Haus am Meer mit ausgezeichneter Sonneneinstrahlung, komplett renoviert, komfortabel, hell und modern eingerichtet, perfekt für einen erholsamen Stadturlaub.
Haus im Erdgeschoss mit ca. 100m2, ein Badezimmer mit Dusche, voll ausgestattete Küche, 2 Schlafzimmer, beide mit Tageslicht und Stauraum - eines mit Doppelbett und Zugang zur Terrasse, das andere mit zwei Einzelbetten und Fenster. Im Wohnzimmer befindet sich eine Doppelschlafcouch, die auch für größere Familien geeignet ist. Die Terrasse bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf das Meer und den Hafen von Funchal, einen Bereich mit Außendusche, einen Essbereich und einen tragbaren Grill. Sie ist der begehrteste Raum des Hauses, wo man lesen, sich sonnen, im Freien essen oder einfach nur die Aussicht und das Meeresrauschen genießen kann.

AREA
Das Grundstück befindet sich in Lazareto, nur wenige Minuten vom Zentrum von Funchal entfernt. Es ist eine ruhige Gegend mit einfachem Zugang zum Stadtzentrum, entweder zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto. In der Nähe befinden sich der Miradouro do Lazareto, der Strand Barreirinha, das Forte de São Tiago, die Seilbahn Funchal-Monte, der Mercado dos Lavradores, Restaurants, Bars, lokale Geschäfte und andere Dienstleistungen.
Im Stadtzentrum von Funchal gibt es mehrere touristische Anlaufstellen und Informationen über kulturelle Aktivitäten, radikale Aktivitäten, naturbezogene Aktivitäten, was auch immer der Zweck Ihres Besuchs auf der Insel Madeira ist.

ANREISE
Die beste Möglichkeit, um zum Haus zu gelangen, ist der Transfer. Bitten Sie uns, einen solchen bei unseren lokalen Partnern zu buchen. Er ist billiger als die Taxis, die Sie am Flughafen finden.
Wenn Sie ein Auto mieten, kann jede Navigations-App die Adresse leicht finden.

SONSTIGE BEMERKUNGEN
- Nach portugiesischem Recht müssen alle Gäste einen gültigen Ausweis vorlegen. (Reisepass oder Personalausweis).

- Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Bei Bedarf können wir auch ein Babybett, einen Hochstuhl und eine Babywanne bereitstellen, aber Sie sollten dies anfragen. Es gibt einen Erste-Hilfe-Kasten, Feuerlöscher und eine Feuerlöschdecke im Haus.

Wir möchten, dass Sie sich wie zu Hause fühlen. Wir bitten Sie lediglich um Rücksichtnahme auf die Nachbarn und das Grundstück sowie darum, im Haus nicht zu rauchen.

-Bitte beachten Sie, dass für alle Personen, die in der Gemeinde Funchal übernachten, eine Touristengebühr erhoben wird. So werden allen Kunden, die in touristischen Einrichtungen und/oder Beherbergungsbetrieben übernachten und mindestens 13 Jahre alt sind, 2,00 € pro Person/Nacht berechnet, bis zu einem Maximum von 7 Nächten und einem Maximum von 14,00 € pro Person/Aufenthalt. I have communicated my opinion to the property also. One shower towel per person-insufficient and there was charge for more.
Patio chairs were horrendously stained along with the cushions on the loungers and therefore could not be used. We had to bring kitchen chairs outside to enjoy the patio. Patio had not been cleaned before check in.
Furniture and appliances are needing repair/replacement. In some case a health hazard. Glass fronted cupboard containing delph wouldn’t open fully.
Damp on wall in kitchen and paint peeling. These are just a few of the issues.
Overall would not recommend at all. The views are the only redeeming feature. I really could not wait to check out.

Wir haben den Jahreswechsel auf Madeira verbracht. Ich könnte mir keinen schöneren Ort vorstellen, um das spektakuläre Feuerwerk der Insel anzuschauen.
Über der Terrasse schwebte eine magische Energie … morgens einen Kaffee auf der Liege in der Sonne nehmen, den Kreuzfahrtschiffen beim wegfahren, anzuschauen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Man hört nichts außer das Rauschen des Meeres. Perfekt!
Nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zu einer der schönsten Sonnenuntergangs-Bars auf Madeira …
Der Service von AnIslandApart ist super professionell und herzlich.
Eigentlich fand ich das Haus bei der Buchung viel zu teuer. Der Hochsaison geschuldet. Aber ich habe keinen Cent bereut und würde es sofort wieder buchen, denn ich bin glücklich, erfüllt und erholt nach Hause gekommen. Was will man mehr ….

This place was breath taking! The pictures don’t do the view justice! The host was amazing, they met us to check in and were super helpful and even gave us great recommendations for the area. Everything is in walking distance and parking was easy to find. We highly recommend!

Highly recommended! The place looks gorgeous, eating breakfast on terrace with a view on the ocean it’s wonderful experience. The place was clean and comfortable to stay. Located in close distance to the restaurants and bars in Funchal but much calmer than in city center which is perfect. We didn’t have any problem with finding place to park a car somewhere around the apartment on the street.

La maison de plain pied était très propre, très bien située pour le départ de la visite de l’île; vue imprenable sur l’océan depuis une belle terrasse ombragée. Les services sont top (changement de draps et nettoyage en milieu de séjour). L’agence est hyper réactive aux messages. Elle nous avait prévenus des incendies en cours sur l’île avant notre arrivée. Je recommande chaudement.
Nous avons loué une voiture avec l’agence Vanscape que nous recommandons également (personnes très sympathiques, réactives, bons conseils de visites, bars et restos, Check in et Check out directement à l’aéroport).

The view is unbelievably beautiful and the location is a nice distance from town where you are removed from the noise but can walk to old town. The airbnb itself is nice and clean however there is no air conditioning so it gets a little hot at night.

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft wahnsinnig wohl gefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Es war super sauber und auch die Kommunikation mit An Island klappte hervorragend. Die Lage ist einmalig, da man auf der Terrasse sitzend einen fantastischen Blick auf's Meer hat und die Altstadt ist zu Fuss schnell erreichbar.

Die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Das Quartier ist sehr ruhig und charmant. Zu Fuss ist die Altstadt gut erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und hat uns mehrheitlich gut gefallen. Das bestechendste an der Wohnung ist sicher die Terrasse.

House was absolutely beautiful , as the photos show. It’s about a 15 min walk to downtown Funchal, so really convenient. House had everything we needed to cook simple meals. super recommend . I did have a little trouble getting in- I called the management company 3 times before getting the code to lockbox but other than that everything was Perfect.

The location is fantastic with a beautiful view from the terrace.
It’s a 15 minute walk to restaurants and a couple of small shops where you can buy the basics.
If you have mobility issues this wouldn’t be a good place for you as there are 2 flights of stairs to get down to it and it’s an uphill walk back from the centre but these things weren’t a problem for us. We liked being slightly out of the centre but being able to walk in.
The communication was excellent from when I booked and right through our stay. When we had a problem part way through our stay which was entirely our fault they were very quick to help us out.

Quite a walk to the nearest supermarket (20mins) but the location is very convenient for the town 15mins walk. Steep hills (obviously).
The location is quiet and private, the terrace is the best part watching the sunset where the view uninterrupted.

Amazing family stay here! First time in Madeira and would definitely book here again. The property is exactly what is described and pictured. The outdoor space and interior design instantly drew us to this property. Great location in a quiet neighbourhood. A little bit of a walk into the town/strip where the restaurants are - approximately 10-15 minutes depending. There is an amazing little cafe/bakery about 7 minutes away - however up a very steep hill. Amazing and friendly staff and the pastries are so yummy! Overall had great time and created beautiful family memories here that we will forever cherish. Thank you!!

La maison est spacieuse et la vue vraiment très belle ! Il nous a manqué quelques équipements de cuisine mais rien de bien grave. La maison est néanmoins accessible après une montée depuis le centre ville à 15-20 min donc vigilance si vous êtes à pied.

The views from the apartment were spectacular - we got lucky and saw double rainbow :) it was comfortable enough but not worth the money for what you get. To be honest from reading comments online my expectations were higher, so I was slightly disappointed from what you get in reality for that price (for that price we could stayed in a nice room in Savoy Palace) but the views bought us over. The location is nice, it’s quiet apart from random people sitting on the above parking lot. It’s around 20min walk to town downhill.
The main two things what we really did not liked was cockroaches that would meet us every morning and clogged shower drainage. I know I could checked that and clean it myself but most likely you would find stuff that you should not…

Localização muito boa para quem tem carro, conseguindo uma deslocação fácil até ao centro da cidade. Uma caminhada até ao centro também é perfeitamente viável se não for com pessoas idosas ou crianças.
A vista da casa é lindíssima com uma varanda para excelentes pequenos almoços nos dias mais quentes.
Adoramos tudo: desde a limpeza, espaço e equipamento da cozinha que tinha tudo ao nosso dispor se quiséssemos cozinhar.

we had a wonderful stay here. its outlook is amazing over the ocean and Funchal harbour. Close enough to the old town to make it walkable and having the benefit of having to pass the BBC bar on the terrace above the old Town lido on the way back.
The house is modern and comfortable and served us well.

VIEWS! VIEWS! VIEWS!

In the heart of Funchal this little house by the sea was just amazing! It is a 30 minute walk down hill to Funchal town. The house itself was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay.

The views were amazing as you are just above the sea and can watch the sunset from the front garden of the house. The area is very quiet at night so you can get a good nights sleep and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Felt like we were at home.

We were 6 adults so 2 of us had to use the sofa bed, which was also comfortable.

The only downside would be the check-in time was 4pm and we landed at 9am to Madeira. There was no earlier check-in available. Also a few times the electrics cut out but we got it back on.

I would deffinitly reccomend this place as it is very beautiful and a very comfortable stay!

We loved staying here. It felt like home right away. Everything is there that you would need. Amazing views and beautiful patio to relax and watch the ocean.
The walk to town can be long but we did it with no problems. And the breezes we got at night were great that we did not need air conditioning. We did open the windows and use the fans available and it was all we needed.

The view is even better in person! 😍 This is definitely the main highlight of this place. The hosts did a great job with making sure the kitchen was well stocked and making the place feel trendy.

Here are a few things I wish I paid more attention to:

- The unit does not have AC. While there is a breeze during the day where you can take advantage of opening all windows, night time was a little harder because we had to keep the shutters closer due to bugs. We managed with the fans, but if you run hot, this might a little harder sleep in summer months.

- The location, although walkable to “Old Funchal” requires a 15 minute walk on narrow streets that don’t have sidewalks which can get a liiiiittle sketch at night. If Madeira offered Ubers, this wouldn’t be as big of an issue.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights and adjusted to the location by doing a grocery run and taking advantage of the kitchen and staying in, which gave us more time to soak up the INCREDIBLE view.

Every morning, we were able to get up and have a wonderful view, drinking fresh coffee, which was priceless. Regarding the location, it was easy to commute to the city center and to other places across the whole island.

The kitchen is big enough and contains everything you need in order to prepare breakfast and dinner or supper on your own.

Our host was great! He gave us exact instructions regarding e.g., how to enter the place and where to leave the car. Whenever we had any questions or issues, it was really easy to get in touch with him.

Overall, our experience was really nice and we recommend this apartment to everyone looking for a lovely place to stay.

We had an amazing experience in Funchal. We tried to go the early checkin tryouts since our flight from Porto landed early. The host was nice enough to wait for us at the apartment, allow us to drop our luggage, gave our keys so we can explore the island while the apartment was getting cleaned. Secondly we locked ourself up one evening when we were enjoying the view, the host again drove over in less than 15 minutes to let us back in. Amazing. The apartment was big, nice beds and fully functioning kitchen. Loved Madeira and would love to stay here again.
