Das gesamte Gebäude wurde komplett renoviert, um Sie willkommen zu heißen, und der gesamte Raum wurde für Ihren Komfort und Ihr Wohlbefinden gestaltet. Die moderne und sorgfältige Dekoration steht im Einklang mit den historischen Straßen, die dieses Stadtgebäude umgeben. Mit einem Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, einem Badezimmer und einem großzügigen offenen Raum ist diese Wohnung ideal, um den Charme von Funchal zu entdecken.
Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet und verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten, damit Sie sich wie zu Hause fühlen.
DIE NACHBARSCHAFT UND DIE UMGEBUNG
Dieses Haus befindet sich in einer privilegierten zentralen Lage, mitten im Herzen der Stadt Funchal. Nur 15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Lavradores-Markt und der Altstadt von Funchal entfernt, können Sie von hier aus zu Fuß die verschiedenen touristischen Punkte unserer schönen Stadt erkunden (z.B. Seilbahn, Jachthafen von Funchal, CR7 Museum, Sé Catedral, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)
TRANSPORT
Mit einer Bushaltestelle in der Nähe (fünf Minuten entfernt), wird der Transport kein Problem für unsere Gäste sein.
Für Abflüge und Ankünfte vom Flughafen gibt es eine Aerobus-Haltestelle etwa sieben Minuten vom Haus entfernt, obwohl die beste Option, um die Wohnung zu erreichen, der Transfer ist. Bitten Sie uns, einen solchen bei unseren lokalen Partnern zu buchen. Es ist billiger als die Taxis, die Sie am Flughafen finden!

The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable and very much enjoyed spending time on the balcony.
The bathroom was smelly at times and the shower leaked, but was clean and easy to use.
Had a kettle, toaster, coffee machine, fridge, iron, drying rack, stove and full set of mugs, plates, pots and pans.
The washing machine was located in the service area with a dryer and was very easy to use and clean.
The owner was easily contactable on phone for help.
Safe and secure as well!

När vi kom var lägenheten inte städad, ringde värden som löste det och vi fick sedan en ren och fräsch lägenhet.
Vi var trötta efter en lång resa så första intrycket drogs ner men det blev snabbt bättre. Lägenheten är rymlig och ligger centralt md närheten till många restauranger. Vi är mycket nöjda med boendet och vår vistelse på Madeira och kan varmt rekommendera An Isand som värd.

Unfortunately the bathroom was a bit dirty when we checked in. The rest of the apartment was clean.
The balkony is huge, but the furniture is very poor. Unfortunately there is no sun at all on the balkony.

On a aussi beaucoup aimé la rapidité et l'efficacité de l'équipe du service à la clientèle. Chaque fois qu'on a eu une question, ils nous ont répondu en moins d'une heure. D'ailleurs, on a eu un petit problème avec la toilette et l'équipe de maintenance est arrivée dans l'heure qui a suivi.
On réserverait assurément à nouveau à cet endroit si on revenait à Madère.

The apartment is bright and open, a welcome change to some of the small cramped apartments around. It has all the facilities you need whether self catering or not. The air-conditioning was incredibly welcome given some of the weather we had.
The balcony is secluded and very spacious, a nice place to relax at the end of the day. It also doubles as a good place for drying towels after going for a swim.
Access to the property is really easy and it's easy to access taxis and Bolts of required.
The communication from Filipe at An Island Apart was very responsive too.

The apartment for 3 people with a large terrace is adequately furnished, the deckchairs on the terrace are missing. Unfortunately, we had loud residents in the apartment above us and as a result sleepless nights - the sound isolation between the apartments is poor.

The Airbnb was well appointed with everything you could need for a weeklong stay. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked extremely well. The TV had lots of English speaking channels which is always a bonus. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the building too. This is on the 2nd floor.
The hosts were extremely responsive, whenever we had a question they responded within an hour.
We would definitely stay here again.

Foi a minha primeira experiência com um airBnB cuidado por uma empresa, então estranhei um pouco não ser recebida pessoalmente, com carinho e dicas. A gnt se sente um pouco abandonada. Mas tudo funcionou a contento. Só percebi 3 coisas a melhorar: o apartamento tá muito “ pelado” tipo: só tem 3 xícaras, 3 pratinhos, 3 copos, 2 travesseiros, e assim por diante. Se for alugado p 4 pessoas, vai faltar!
O sofá cama já viu dias melhores e e desconfortável p sentar.
E eu perguntei no dia anterior da chegada se poderia guardar as malas antes do checking, disseram q não e tudo bem. Mas qdo cheguei no Predio tive q perguntar por e-mail como entrar, e esperar na rua com malas, pq não havia ninguém p me receber e as senhas de acesso me foram passadas por e-mail depois q eu disse q estava na rua.
As senhas poderiam ter sido passadas no dia anterior, p facilitar.
Mas nada disso comprometeu a estadia.
Recomendo.

The shower was awkward and very small opening. you had to squish your whole body into the corner in order to close the shower door. The shower leaked onto the floor because the door seals need replacing.

I would also note that this airbnb had thin walls (we were able to hear the wake up alarm of our neighbours) and it is very difficult to shower without water leaking to the floor which is annoying.
Pros: very smooth check in/out, and good communication with the airbnb manager.

Não gostei mesmo: da falta de cortina de "blackout" da porta junto à "kitchenette" (apesar de ter solicitado a verificação antes do início da estadia para 3 pessoas). Contatei um colaborador da AIA e este, apesar de dizer me contactaria para resolver o problema, nunca o fez. A situação foi remediada no dia seguinte, ao encontráramos a cortina, sem grampos, na arrecadação. Retiramos alguns grampos de outra cortina e improvisamos.

This apartment is a bit colder as it does not get a lot of direct sunlight and I found that I had to keep the heating on most of the day, but it was also a bit colder in Funchal at that time. The sower needs to be properly taken care of, they've added a lot of silicon to try to fix it but it is still leaking. The terrace should also be cleaned once in a while as it looked a bit neglected. The wall paint needs some refreshing and since there is space it might not be a bad idea to add a dishwasher. Nevertheless, I did find both of the apartments in this building to be some of the best places to stay in Funchal.

Check-In und die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber waren unkompliziert und reibungslos.
Die Wohnung ist wie auf den Bildern gezeigt.
Die Küche bietet alles, was man braucht. Wir haben uns besonders über den Kaffee gefreut.

The only real issue is the bathroom, as you can’t avoid the shower flooding the floor when you get in it, and it just never dries so even using a bath mat the floor is permanently wet. Not a problem for a few days, but would be annoying in a longer stay.

Three things are vital when travelling: 1) having good wifi, 2) having a quiet room and 3) having a comfortable bed. This accommodation did not provide any of these things. The wifi kept dropping out and completely vanished for 3 days. The noise heard from other apartments was a complete joke. We were on the third floor and could hear every time the front door opened on level 0 as well as every other time someone came or left each apartment. We heard babies crying all night and loud bangs frequently from above us. We had to sleep with a white noise app on our phones. We also found the bed so small that my husband slept on the sofa bed. If a company cannot provide these three basics, it can never be a good accommodation.

The flat is HUGE! So you can make yourself fully at home. The terrace balcony is almost as big! It’s in the shade in the afternoons, but the old town roofs and old castle still make the view nice.
Really great value and will definitely book again if lucky enough to go back to Madeira again!
