Jättebra att det även fanns en tvättmaskin i köket. Smidigt att det var kodlås till dörrarna så att det inte behövde ske någon utlämning av nycklar vid ankomst eller avfärd. Oklart om det gick att få påfyllning när exempelvis toalettpapper tog slut.

The apartment is in an excellent location and minutes away from everything. Restaurants galore, grocery stores, marina and all walking. Don’t get a car there is nowhere to park. You don’t need a car full time and if you want one for a day or two there are rentals everywhere.
If you’re sensitive to noise it’s not the place for you (AA 1). It’s right on the street and you can listen to peoples conversations.
The apartment itself is spectacular with high ceiling and lots of character. Occasionally there is a bad smell in the lobby because that’s were the garbage room is. Ask the great people at An Island Apart about other apartments in the building that are less noisy.Travel safe.

Amazing flat at superb location in Funchal. Easy to explore everything by foot and bus stop from/to the airport was only a couple of minutes away. The flat had beautiful high ceilings and the furniture fit perfectly, bed was comfy as well :) We had a lovely stay (3 nights) and can highly recommend this aparment.

De locatie is geweldig, je bent gelijk middenin het mooie, oude gedeelte van Funchal en alles was nieuw, heel schoon en airo aanwezig.Toegangscodes op de deuren zeer handig. Fijn dat er een koffiezetapparaat en waterkoker en wasmachine staan. Ondanks de aanwezige wasmachine, toch wel handig, als er een paar extra theedoeken en vaatdoeken zouden liggen.

pros: it is in a good location - restaurants and shops nearby, but it’s not loud since it’s on a higher street. It’s a 6 minute walk to where the dolphin/whale watch boats leave. The room is spacious and the washer/dryer worked well.
Cons: towels had makeup stains on them. When we asked for more towels, they said it was $15 each (do we get to keep them?!?!) There were no beach towels either which for an island, seems like a necessity. We felt the place lacked homeliness- it was sparse, in a building that clearly is all vacay rentals. Not really any personal touches or things like coffee, small bfast items, etc. The company who owns it pushes their tours and rides.
The parking was kind of a mess- do not park in the closest garage that you pass on the way to the apt! (25E). If you need to get to the airport in the early morning, be mindful that the garage needs to be 24h. We found one across from the mall “La Vie” that was only 4.5E per day! Wish we found it sooner.

I really liked this apartment. It was large and spacious, considering I was the only guest, but could easily have accommodated up to 4. Agree with other reviews that if a guest was sleeping on the sofa bed at the front, it could be a little noisy but nothing major- however, the bedroom at the back is so quiet and calm. I had an issue with a couple of fixtures and fittings but communicated these and received very fast replies. There was no corkscrew in the apartment but I left mine for the next guest! 😁 Overall, I was very satisfied with this apartment and had a great week there.

The location could not have been better. Easy walk to anywhere in the city within minutes and no hill climbing! Fantastic coffee shop (Maia) around the corner and numerous, very nice restaurants. Our room was front to back meaning street in the front and bedroom in the back, so it was very quiet sleeping. Some street noise during the day, but the doors at the front were almost soundproof, so no problems there. The key-pad entry to the building and apartment door was very convenient. We had a couple of maintenance issues, and they were addressed immediately...including New Year's day. In my opinion, that shows very good management....and thank you! There was nothing not to like unless you are not an independent traveler. In that case, a full-service hotel would be a better option. If you have a car, you will have to find a garage - and be mindful - some garages close on Sundays and holidays, and also some may close as early as 20:00.

Very nice interior design and the style of the building as well as the apartment. All necessities provided (first aid kit, towels, coffee machine, hairdryer, etc.). Unfortunately the building is located on a very noisy street so sleeping is impossible in the living room. So if the apartament is booked for 4 people- 2 people will sleep perfectly in the quiet bedroom but other 2 sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room will go through a nightmare.

This place is perfect. Very spacious apartment, well equipped kitchen and easy check in with door codes. The location doesn't get any better. If you need to park there is a 24 hour carpark less than 10 mins walk away called Santa Luzia parking for 4 eur a day. Definitely recommend this apartment

This was a lovely apartment in an incredible location to explore Funchal. I don’t think there could be a better location. The apartment was clean when we got there and any minor issues that arose were quickly sorted by staff. We would certainly stay here again. It’s worth noting that only 2 towels are provided for a week long stay and that they charge 10€ for additional towels. Otherwise the place is perfect!

Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an sehr Wohlgefühlt. Das Schlafzimmer war ruhig und nach hinten raus mit einem kleinen und privaten Innenhof. Tolle Restaurants und Bars sowie Parks sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut. Lediglich das "Gemeinschaftsbügeleisen" ist nicht ganz optimal. Wir gingen davon aus, das uns ein Bügeleisen als Ausstattung der Wohnung ständig zur Verfügung steht. Die Kommunikation diesbezüglich war hervorragend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das Apartment hat eine tolle Lage, alles ist neu und ordentlich. Auf Nachfrage nach einem wäscheständer wurde dieser sogar besorgt. Der Kontakt bei Problemen war immer möglich. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Das Apartment war sehr schön, hell und groß.

El apartamento está fantástico, se ubica en un edificio antiguo rehabilitado recientemente, es moderno, muy amplio y cómodo. Se localiza en el centro de Funchal, muy céntrico y se puede ir caminado a todos los sitios de interés.
