Im Herzen von Ponta Delgada, im Norden der Insel Madeira, befindet sich dieses Haus im typisch madeirensischen Stil, das uns an das Haus unserer Großeltern erinnert und in perfektem Zustand ist. Es ist ideal für diejenigen, die eine traditionelle, geräumige und gemütliche Unterkunft mit Meerblick und abseits des Trubels der Stadt suchen, um sich zu erholen und Zeit mit der Familie zu verbringen. Das Anwesen verfügt über einen Hinterhof mit Platz für eine Sonnenterrasse und einen Kaffee oder Tee, während Sie die Ruhe der Umgebung genießen oder ein Buch lesen.
Dieses Haus zeichnet sich durch seinen antiken Stil und seine klassische Dekoration aus, sowie durch die Bevorzugung des natürlichen Lichts im Inneren. Mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 1 Badezimmer kann dieses Haus maximal 6 Personen beherbergen.
Der geflieste Hof ist eine Referenz an die madeirensischen Häuser, ebenso wie die Blumen und Pflanzen, die jede Ecke des Hauses umgeben.
Der Zugang zum Haus erfolgt über einen Weg und dauert etwa eine Minute zu Fuß.
Das Haus verfügt über reservierte Parkplätze für Gäste auf der Straße.
AREA
Das Haus liegt an der Nordküste der Insel Madeira, genauer gesagt in der Gemeinde Ponta Delgada, Gemeinde São Vicente. Nutzen Sie Ihren Aufenthalt, um diesen Ort zu erkunden! Genießen Sie die Aussicht auf die Nordküste der Insel, indem Sie die Aussichtspunkte in der Nähe der Unterkunft besuchen. Besuchen Sie den Miradouro da Ponta Delgada und den Miradouro da Ponta Delgada (Ost), die nur 3 Autominuten oder 6 Gehminuten von der Unterkunft entfernt sind. Innerhalb von 4 Minuten erreichen Sie die Piscinas de Ponta Delgada, die Kirche und das Monte Mar Palace Hotel. In der Nähe gibt es auch eine Apotheke, Minimärkte, eine Tankstelle und einige Bars. We were 3 people and stayed here for 12 days and had a perfect holiday. The house has everything we needed. We especially loved the beautiful garden where you can relax in the sun and sea breeze . Linda, the gardener and girls of the cleaning team are all very friendly. There is a small store and a cafe within a short walk where you can get your daily necessities. There are also restaurants within a few minutes' walk, which is very convenient.
To reach the house you need to drive through a narrow road (after a few days on the island you won't find it narrow anymore;) ).
There were some insects in the room, like ants. But after contacting Linda, the girls from the cleaning team came and cleaned it up quickly.
The double bed is indeed small and would be comfortable for just one person.

Het contact met de verhuurder verliep perfect. Ze was erg vriendelijk, behulpzaam en reageerde snel. Ook haar broer was super behulpzaam
Het is een prachtig huisje, met een geweldige tuin,.heerlijke balkons. Verwacht niet perse luxe, maar wel een hele fijne sfeer. De douche is goed, er is een wasmachine, alles wat je nodig hebt om een maaltijd te bereiden, een gezellige inrichting.
De bedden liggen lekker, al zijn ze wel erg smal.
Je loopt in een paar minuten naar de zee, alwaar ook een zwembad is. Ook een klein supermarktje is niet ver, is te belopen.

Schöne Terrassen mit schönem Ausblick. Die Wohnung hat eine tolle Lage an der Nordseite der Insel. Schwimmbad im Ort. Strand gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen.

Berendezése régiesen elegáns, szép kiegészítőkkel, bútorokkal, tárgyakkal. Két oldali kilátása van, egy kisebb terasz az óceán felé és egy nagyobb terasz a hegyekre, mind a kettő nagyon szép. Az udvar nagyon karbantartott, szép virágokkal, növényekkel. Jól felszerelt konyha, nagy hűtő, sokféle tányér, pohár. Cuki cica, aki jött kis simire meg hamiért. Nagyon kedves és segítőkész a tulajdonos, éjjel is elérhető volt, mert nem találtuk meg a szállást.
Mindegyik ágy nagyon kicsi és kényelmetlen, nem európai emberekre lett méretezve. Két 180 centis ember nem fér el az ágyban, egyszerre kell fordulni, a lábam lelógott. Nincs kinti sütögető, ami jól jött volna esténként. A konyhai serpenyők már elavultak. Nincs a ház előtt közvetlen parkolóhely, fel kell sétálni a fix parkoló helyről kb 50m, ez minket nem zavart, hátha másnak fontos.

Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt. Die Terrassen sind wirklich unschlagbar. Für 5 Personen ist die Bettensituation doch ein bisschen eng, da die Doppelbetten vermutlich nur 1,20m breit sind (wir haben nicht nachgemessen, aber es war sehr eng und wir sind alle 1,40m Betten gewohnt). Die Schränke sind schon etwas älter, daher ein bisschen muffig und ein paar Tierchen haben wir auch angetroffen ;) Nicht weiter schlimm, aber ggf. verbesserungswürdig. Aber insgesamt sehr ruhige, schöne Unterkunft mit toller Aussicht und toller Lage.

Ein wunderschönes Anwesen mit einem traumhaften Garten und wundervoller Aussicht auf die Landschaft von Madeira. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal, jedoch gibt es alles was man braucht. Die Erreichbarkeit des Hauspersonals ist immer gegeben und einmal die Woche gibt es eine Refresh der Wohnung. Wir waren sehr gerne dort und haben und sehr wohl gefühlt.

The house was ideal for us, 3 adults, as we could have one bedroom each. That way there was enough space in the bedrooms, with double occupancy it might have been a bit of a squeeze. For a family of 5 or 6 it would also be fine.
The house is spacious and has a very nice seasoned, lived-in, and somehow British touch, dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, where the family of the landlady had lived in for many decades and really made it a very comfortable home. It is well equipped, with plenty of dishes, plates and glasses, etc. as you can only find in a house that was really lived in, and not just done up on a small budget for rental.
The house is airy and dry, which is not an easy accomplishment on this island, especially in autumn.
There is plenty of space in the kitchen, the dining area, the sitting room, and very importantly also on the various terraces all around the house. The house is situated in a nice garden with interesting plants and which is still nicely maintained.
The location is beautiful. Not easy to find on your own, so you should take the offer of the landlady to lead you there. Once found, access is easy, also the parking. It is very quiet all around, just a few animals in the early morning, no noise from neighbors or any traffic. Also, there is a nice view down onto the ocean, so you immediately get the feeling that this is a wonderful location for a holiday.
Ponta Delgada is not the hub of activity on the island, but it is not very touristy, so nice and calm. Access to most parts of the island are vey easy and quick from here. Therefore an ideal base for all kinds of tours.
Don't trust google maps to guide you there, it is impossible. Ask Linda, who is very kind and will help directly.
Very tall people might find the bed in one of the bedrooms a bit short, but the other 2 double beds are long enough.

It was stunning, even better than the photos, full of character, lots of space for a family of 4. Views from every window and terrace, palms in the garden. The kids loved the lizards around the garden, all very exotic coming from Wales!
We liked that there was a choice of locations to chose from, dining/living room, breakfast room, different terrace spots and garden. All nice for reading a book or having a drink and cards in the evening.
Restaurants and snack bars nearby were good (just need to work out opening hours!). Fab outdoor pool in Ponta Delgada which the kids loved.

Loved the character of the house and furnishings, felt authentic, well equipped and restful.
Saw comments about electricity and hot water but we had no issues, the shower was great and plenty of hot water for all the family.
We didn't have a car the first two days and just enjoyed the village pool and local places to eat and drink. The cafe at the pool does good food and great coffee. Food at As Pedras on the hill was really tasty, great value and stunning views. Good burgers and pizza at Kare's Cafe and Baixos also did lovely food.
The supermarket is a short walk and well stocked.
We had a hire car delivered to the property by This is Madeira for part of our stay and loved the rock pools at Porto Moniz and the beach at Seixal. It's easy to get around the island from Ponta Delgada and the roads were good. We did 2 nights in Funchal before arriving and while Funchal is amazing this house in Ponta Delgada was much more relaxing and peaceful.
The weather even in November was lovely and warm and the house was always a really pleasant temperature even without aircon.
Would highly recommend!

I can't put into words how much we loved our stay. It's a house that feels like a home, so much character not a bland modern apartment.
The gardens are stunning and the views from every terrace and window are unreal. Mountains on one side, sea on another all framed by bananas and palms.
We are a family of 4 with 6&9 year old who loved the local swimming pool which has a fantastic cafe. We also are at Kare's, As Pedras and Baixas and enjoyed coffee in Bom Jesus and snack bar London.
The supermarket is well stocked and the kitchen is well equipped if you prefer to eat in.
We had a hire car for part of our stay and loved seeing the rest of the North, especially Ponta Moniz and Seixal.
Would love to come back in the future.

A great place, an excellent city. Very quiet and peaceful. If you've rented a car, you'll love this place. Lush greenery surrounds the house, and there's a splendid view of the sea. The house appears to be of an older style, which justifies the touch of time that you can feel in the faint scent of antiquity. A couple of small shops are in close proximity.
Apart from that, I would recommend it
The only thing that marred our stay was the host's manner of communication. We were two hours late from the planned arrival time - it's an island, and unexpected things can happen on an island. Nevertheless, this circumstance irritated the host the most, which couldn't help but affect our interaction. She responded condescendingly and impatiently to some of our questions.
Apart from that, I would recommend it

Locatie was goed: schattig huisje met prachtige tuin en wat schaduwplekjes. Binnen stond het huis erg vol en voelde alsof ik bij iemand op visite zat. Het huisje is niet te vinden met google maps maar Linda heeft ons telefonisch naar het huis genavigeerd.
Het had schoner gekund en de tweepersoonsbedden waren veel te smal voor 2 personen. Het huis staat vol met meubels en accessoires waardoor je het idee hebt dat je bij iemand op visite zit. De keuken is erg verouderd maar alles wat je nodig hebt, is wel aanwezig. Door de luiken voor de ramen en door hoe het huis gelegen is, is het binnen lekker koel.
Het had schoner gekund en de tweepersoonsbedden waren veel te smal voor 2 personen. Het huis staat vol met meubels en accessoires waardoor je het idee hebt dat je bij iemand op visite zit. Excellent house with great kitchen equipment, calm area with beautifill ocean view, close to the grocery store. Rooms with very comfortable beds, great common leaving room to spend time together if weather is not great. Beautifull garden, nice terrace to sit outside. Location is wrong settled in Google maps but the host guide us how to drive with any problems (+ free parking spot outside the house)
Worth to think about grill and some sun beds. WiFi doesn't work well. Unfortunately there are no available accesses to the nearest beach due to the detached cliff.

The views, the place is absolutely beautiful everything was really perfect and peaceful a beautiful house, and the neighbours were super friendly and helpful
The rooms have furniture that can be removed to give more space.
The beds could be bigger and more comfortable
A better description on how to get to property especially of checking in late as we did as its not easy to find, maybe more signs as it is a remote area and we checked in late but apart from that the house is really beautiful cannot complain as its worth the value of property.

All as you would expect from country house. Not modern, but clean, silent in good location with nice view.
Double beds are really small according to standards of these times. This was the only struggle I had.

Beautiful views from the terrace, nice garden, great mattress in a baby bed
The huge problem was the water pressure. It was almost impossible to have hot water in the shower (maybe one person out of 4 could have one warm shower during a 3-nights stay). Also the cold water pressure in the shower was very very bad. Similarly in the kitchen - usually no hot water (and if it was available it was boiling hot) although the pressure of cold water was a bit better than in the shower. Another problem is that the bedrooms are very small - if you travel with a big suitcase there is no space to open it in the bedroom.

Make sure you are clear about the location of the property. Unless you have a car you are basically stuck in the house in a very rural place which may be just what you want if you are looking for “quiet” and to wind down. Otherwise be prepared to drive about 30 to 45 minutes a day. The property also gives an interesting perspective on how the locals live. It is not touristy at all which was fine by us

The exterior of the house is very satisfying; The terrace is absolutely wonderful with lots of spacy nooks, exortic plant, small tables with chairs. The view from the terrace is lovely. The people you meet in the neighborhood is so friendly and helpful.
The interior of the house is very old fashioned. The funitures are elegant but you still get a vibe of stuffy smelling and especially the carpet could use a replacement. The kitchen needs cleaning and renovation!
We were however very happy to find that there were essential product one need around the house such as soap, toiletpaper and washing powder etc.
All in all a good house especially outdoor. Indside is fine but could use some modern renewal and a cleaner kitchen.
The communication was good, however we started up driving to the wrong adress that we were following from our rbnb information.. Luckly we had some neighborhood helpers that located the place for us.
We have had a good stay there.. and we especially enjoyed the space of the house, the location, the neighborhood and the colorful terrace. The inside needs renewal, but it can work if you are not expecting or promising too much of the place.

House is beautifully located and has a nice view, you feel like in a real home with the old furniture. But the electricity is dangerous and not in a good condition, constant power shortage and dangerous taped wires we also had electrical sparks outside when the power went off. Water pump makes strange noise each minute this is annoying in the night. Owners seriously need to modernize the electrical state of the house

Das Haus und der Garten sind wunderschön, toller Meerblick. Es ist sehr stilecht und gemütlich eingerichtet, man fühlt sich in die Zeit um die Jahrhundertwende zurückversetzt. Leider sind die Betten sehr klein, nicht für zwei Erwachsende geeignet. Und leider, großes Manko, ist auch die Elektrik auf dem Stand von 1900. Uralte wild verlegte Kabel teilweise mit Klebeband geklebt oder lose im nassen draußen hängend, viele Verlängerungskabel und Heizkörper ohne Stromanschluss in der Nähe, das ist unverantwortlich. Wir hatten mehrere Stromausfälle, obwohl wir kaum Geräte angeschlossen oder in Betrieb hatten. Die Wasserpumpe machte jede Minute laute Geräusche, vor allem nachts sehr störend. Wenn kein Strom da war, war auch kein Wasser im Haus. Auf mehrere Bitten kam dann endlich nach 3 Tagen mal ein Elektriker, ausgerechnet abends als das Kind schlief und versuchte etwas zu reparieren, leider hat es nichts gebracht und es fiel weiter dauernd der Strom aus. das Haus muss dringend elektrisch Grundsaniert werden, wenn hier weiter Gäste wohnen sollen. Es wäre sehr schade, um die schöne Location, wenn hier nichts passiert. Immerhin hat uns die Agentur dann 10% discount gegeben

Outside nice house, inside not cleaned and kitchen bad equipped and lots more... But the Company AnIsland Apart was very quick and helpful with remboursement of money due to our early leaving the house after one night instead of six. Price for the lack of comfort in this old house is much too high. People were nice.

Die Lage des Hauses ist traumhaft, aber nach der Beschreibung des Anbieters nicht zu finden. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer, des Bades, der Terrassen ist ok. Die Küche jedoch ist verbesserungsbedürftig. Die Schränke sind schmutzig, ebenso das Geschirr. Die Nutzung von Toaster, Wasserkocher und Herd führen zu ständigem Stromausfall. Es ist nur eine Nespresso Kapselmaschine vorhanden. Das Haus verfügt über Heizkörper in den Zimmern, jedoch gibt es keine Steckdosen für die Nutzung. Die gesamte Elektrik ist in desolatem Zustand.

Lovely family house that makes you feel at home. Absolute fantastic views and a real pretty garden and lots of space around it. It can get pretty cold in the house and it smells a bit like my old grandmothers home. The beds were too small for us so we’ve slept on the matrasses in de living room which was quite nice. It’s an old house, but if you don’t mind lacking fancy technology, you’ll do great here. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful charming house and great location, so all in all great value and recommandable. There where som minor issues (lacking som basic kitchen amenities and some thousand ants (true!) in the TV but nut enough to ruin our stay :)
