lido and superb ice cream spot. I would book again if I travel to Madeira!
