Totally refurbished to welcome you, its entire space was designed for your comfort and well-being. The modern and careful decoration is in tune with the historical streets that surround this city building. With a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom and a generous open space, this apartment is perfect to discover the charms of Funchal.
The house is fully equipped and has all the amenities to make you feel at home.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD AND THE SURROUNDING AREA
This house is located in a privileged central area, right in the heart of the city of Funchal. At 15 minutes walking distance from the Lavradores Market and the Old Town of Funchal, from here you can explore on foot the several touristic points of our beautiful city (e.g. Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Sé Catedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)
TRANSPORTATION
With a bus stop in the vicinity (five minutes away), transport will not be a problem for our guests.
For departures and arrivals from the airport, there is an aerobus stop about seven minutes from the house, although the best option to reach the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the cabs you find at the airport!

Guests have access to all areas of the apartment.

We are always available to help or answer questions. Please contact us via cell phone numbers or email. We will do our best to respond to all requests.
OTHER REMARKS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid identification document (e.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not booked within a maximum of 48 hours, guests will be subject to our staff's availability.
- All bed linens and towels are provided. We can also place a crib, high chair, and baby bathtub if needed. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and fire blanket at all properties.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Cucina dotata di tutto l’occorrente, bagno ampio e pulito e una stanza comune (separata dall’alloggio) molto utile dove si trova la lavatrice e i cestini per la raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti. Consigliata!!!

The doors were always locked by a pin code, and on the first day, we couldn’t lock them properly. However, after contacting the owners, they responded quickly and fixed the issue.
A couple of days before leaving, water started dripping from the ceiling in the shower. Something had happened on the second floor. After informing the owners, they offered to move us to another apartments, but since we had already spent almost a week there and were tired from hiking, we decided to stay. It didn’t bother us that much.
The next day, a similar issue occurred in the kitchen. The owners assumed it was due to rain, but it hadn’t rained that much in Funchal.
Owerall it was a good stay!

The accomodation is in the heart of Funchal, everything is just 5-10 minutes walking! The flat is clean, the bed is very comfortable. We also used the kitchen - you will find everything you need for cooking! we found there salt, pepper, coffee and tea - thanks for that!

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Obiekt jest w centrum miasta przy ulicy jednokierunkowej stąd ruch samochodów nie jest uciążliwy. W pobliżu jest wiele restauracji a sklep oddalony o 5 minut spaceru.

This place could be good. Downtown, many restaurants around etc. Paid parking in walkable distance. But our whole time there was disturbed with very annoying constant whistle sound from some house electronic system. It was waking us up and making it extremely unpleasant to stay inside. I was afraid of hearing damage. It was there from the first day till last day and staff was unable to solve it, so I suppose it was there even before we came and after we left. So the staff doesn't give enough attention to it. I was in contact with them about it the whole time and it had negative impact on our whole stay. I had to ask for discount and I got a room in upper floor for the last night where it was less hearable. I'm glad that at least this was given to us. Unfortunately I have to say to avoid this place until the whistle is reliably solved.

Amazing apartment in a very easily accessible area. We arrived quite early in the day and we're able to leave our bags before checking in, so we didn't have to lug them around. This was a life saver, of course. The apartment was very clean - much appreciated!! Highly recommend this place!

The location was awesome. Really close to everything.
The apartment was really cool and easy to get into. I like the layout of the apartment. I could have a relaxing morning tea while my daughter slept. I also like not having to carry a key with me all over the place.
The bathroom could have looked cleaner if the mold on the grouting around the shower stall was cleaned. It gave a grubby feeling.
The air conditioner also stoped working twice but I was able to contact the host. The temperature also didn’t cool down to 17 degrees. We keep waking up feeling really warm and the room turned stuffy.
The shower - it stated of super hot then slowly got warmer and colder so even when the dial was all the way to the hot side - still cold water. Had to get in and out really quickly.

Il mio soggiorno in questo appartamento centralissimo è stato semplice e privo di complicazioni grazie alle chiare istruzioni fornite per il check-in. La posizione dell'appartamento è davvero eccellente, essendo ubicato in prossimità di tutti i servizi necessari. Świetna lokalizacja, wszędzie blisko, przy apartamencie knajpki ze smacznym jedzeniem.
Apartament 1C nie powinien być udostępniany dla gości. Drzwi do łazienki nie dało się zamknąć, był problem z framugą, co powodowało dyskomfort, trzeba było korzystać z łazienki przy uchylonych drzwiach. Obsługa nie reagowała na nasze zgłoszenie problemu. Sofa na której spała trzecia osoba, była zarwana i niewygodna. Wielkość apartamentu raczej na 2 osoby, przy rozłożonej sofie ciężko było się poruszać.
Apartament 1C nie powinien być udostępniany dla gości. Drzwi do łazienki nie dało się zamknąć, był problem z framugą, co powodowało dyskomfort, trzeba było korzystać z łazienki przy uchylonych drzwiach. Obsługa nie reagowała na nasze zgłoszenie problemu. Great location and ideal for getting to local attractions. Quite a small apartment but fine for 2 people who are out exploring most the time anyway. Yes, it is noisy from the street with traffic and restaurants right outside but double-glazing helps and it was ok for sleeping. I found the bed mattress very firm, some people will like this but it was not great for me.
The apartment has a sofa bed in the lounge, unfortunately this is not comfortable to sit on and tries to unfold itself.
The bathroom door would not close properly, this has been mentioned to the manager now so hopefully will be fixed soon.
All in all, a good location and fine for a few days.

Very well located apartment in the centre of town, over a wonderful Italian restaurant and really close to many others. Couldn’t choose a better location!
We booked the airport transfer through them which was great value and couldn’t fault

Ottima posizione in centro a Funchal a 5 minuti a piedi dal lungomare, appartamento carino, pulito e arredato con tutto il necessario per un soggiorno breve. Doccia spaziosa e acqua calda che esce immediatamente!! Top!!! Ottimo il livello di insonorizzazione degli infissi verso l'esterno.
Il phon non funzionava, il lavandino in bagno è davvero eccessivamente piccolo, ma sono solo dettagli. Peccato manchino una lavatrice e uno stendino, altrimenti sarebbe un appartamento da 10/10.

the location of the appartement was very good, wakable distance from a lot of places, the check-in was smooth and instructions were clear.
here are a list of things i didn't like:
the appartement needs maintenance, there is mold in the bathroom, the shower leaks to the bathroom floor and there is not enough ventilation for the whole appartement. it smells moldy.
the hairdryer needs to be replaced beacuse it does make a strange noise and it smells like burn.
the sheets were not clean, the pillow cases were yellow and you could see stains from the matress.
i got a bad skin rush in both of my arms during my stay for 2 days here (after a week visiting the whole island, so i let you do the math).
here are a list of things i didn't like:

The location was very nice.
There is a huge problem with black mold. Didn’t notice it on arrival, so must have had a very fresh coat of paint, the next morning the mold had bled through the fresh paint job. Also, I would never put TP in a toilet in Portugal, being very aware of the standard rules of no paper in toilets. But we had to fill the toilet bowl to flush toilet with each use, it wouldn’t refill. Not a very good stay! Only there a couple days, and Madeira was super cool and made up for the not so comfortable stay. I won’t post pictures of the black mold at this time, but hope owners read this post and address the very serious issue.

The location was great, as were the amenities. It was great having the kitchenette and I felt it was big enough for us for the week.
There was a large patch of mould in the bathroom, which went right up the doorframe. We also later found some behind the air conditioner, which meant it was pushing our the spores when it was on. There was multiple mosquitos in the room when we arrived, which meant we got bitten many times during our stay. The door with the code was also difficult to use, as it didn’t always lock properly. Cushions were lumpy and poor quality. The whole place seemed like it was a bit run down, although it was clean (with the exception of the mold)

Olá Helena, obrigado pelo seu feedback. Ficamos contentes que tenha gostado da localização, localização que estando no coração da cidade sofre realmente de algum barulho como em todas as cidades. Relativamente aos mosquitos, o clima tropical da Madeira e o calor são realmente perfeitos para que os insetos sejam abundantes e difíceis de controlar. Lamentamos que o sofá cama não tenha sido do seu agrado, iremos passar este feedback ao proprietário.

El deterioro del marco de la puerta del baño era desagradable por presentar moho negro y pudrición, filtraciones de agua en el suelo y riel de la cortina roto (fue reparado un día después de nuestra llegada tras llamar) Inadmisible que se entregue un apartamento para ocupar con estos deterioros tan evidentes. Nada puedes hacer porque no había posibilidad de cambio. Además la suciedad debajo de la cama era abundante: mucho polvo y restos sólidos

Gostamos muito da experiência, a localização é excelente e o apartamento estava limpo. Não conhecemos pessoalmente o proprietário mas as informações fornecidas ajudaram na estadia. Havia uma pequena fuga de água na base da banheira que nós obrigou a limpar todos os dias e o sofá cama era desconfortável. No geral, recomendamos.

Die Lage - sehr Zentral - hat natürlich ihre Vor- und Nachteile.
Nachteil war definitiv Nachts die teilweise extreme Lautstärke durch Urlauber, Autos, Gastronomie und einem Mitbewohner über uns, der immer nach 22 h meinte, er müsste seine Wohnung komplett umräumen... Der schob dann wie wild seine Klamotten hin und her. Das war schon - vorsichtig ausgedrückt

Die Fenster waren zwar gut, aber trotzdem war es sehr laut. Ohropax habe aber ein wenig geholfen.
Vorteil: Aufzug! Moderne Einrichtung, Kaffeemaschine, die wir aber nicht benutzt haben (löslicher Kaffee hatten wir gekauft).
Rolläden an den Fenstern oder bessere Vorhänge anbringen.
Abfluss im Bad lief relativ schlecht ab.
Das Wasser war bei der dritten Person nicht mehr heiss zum Duschen.

Apartment was large, clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and has all the stuff needed for a short stay. Wifi works well, I was able to work remotely for the whole duration of my stay without any issues.
The noise. I was super unlucky to have upstair neighbours who chose to move their furniture from 7am up until midnight every fricking day. I have contacted the manager of the apartment about it who promised to speak to them but that did not bring any change of the behaviour so I have spent most of my stay wearing earplugs. Not ideal. Also the street this apartment is located on is quite busy (especially during the weekend) so you need to consider that as well.

Excellent location for the historic city; within walking distance of all the city sites etc. The apartment was fine and had everything we needed. Only negative is that there is absolutely no outside space (we stayed in 1c).

I stayed here with my dad and we both loved it! There are multiple restaurants only a short walk away, and we didn’t realise the street we were on is one of the oldest streets in Madeira! It was clean, tidy and the host were very quick to reply and great at giving suggestions! Highly recommend.

We had an issue with the shower and it got solved straight away after texting them.

We could only shower in afternoon/evening as the hot water seemed to take a while to wake up!
The flat is managed by remote control. We had a couple of minor issues (faulty door handle and no toilet rolls) which were dealt with within 24 hours, but communication was confusing (lots of different numbers) and impersonal.

The apartment was ideally located! Perfect for visiting the downtown, had a mall near by (to go grocery shopping and buy anything like hats, shoes for the beach, etc), bakeries and restaurants. Just parking is a bit expensive and not easy to find spots durning the week at working hours. And if I can suggest anything to the owners of the apartment..please add in a dishwasher. Everything else is perfect!

If you are searching for a beautiful accomodation in the hearth of the city, that's the place to go! Everything was like in the pictures and the host was very responsive and helpful. Maybe you will have a hard time with smart door lock until you get used with it :)

Well designed, clean, couldn't be more central, efficient AC system, quiet once the doors are closed, comfy bed and a big + for the kitchen as you will find more than the average necessary things for cooking which really helps feeling like at home. Perfect location right in the city center, the place was eqipped with anything one could wish for. Especially great if you want to cook at home once in a while. Communication went well and we loved how cozy and like home it felt. Huge fan of the sliding door between the bedroom and the salon. Made our stay in Madeira even more wonderful.

This is a great place to stay in the downtown core. Very close to everything. The noise is noticeable when the windows are open. It’s equipped with a washer and dryer in a common area, which was really appreciated.

Very nice and clean apartment. Good communication with Travel to Madeira. And in the best neighbourhood for visiting the city. Nice restauarants in the streets: Olives and Arco.

Nice design. Warm welcome. Great welcome pack with local delicacies.
In January it's cold at night. The heating stopped working on second last day. They did not fix it. They did not put in a temporary heater (eur20 at Carrefour). Just 'sorry'. That's not enough. We paid more at time of booking to have heating. They didn't provide the heating. But also did not respond to our request for partial refund (to compensate for us having to buy small heater). In our book not OK. If we pay for something, we expect to get it. It's not reasonable to pay for something and not get it.

A nice, clean place in a great location smack dab in the middle of the city. A walk away from the harbour, the nearest supermarkets and some good restaurants. If you reserve any activities and tours, most of those can pick you up pretty close to where you live, so that's a big plus as well. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the island!

The apartment was very clean and in a good location in old town. The apartment has nice details and the host even provided handy things like salt, pepper, shampoo, etc. In general it's not noisy, only if you leave the window open, the street could be a little loud as it is cobblestone pavement.

Location - in the heart of the city, close to everything, shops, supermarket, restaurants and cafes.
There was another building a few meters away from the windows of the flat, so we didn't see much more than the building across the street. It was dark and there were mosquitos day and night, that we could not deal with, no matter what means we tried. It was also extremely noisy even at night - the restaurant downstairs, people in the street, construction work and garbage trucks - all next to you and the noise stopped only in the early mornings.
There was another building a few meters away from the windows of the flat, so we didn't see much more than the building across the street. The apartment is fabulous, great location, close to parks, entertainment, restaurants, etc. and yet nice and quite/private - you couldn’t ask for better. Loved Funchal, the ambiance, safe environment. So glad I added this destination to my list of places to see in Portugal & Spain. Do yourself a favour and add it to your itinerary - it’s well worth it and stay in the same beautiful apartment as we did.

We loved this apartment! It was very clean and new. I loved the look of the apartment, it was just beautiful! The location is great because you were just down the block from a ton of amazing restaurants! They even recommended a closeby and affordable parking lot for our rental car. Everything was just perfect!

This a well appointed apartment that is very central, clean and modern. We really enjoyed our stay and found the bed to be comfortable. We recommend this apartment and would stay here again.

Nice, tidy appartment which is located directly in the city centre! Only a few minutes to the ocean and lot of restaurant around. Would definitely come back!

Apartamento muy acogedor en el centro de Funchal. Es un poco mas pequeño de lo que parece en las fotos pero esta muy limpio y muy bien cuidado! Lo recomiendo

The apartment was excellent, i.e.:
- Located in a narrow but fairly quiet just one lane downtown street, close to various nice to very good eateries. However, no parking slots for rental cars close by. Nicest little park of Funchal around the corner.
- Access directly by foot, taxi (dozens of them just around the corner) and car. At daytime by car just for mounting and dismounting due to the one lane in front of the house.
- Cleanliness was perfect however one of the bathroom sewers was smelling which is hard to get rid of I know. The fan couldn't solve that problem totally.
- Appliances like modern washing machine and dryer as well as detergent were in the house. The modern air condition just blew towards the bed. TV just cable which made it hard to find acceptable stations.
- Kitchen is equipped with all basics besides a dishwasher. Eating table with four chairs. Mattress seemed new and firm.
The largest (and for me only) con: Management, i.e.:
- Owner obviously didn't file an early mail explaining our arrival and question concerning the offered transfer to the airport. Instead I got several mails just before the trip asking for the arrival. Airport transfer hadn't been reserved either.
- A day before arrival I tried to contact the given phone number. The lady called back and promised to send an SMS when to check-in which I had to ask for once again in the evening.
- Having shown up at the apartment at the given time the named contact person wasn't there and didn't answer her phone either.
- After calling the management again they gave me the entrance codes to the house and the apartment and another lady showed up about 20 min later for doing the check-in.
