This modern studio with large windows has one double bed, a bathroom with shower, a kitchenette and a living room with a double sofa bed. This apartment is fully equipped with all modcons including tv, microwave, free wifi and air conditioning.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Guests have easy access to several restaurants (there's a small coffee on your doorstep), shops and grocery facilities in the area.
Within a 5 minutes walk you can reach the beautiful Market (Mercado dos Lavradores) filled with tropical plants, fruits and flowers, right next to the old town and the marina.
GETTING AROUND
To get from/to airport, there is a aerobus stop within 3 minutes walking distance from the house or you can ask us to arrange a taxi transfer with our local and trustworthy partners. Cheaper than the airport taxis!

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All necessary linens and towels are provided. A cot, high chair and baby's tub can be arranged if necessary. We have a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and an anti-fire blanket on all properties.

Lägenheten var mindre än den såg ut på bilderna. Men läget är ju helt perfekt nära till hamnen, linbanan upp till Monte och nära gamla stan. Vi hade otur eftersom de bygger ett nytt hus precis bredvid men det gjorde inte så mycket eftersom vi ändå klev upp tidigt. Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta boende, värden svarade snabbt.

Great location, unique flat with lots of light during the day, and during the night. The check in wasn’t flawless, but nothing major. The place could use a bit of maintenance work, you can feel that it is pretty worn in places—that kind of toned down the experience from a full 5-star stay. It was considerably hotter inside than outside during January due to the fact that 2 major walls are all windows, so I expect that during the summer it’s something to note with the dated A/C of the flat in mind. Overall, it was a good place, with the potential to be excellent in the future.

Die Wohnung hat eine tolle Lage mitten in der Stadt von wo aus man zu Fuß alles erreichen kann. Es gab keinen Parkplatz, dafür aber gleich Tipps für Parkhäuser in der Nähe. Das einzige Manko war leider das Bett, welches von mir und meiner Freundin als viel zu unbequem empfunden wurde.

Angenehmes kleines Appartement. Wunderbar gelegen im Herzen von Funchal. Supermärkte schnell zu erreichen. Parksituation kompliziert. Wir standen im Parkhaus Santa Luzia, Ausfahrt 24h möglich, 4,50€ für 24h. Leider Baustelle und eine der Hauptstraßen Funchals vor einer der Fensterfronten, daher nicht immer leise aber in Ordnung. Küche für 2 Personen ausreichend ausgestattet. Bad insbesondere WC sehr klein. Türe öffnet kaum, weil schnell die Toilette im Weg ist. Angenehmer Check-In und Check-Out Wir waren zufrieden. This was exactly what we wanted! We were looking for a place in Funchal at a good price to use as a base for day trips and hikes to other parts of Madeira. We returned each day to a lovely flat with amazing windows overlooking a street in the old town, with working AC, comfortable bed and modest amenities. Great value for money! Just bare in mind there is construction work happening at the moment next door, but was not intrusive in the evenings, and we were already out the flat in the morning when it started. Would highly recommend, and thanks for the memorable stay!

Wohnung insgesamt sehr gut, hat alles, was man zum Leben braucht, Zentral in der Altstadt; von daherRestaurants, Lebensmittel, kulturelle Dinge fußläufig zu erreichen.
Ein augenblickliches Manko: direkt neben der Wohnung wird gerade ein Haus abgerissen für einen Neubau; deswegen wochentags ab 07:30 - 17:00 Uhr Baulärm.
Trotzdem hat es uns insgesamt in Funchal gut gefallen!

Het was op zich een prima verblijf maar het appartement heeft zeker onderhoud. Oude airco die een tikkend geluid maakte. Ze kwamen wel meteen een waaier brengen. Het appartement zit op een hoek met veel ramen dus wordt enorm warm binnen. Een goede airco is nodig! Paar dingen die mij persoonlijk stoorde maar wellicht kijkt een ander daar doorheen. Wc bril kleiner dan de pot, waardoor je een gedeelte op de pot zit. Geen haakje voor je handdoek bij de douche. Stang om douchekop aan te hangen was kapot. Het kleed bij de bank is erg smoezelig. Vind ik vies! Prullenbak kapot, waardoor je telkens het deksel moet vastpakken. Bed erg hard en dun! Nachtkastje kapot en versleten. Lamp naast bed deed het niet. Er is wat mij betreft veel onderhoud nodig. De foto' zagen er leuker uit dan dat het was. Dus al met al prima maar voor mij zeker geen 2e keer.

The location of the airbnb is fantastic, particularly if you mainly stay in Funchal or have tours pick you up there. You can step right into the main shopping street, immediately get to wonderful restaurants/ the main boardwalk/harbour. I would love to stay in this area again if returning to Funchal! Would I stay in this Airbnb? No. It "matched the photos", but is outdated. There is a cracked window, visible mold in the bathroom, stains on the curtains, the wallpaper on the dividing wall is peeling, there were carpet stains, silver fish bugs in the sink, the air conditioning unit is loud/old and when the neighbours in the unit next door use the bathroom, it sounds like they are IN this bathroom. The view is a cute street, but also dilapidated buildings right next to you. The host was nice, but didn't use the Airbnb app for check in instructions, so it did take some corresponding to get that info. They did offer flexible check in and parking suggestions which was above and beyond.

We stayed in this appartment during 1 week and both the location and the appartment itself were great. A clean appartment, with enough room for 2. We went out to eat every night so we didn't need the kitchen which was on the smaller side. But this was absolutely no problem. Our sheets were changed in the middle of our stay, which was a nice surplus. Great communication and easy check-in. Would recommend 100% if you're staying in Funchal.

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt in der Innenstadt. Man ist in 5 Minuten am Strand und hat jederzeit eine große Auswahl an Restaurants und Bars. Das Bad war sauber und es gab eine kleine Küchenzeile. Das Bett ist groß genug, dass problemlos 2 Personen ihren Platz finden. Die Wohnung ist komplett verglast. Für die Hitze hat man eine sehr gute Klimaanlage. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es im umliegenden Parkhaus für 15€/24 Std. oder man versucht sein Glück in den kostenpflichtigen Seitenstraßen. Absolut empfehlenswerte Lage, wenn man sonst nur zu Fuß unterwegs ist!

The representative happened to be at the property when we arrived and let us in. It is a bright airy apartment with floor to ceiling windows. It is spacious and comfortable. Very well located in the middle of town. There is a well-equipped kitchen area. The bathroom has a slightly awkward arrangement in 3 sections. It is clean but a bit dated. However the shower is powerful and hot.

Schöne kleine Wohnung in zentraler Lage in Funchal. Direkt um die Ecke sind die Promenade am Meer, der Markt, eine Einkaufsstraße und viele Restaurants. Ein großer Continentale Supermarkt ist nur 2 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Die Küche ist ausreichend ausgestattet für Frühstück und einfache Mahlzeiten. Bad ist klein, aber ausreichend. Über den Online Gästebereich können Angebote und Transfers gebucht werden. Waren zufrieden.

appartamento carino e accogliente, con il neccessario base per vivere . posizione dell' alloggio perfetto, essendo vicino al centro . tutto perfettamente pulito e ordinato ci sono però due punti negativi 1 la zona cottura non è il massimo. gli spazi essendo davvero ristretti hanno dovuto mettere una piastra ad induzione, che funziona perfettamente ma non è il massimo della sicurezza dato che gli manca pure un piedino. 2 al posto della appendiabiti avrei preferito un armadio,anche uno piccolo. Giusto per svuotare la valigia e non tenerla aperta per tutta la vacanza in mezzo al soggiorno.

This apartment was great located and very easy to find. You have several restaurants in front of the door which is great after a long day of hiking. If you are not interested in Restaurants there's also a small kitchen with all you need to cook for yourself :-)

It is a very beautiful apartment with really good location.
You directly have some restaurants in front of the door which is very nice after a long day of hiking! :D
Also you have a small kitchen if you are not interested in restaurants.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gemütlich und optimal für eine „Ferienwohnung“. Der Ausblick aus der Fensterfront ist sehr hübsch und man benötigt abends eigentlich kein Licht (bei zugezogenen Vorhängen ist es dann aber dunkel). Ich hab mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Skvělé místo. Centrum, možnost nákupu snídaně , teplé večeře a potravin a celodenní výlety. Pokud chceš snídat , večeřet v restauraci nemůžeš najít lepší místo . Všechny autobusy po Madeira mají zastávku v blízkosti. Filip perfektně reaguje . Ocenila jsme možnost taxi z letiště a na letiště . Ocenila jsem možnost pozdního opuštění apartmánu za minimální poplatek. Apartmán má vše co potřebuješ a nedáš do batohu ( kávovar, olej , sůl , ručníky )

The place was clean and in an excellent location. The only problem was that it was a little difficult to find due to being hidden away, but once you find it you won’t regret your choice staying here. The floor to ceiling windows are amazing! Worth the price. We utilized the car service recommended by this place called Vanscape. Turned out to be a great recommendation

Everything was ok, apartament has nice location and view. But two things you have to know: 1) the kitchen is very small (we are parents with two kids and making meals was difficult) 2) the apartament is in the center of the city so it is great because everything is close but in the evening and and at night you can hear every conversation from the bar downstairs, it could be a problem for somebody.

The flat was bigger than expected, very well thought out and suitable for either short of long stay. Both bed and sofa were comfortable to sleep, lots of light and lovely views to the old town streets. Location super central and everything is within short walking distance. The value of accommodation is just great. Would definitely stay again! The flat is above the street with cafes and restaurants so it could be a little noisy for those who want an early night, however, I was out in the evenings so it wasn't a problem for me.

Overall, it was the perfect location and a good price. The bed mattress was very thin and hard so it wasn’t very good nights of sleep. They let us check in early which was a huge bonus.

Great location and value for money. Was exactly what we needed for a week stay in Funchal. One of the downsides is no parking however this is stated in listing. Neighbour in flat below also very inconsiderate and noisy however understand that the host has no control over this. Would stay here again.

Amazing apartment, very central Location if you want to stay in the old centre of Funchal. We took a walk to the big hotels todas and just confirmed we wanted to experience Funchal in the city Center. This is a great apartment if you want to “live like a local” with a lot of comfort and for a fair price. No comment

We liked the appartement a lot - the design is nice and the fiew, especially during the night, pretty awesome. However, it could have been cleaner in our oppinion. Also, the bath is rather decreipt. Otherwise we were really happy with it!

Beautiful apartment with perfect location. We were able to reach all the sights in Funchal by walking. Also communication was really good. On our first day we had some problems with the air condition, but they immediately answered and offered to send someone to help us. The apartment has also a lot of kitchen utensils, but i recommend bringing some dish soap, because we couldn't find any. All in all a very nice apartment and i definitely recommend it!

The accommodation is perfect. The location is just great in the heart of Funchal. In the evening the penthouse is illuminated by the gas lamps in the small streets of the old town of Funchal.
The biggest downside of the apartment is that there is no parking possibility. This is a big issue in Funchal in general as there is no public parking. We had to park our car in the park lots of the Anadia shopping nearby. Plan to spent 10€ per night on parking.
We were only missing enough toilet paper and dish soap.

Really special place! We stayed for 2 weeks in Feb and all the windows and light were amazing and you could not be in a more central location. The narrow street has the very economical restaurant options.
Check-in was effortless, but the company/host was not super fast when we messaged them.
It has a small kitchenette, but this really isn't a place for someone who wants to cook many meals.
Great water pressure and hot water, but the door to the toilet doesn't open all the way (it hits the toilet, preventing the door from opening fully), so if you have mobility issues, keep that in mind.

Small apartment in the good location in the old town, however this place has completely no soundproofing, so you could hear your neighborhours singing in the shower and flushing toilet like it's happening in the same room...also there is bar on the first floor and street is quite noisy until at least 22:00. This ruined our stay. So if you are sensitive to noise - avoid this place. Also, place wasn't as clean as advertised. Hair on the floor , in the bathroom and dirty sofa.

Nice apartment in the perfect location in the heart of Funchal. Air condition is necessary as it can get quite hot thanks to the huge windows. But it worked very well and wasn’t noisy. You can’t park the car in the street but have to use a parking lot nearby, which was okay for us.

The location is top-notch, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Walking distance to all major tourist sites, shopping and the marina. The apartment itself is very nice and has everything you need. It does get a bit hot during the day but with the A/C on it cools down very quickly. The windows offer ventilation too. The bed is very comfortable. The only thing I didn't like that much was the portable stove - not very handy for cooking (also kitchenette very small), so better if you go out for dinner or take-aways. Overall had a great stay.

Die Lage des Apartment ist ohne Meerblick dennoch nur 10min vom Hafen in einer kleinen Gasse gelegen. Die Einkaufsstraße ist um die Ecke, auch die beliebte Markthalle ist nur 5min entfernt. (Tipp: Oben auf dem Dach kann man dort herrlich frühstücken!)
Die Ausstattung ist einfach aber alles war vorhanden. Kochplatten, Wasserkocher, Bügeleisen, Föhn, Kaffeemaschine ... Nach drei Tagen bekamen wir neue Handtücher und Bettwäsche gestellt. Die Schlüssel werden mit einer Box (PIN Zugang) übergeben. Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut. No comment

This is a really nice, clean apartment. Located in central Funchal but nevertheless tucked away from the hotels. Conveniently close to supermarket for supplies.
We had everything we needed and more - hair dryer, coffee machine, lots of towels, hobs; amazing amenities considering it is such a compact space.
The flat is located on a side street on the third floor above an excellent cocktail bar and near the main road. All things considered the street is quiet, but there is inevitable noise.
Terrific views all around, but due to the glass it does get quite hot. The A/C was a lifesaver and very effective.
Great communication from the owners who were flexible after our flight was delayed.
We would stay here again!

Great location. Easy to get to everything you would want to see in the city. Communication was great – quick response to any questions. A bit of street noise noticeable at night but it wouldn’t keep us from staying here again. Keep attention to that it’s on the 3rd floor, is a little minus when you carry heavy luggage with you.
The only thing I’d draw anyone’s I messaged host to see if I could check out one hour later to be able spent last hours in Funchal without lugging our bags around but it wasn't possible free of charge and the cost for 1 hour was like for all day.
Overall, we had a great stay at Travel To Madeira’s apartment.

Die Unterkunft hatte eine super Lage. Man war schnell in der Altstadt, in der Nähe vom Hafen und auch Supermärkte und Restaurants waren nicht weit entfernt. Der einzige Störfaktor war, dass man draussen die Bars und auch die Personen in der Wohnung ein Stockwerk tiefer auch bei geschlossenen Fenster gut hören konnte. Dafür jedoch war die Kommunikation sehr gut und man hat in kurzer Zeit Antworten erhalten.

The location is perfect, it's near the old town of Funchal and there are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The appartement is small but has everything you need. At times it can be very noisy and you can hear the people in the appartement beneath you talking. The airco is a big plus because it can get very hot because of all the windows.
I would recommend this place if you want to enjoy Funchal and have a relaxed trip.

Die Wohnung war recht sauber und so wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Positiv ist auch die Top Lage im Stadtzentrum Funchal. Zu Fuß erreicht man alles notwendige wie Supermarkt und zahlreiche Bars. Wir haben die Wohnung mit Transfer gebucht, mussten aber leider an der Fähre ca. 45 Minuten auf den Fahrer warten, viel zu unpünktlich. Auch zu erwähnen wäre, dass die Wohnung extrem hellhörig ist. Man hört die Nachbarn reden und hat manchmal das Gefühl sie würden sich in der eigenen Wohnung befinden.
Letzten Endes haben wir trotz der Mängel unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Vielen Dank :)

The place of this stylish location is amazing, for somebody who loves being in the middle of the city center. El apartamento es ideal para dos o tres personas y para conocer la isla de Madeira, muy céntrica para ver todos los puntos turísticos de Funchal. La limpieza del apartamento es perfecta y tiene todo lo necesario para la estancia. La recepción por parte de Travel to Madeira fue con Carolina, que nos recibió con una maravillosa sonrisa y nos resolvió todas las dudas que teníamos. Great venue for visiting central Funchal. We had transport arranged through the owners but the aerobus shuttle also stops nearby. Carolina met us at the venue and showed us up to the apartment. The apartment is very well kept, perfect for 2 people with a lounge area, table, double bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. The wifi works flawlessly (even when sat at the local wine bar!). The aircon was lovely after a warm Madeiran day. The bathroom with shower was just right and we were able to hang the towels in the shower so they dried daily. The little kitchenette was perfect for our needs, as we provided our own breakfasts using the fridge, cupboards and provided cutlery and tupperware storage for food. The apartment is very central, with nowhere in central Funchal being too far to walk to. There are bakeries nearby (Opan) and two supermarkets (Pingo Doce, Continente) and plenty of other places to eat. The wine bar (Regiões House) is 10 seconds from the door and has a great selection of wines with cheese, meat and fruit boards.

It is located in the very city center, thus a perfect location when visiting Funchal.
We parked our rental car in the closest supermarket (pingo doce, 24hours, ca. 6€). Went well.

Der größte Pluspunkt vorweg: Die Wohnung von André liegt super zentral in der Mitte von Funchal direkt in der Nähe von vielen Cafés, Restaurants und Geschäften. Der Markt sowie die Promenade und viele weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fußläufig in nur wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Dank der Klimaanlage war die Temperatur in der Wohnung gut auszuhalten.
Der durch André organisierte Taxi- sowie CheckIn-Service haben reibungslos funktioniert, Carlos der Fahrer war sehr gastfreundlich und hat uns gleich ein paar einheimische Tipps für die Tage auf der Insel verraten.
Der Stil der Wohnung ist super schön und modern, allerdings sind die Möbel und die Einrichtung inzwischen aufgrund der vielen Gäste in Mitleidenschaft gezogen - das hat uns leider etwas enttäuscht. Außerdem ist die Wohnung ziemlich hellhörig, sodass man nicht nur die Nachbarn sondern auch das Café unterhalb der Wohnung ab früh morgens hört.
Alles in Allem waren wir mit der Unterkunft zufrieden und haben besonders den Ausblick durch die Glasfronten abends sehr genossen.

The suite cozy and comfortable. The big windows were great and the location fabulous. There are great cafe's right on the street below. We met most of the owners who welcomed us with open arms. The location is very central within easy walking distance to the waterfront, countless resturants, shopping and points of interest. We had a rental car and we no problem finding free parking. If you can't, there is pay park close by at a very reasonable rate. Ours host was great and we would stay again.

O espaço está muito bem conseguido, para dois adultos e duas crianças não é necessário mais tendo em conta que apenas usamos o imóvel para dormir e tomar os pequenos almoços. O único inconveniente é a falta de estacionamento mas facilmente se arranjam parques perto a pagar. Fomos muito bem recebidos pela anfitriã que foi muito esclarecedora e simpática.

The apartment is ideally located in Funchal for you to explore every inch of the city. Very convenient to transit to and from the airport. The place was clean when we arrived, had a strong WiFi connection, and was true to the pictures. The air conditioner in the space is great—because the apartment is on the top floor with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, it can heat up very quickly. The AC did the trick. No complaints, and I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting the island!

The apartment is located in the city center, though the equipment (sofa, kitchen, bathroom) has experienced its best times well in the past. Though everything was fine, communication perfect, keys received just right. The kitchen is not equipped for big cooking. Please note that it‘s a bit noisy due to some restaurants & cafes in the neighborhood.

Wie beschrieben, sehr zentrale Lage, interessantes Innendesign, ruhig in einer eingeschränkt befahrbaren Zone gelegen. Die Parkgelegenheiten in der Altstadt Funchals sind sehr begrenzt, weshalb wir unser Auto im Parkhaus des Supermarkts Pingo Doce für 6€/24h untergestellt haben.

De locatie is echt super.. oude centrum, nieuwe centrum, bushaltes, zee, bars, restaurantjes... kortom als je funchal wil ontdekken dan is dit een top appartement. Als er ook nog een balkon zou zijn was dit het beste appartement die je wensen kan. Prijs kwaliteit is goed.

Bad/rude communication: Halfway the holliday we got a Sudden email at 23:30 about that the next day between 13:00 and 18:00 there will be cleaning. I emailed back that we wouldnt apreciate that because we would might be home. they never came for the cleaning but they never replied either about that they canceled the cleaning(?).
Little things which needs fixing: - The door of the freezer in the fridge is not able to close. Which resulted in ruining some food in the fridge, because it made some things freeze in the fridge.
- toilet flush button is stuck often after flushing which makes the toilet keep flushing (gets unstuck by pushing it again)
- the airco cooled the room, but the controlling of the temperature was hard. Setting the temperature to a certain specific temperature would not result in the room becoming that temperature but colder or warmer.
- The internet/wifi connection was bad. it worked okay when being withing a few meters of it(the sofa). But if you where a little bit further(the bed) the connection often failed.
The location is great though. the bed is nice The house is clean enough
I think the owner outsourced the rental of the appartment(we never saw Andre), so i gave three stars instead of two. I think the house is great if Andre does the following.
- if the owner tells the communication point to send emails about cleaning earlier and tells them to respond to emails - fix the toilet flush button - Fix the fridge - Replace the router or something - Maybe get a better airco

I had to schedule an hour on my calendar to sit down and reply to your comment. It's a first for me! Let's go through this:
- We have a free weekly cleaning on all our properties. It's the first time ever we had a complaint about a FREE cleaning. Not only that, we took the time to send you a message to warn you about the time they would do it. You said you didn't want it, so we cancelled it. Now your complaining because we did what you wanted? - We already had hundreds of guests at these studio apartments. Nobody ever complained about the wi-fi or the aircon. There's always a first! - We are always available to help our guests with any needs or problems that may arise during their stay. We only needed a phone call to go and fix the freezer door and the toilet flush. Actually, it's beed done already! - On the private feedback you say "no english?". Can you explain? I surely don't understand because everybody speaks english at our company. - I hope you don't rent houses back home. I will be very upset if I rent you a house if you don't speak portuguese!
Just as a conclusion: next time you visit Madeira, I advise you to book a room at the Reids Hotel. If you're looking for a luxury property, please don't book the cheapest apartment in town!

We stayed in Andre's apartment for a week and partly owe such an amazing holiday to our accommodation :) It's in the perfect location close to everything you need and right by the seafront, but it's still very quiet. The apartment is modern, clean and looks exactly like it does in the photos. Andre was fantastic at communicating from start to finish, and the lovely Carolina checked us in and was happy to answer any questions. Wi-Fi was fast, the air con worked really well and the shower was strong and hot. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Funchal - it's fantastic value for money!

Tento byt jsme navštívili ve dvou lidech v druhé polovině června a pobyt se nám velmi líbil. Při rezervaci majitel odpovídal rychle a okamžitě na vše, co jsme potřebovali vědět. Nabídl nám i možnost dopravy z letiště (kterou jsme nevyužili). Na místě nám klíče předala Caroline, byla velmi milá a ochotná, vše nám v bytě ukázala a odpověděla na dotazy. Byt je příjemný, čistý, hezky zařízený a perfektně vybavený, nic nám tam nechybělo. Velmi jsme ocenili klimatizaci. Před příjezdem jsme se trochu báli velkých oken v tomto bytě, ale nakonec to nebyl vůbec žádný problém, závěsy odcloní slunce i pohledy zvenčí. Kuchyň není uzpůsobena na velké vaření, ale vzhledem k tomu, že byt je přímo v centru města, není problém najít dobré restaurace. Z bytu jsou skvěle dostupné všechny zastávky autobusů i obchodní centrum.

The flat is ideally situated to walk around town, literally five minutes from the market and there is a local supermarket close by too. The flat is clean and comfortable and ideal for two. We visited Madeira for the weekend and it was perfect for our needs. The WiFi is quick and fast, the air con was a bonus, and communication from both Andre and Marta was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Casa exactamente como descrita no centro do Funchal. Sofá e cama super confortáveis, o facto do apartamento ser todo envidraçado é bastante agradável, muita luz natural. Para quem aluga carro o estacionamento é limitado. A cozinha apesar de útil não é prática para cozinhar. No geral gostámos bastante e recomendamos!

The apartment looked exactly as shown in the pictures, beautiful, light and I really enjoyed staying here. It is very centrally located and a perfect starting point to explore Funchal and the rest of the island. I especially loved that it's only a few hundred meters from the sea and wonderful promenade of Funchal. Arranging the check in and out went very smoothly and Andre always responded very promptly to any messages. Thank you very much

Tha apartment is really nice and very light. It is situated in a small street, so it's very quite. However, you are in the centre in less than 5 minutes. As well you have no problems with meals: there are plenty of restaurants and cafes everywhere. One is even downstairs and the people there are really friendly and considerate. :) Thank you!

Besides just about everything you need is there the location is perfect. Located in walking-distances of shops, market and restaurants and still on a reasonably quiet place. We really enjoyed it. A perfect location for daily undertakings during our holiday-stay there.

I definitely recommend Andre for your next stay in Funchal.
He replies and solves any questions very fast.
The location of the apartment is as central as possible, right in the middle of everything.
The apartment itself is amazing, very spacious, clean and beautiful. The only thing to mention is that you hear almost everything the neighbors (from below or same floor) do and talk.

Thoroughly enjoyed this studio apartment with the perfect location. Easy to get to, in the heart of Funchal, yet quiet and convenient. It was clean, modern & had spacious living quarters. A wonderful, sweet & helpful Carolina, met is late in the evening (due to flight delays), to give us our keys and the information necessary for the apartment. There is a little snack/coffee bar right under the apartment so it was perfect for breakfast or grabbing something quick & easy. Thank you for a fabulous stay Madeira!

We were worried about all the windows, a bit of a fish bowl perhaps. Not an issue at all, first, we were hardly in the room during the day, second, there are full length curtains if you're shy and, finally, you're on the third floor - no one cares.
Small bathroom but great shower, comfortable bed, we didn't use the kitchen but it's there, likewise we didn't watch TV but the living room is comfortable.
Very quiet at night, especially with the windows closed and AC works fine.
It's a five minute walk from the restaurants of the old town, and best for us, there was a lovely taverna/deli - Regioes House - 30 metres from the front door where we could have a nice glass of wine to unwind after a busy day (open 'til midnight?)

The apartment is well located in the heart of Funchal in a peaceful street. It is recent and very bright thanks to large bay windows (which is more a drawback during the summer period, see below). King size bed is very comfortable. But this small studio is not suitable for a 4 persons family contrary the announcement: the second bed (sofa bed) is not comfortable (it had not been prepared although we had booked for 4), there are only 2 chairs, the kitchen equipment is limited (only 3 glasses), the fridge is quite small. It is definitively not a place to cook. The apartment is quite impersonal, since it is not directly rent by the owner, but through an agency. Above all the apartment is quite hot (a t least in summer) due to bad isolation (black metal window structures) and poor adaptation to local climate (direct sun radiation on bay windows). As a consequence, air conditioning has to be used almost continuously, which is not healthy and noisy in a so small room. Sound insulation, specially in the bathroom, is limed since you can hear speaking the occupants of the apartment below. Conclusion: only recommended for the short stay of a couple, with meals taken outside.

Great place to stay for weekend away.
Location is perfect, room spacious, hot shower, comfortable bed.
Would stay here again!
Note - pillows on bed are not very comfortable, however there are much better pillows in cupboard (we only discovered them when we were checking out:))
