Verdelho ist eine vollmundige und weniger säurehaltige Rebsorte als Sercial. Sie ist eine der Rebsorten, die für die Herstellung von Madeira-Wein verwendet werden.
Verdelho ist Teil einer Gruppe von Immobilien, die "The Wine Lodges" genannt werden und sich im Herzen der Stadt in einem historischen Gebäude befinden, das eine der wichtigsten Weinkellereien Madeiras beherbergt, die sich im Besitz der legendären Familie Blandy befindet.
Mit einer bis ins kleinste Detail durchdachten Dekoration, bei der Eleganz und die Geschichte des Gebäudes eine Symbiose eingehen, bietet diese Immobilie hervorragenden Komfort und luxuriöse Details, die ihresgleichen suchen.
Die Wohnung verfügt über großzügige Räume, die sich perfekt für einen Urlaub mit der Familie oder mit Freunden eignen.
Die Wohnung befindet sich im dritten Stock des Gebäudes und verfügt über ein Hauptschlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett und ein Gästezimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten. Im geräumigen Wohnzimmer dieser Wohnung befindet sich ein Schlafsofa für zwei Personen.
Das Anwesen verfügt über einen Balkon mit einem fantastischen Blick über die Bucht von Funchal.
Dieses Anwesen bietet Platz für maximal sechs Personen.
Wi-Fi in allen Bereichen des Hauses zur Verfügung.
Es gibt keinen Aufzug und keine privaten Parkplätze.
AREA
Das Anwesen befindet sich in der edlen und zentralen Gegend von Funchal. Von dieser Wohnung aus können Sie die Innenstadt und die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen. Die Wohnung befindet sich direkt neben dem berühmten Stadtgarten von Funchal und ganz in der Nähe des Jachthafens von Funchal und des Stadttheaters.
Im selben Gebäude können Sie eine der wichtigsten Weinkellereien Madeiras besuchen: Blandy's Wine Lodges ist täglich für Verkostungen und Führungen geöffnet. In diesen Lodges können Sie eine breite Palette von Weinen kennenlernen und kaufen, die Sie später am Flughafen abholen können, nachdem Sie den Zoll passiert haben. Gäste dieses Anwesens haben eine Freikarte pro Paar.
Ein weiteres Muss ist die Bar und das Restaurant "1811 Wine Bar", das sich im selben Gebäude befindet. Hier können Sie einzigartige Köstlichkeiten genießen, die von hervorragenden Weinen begleitet werden. Unsere Gäste erhalten in diesem fantastischen Raum einen exklusiven Rabatt.

- Nach portugiesischem Recht müssen alle Gäste einen gültigen Ausweis vorlegen. (Reisepass oder Personalausweis).
- Die Check-in-Zeit muss im Voraus festgelegt werden. Wenn der Check-in nicht innerhalb von 48 Stunden im Voraus vereinbart wird, hängt er von der Verfügbarkeit unseres Teams ab.
- Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Bei Bedarf können wir auch ein Babybett, einen Hochstuhl und eine Babywanne bereitstellen, aber Sie sollten dies anfragen. Es gibt einen Erste-Hilfe-Kasten, Feuerlöscher und eine Feuerlöschdecke im Haus.
ACHTUNG
Bitte beachten Sie, dass für alle Personen, die in der Gemeinde Funchal übernachten, eine Touristengebühr erhoben wird. So werden allen Kunden, die in touristischen Einrichtungen und/oder Unterkünften übernachten und mindestens 13 Jahre alt sind, 2,00 € pro Person/Nacht berechnet, bis zu einem Maximum von 7 Nächten und einem Maximum von 14,00 € pro Person/Aufenthalt. Bei Ihrer Ankunft erhalten Sie einen Link zur Zahlung dieser Kommunalsteuer.

Some of the curtains were not all secured to the hooks on the rails, heater in lounge was very noisy, the one in garden facing bedroom didn't work at all but there was a radiator provided instead. Chair on balcony had a hole in it and only enough for 3 people when there were 4 of us. Just little attentions to details really.

We have stayed in this apartment three years ago and was looking forward to go back. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. Some examples:
- the parking card and voucher for the museum wasn’t available as described
- lamps at the terasse and in the bed room was out of order
- there wasn’t enough coffee mugs for the family
- there were no toilet paper or soap in one of the bathrooms
- furniture is worn, sofa outside is broken
The staff corresponded quickly but the maintenance of this apartment has clearly not been kept up and today it isn’t worth the money anymore

It was on the 3rd floor with lots of steps. The rooms were labeled with the name of wine but we never were told that just room 3. The shower was broken but they replaced it quickly. In the living room there was door stop that needs to be moved. My husband nearly broke his toe on it.

Das Apartment ist sehr schön eingerichtet und hat viel Platz. Trotz der zentralen Lage ist es sehr ruhig und entspannend. Es ist alles vorhanden, was benötigt wird. Highlight ist die kleine Terrasse „über den Dächern von Funchal“.
Die Kommunikation mit An Island war unkompliziert und sehr kundenorientiert.
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Apartment nur empfehlen.

El aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien, teníamos que estar con las ventanas cerradas porque si no se nos comían los mosquitos. Unas mosquiteras vendrían bien. La respuesta de los responsables con algún problema q surgió lenta y poco adecuada( lavavajillas no funcionaba). El apartamento estaba muy bien era muy chulo pero hacía falta mantenimiento. Deberian avisar de que hay muchas escaleras, son 5 pisos. Tuve que cambiar varias bombillas porque parpadeaban.

Astonishingly spacious with a small terrace with a wonderful view of the city and the ocean.
Excellent Wi-Fi, a big living room, very comfortable beds.
Two bathrooms, But not on the same level as sleeping rooms.
Everything you need in the kitchen.
Pretty expensive, but rather a good value for money.
Not recommended for people having problems with going up and down the stairs

The only other major gripe was that we happened to be booked in when the Festival of Cider was on in the centre of town. Unfortunately this involved very loud music on a few nights coming from the venue less than 150m away. We challenged An Island Apart about the lack of warning and they claimed not to have known. Given this was a major festival I don't think that can be true. So beware local festivals!

Viele Treppen innerhalb der Wohnung. Die Bäder sind nicht wirklich topp, aber okay. In der Küche leider nur Leuchtstoffröhren an der Decke.
Es war okay. Beim nächsten mal würde ich die Wohnung nicht noch einmal buchen.

Don‘t rent this appartement if your not fit to do a lot of stairs (3 floors and in our appartement rooms on another 3 floors 😅) or with huge or heavy luggage.

Dość stare łazienki, w tej położonej ma wyższym piętrze była zepsuta spłuczka, z prysznica nie spływała woda, drzwi zamykały się z trudnością
Drzwi do budynku nie domykały się, a klamka od wewnątrz czasem pozostawała w dłoni. W związku tym budynek czasem nie był zamnkięty, co było problemem ostatniego dnia, kiedy trzeba było zostawić gdzieś bagaże po wymeldowaniu, a przed wyjazdem.

The apartment has many stairs and the old building's shortcomings: the toilet flush did not work, the taps were difficult to use and the water flow was low. But if you don't let it bother you, you'll definitely enjoy your stay here.

The only issue are the stairs. There is no elevator in the building and in the apartment there were many stairs too. For example you need to take the stairs to go to the toilet. For me that's not an issue but if you are traveling with more senior people then this could be a problem.

Before check-in, I was getting up to 4 emails a day from them. Then when we needed the coffee maker fixed, complained about no water in the bathroom sink, and a non-flushing toilet, I heard crickets.
I paid for parking and was given a key card that stopped working after two days when I paid for four. At 6 am, I went to get out of the garage and the card didn’t work. Luckily someone came in and used their key to let me out. Otherwise my friend would have had to pay for a taxi to the airport.
Other than that, it’s a great location, nicely refurbished very old apartment.
