Der Innenraum wurde optimal genutzt, um den Komfort zu bieten, der mit einer modernen und sorgfältigen Dekoration gepaart ist, die Ihre Erwartungen erfüllen wird. DIE NACHBARSCHAFT ÜBERBLICK
Die Gäste haben einfachen Zugang zu mehreren Restaurants (es gibt ein kleines Café direkt vor dem Gebäude), Geschäfte, Einkaufszentrum und Supermarkt.
Die Wohnung liegt ganz in der Nähe des berühmten Bauernmarktes (Mercado dos Lavradores), des historischen Zentrums von Funchal (lokal als "Zona Velha" bekannt) und der Kathedrale. Von hier aus können Sie viele der wichtigsten Touristenattraktionen unserer schönen Stadt zu Fuß erkunden. (z.B. die Seilbahn, der Yachthafen von Funchal, das CR7-Museum, die Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)

Der Strand von Barreirinha ist etwa zwanzig Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, wo Sie sich entspannen und in das kristallklare Wasser der Insel eintauchen können.

GETTING AROUND
Obwohl eine Aerobus-Haltestelle für An- und Abflüge vom Flughafen nur vier Minuten zu Fuß von der Wohnung entfernt ist, empfehlen wir den privaten Transfer-Service als die beste Option, um dorthin zu gelangen. Kontaktieren Sie uns im Voraus, um einen privaten Transfer mit unseren lokalen Partnern zu vereinbaren. Es ist billiger als ein Taxi am Flughafen zu nehmen!

SONSTIGE BEMERKUNGEN
- Nach portugiesischem Recht müssen alle Gäste einen gültigen Ausweis vorlegen. (z.B. Reisepass, Personalausweis).
- Der Check-in muss im Voraus geplant werden. Falls der Check-in nicht innerhalb von 48 Stunden vor der Ankunft geplant wird, müssen die Gäste die Verfügbarkeit unseres Teams abwarten.
- Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind vorhanden. Bei Bedarf können wir auch ein Kinderbett, einen Hochstuhl und eine Babybadewanne zur Verfügung stellen. Ein Erste-Hilfe-Kasten, ein Feuerlöscher und eine Feuerlöschdecke sind in allen Unterkünften vorhanden.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass für alle Personen, die in der Gemeinde Funchal übernachten, eine Touristengebühr erhoben wird. Für alle Gäste, die in Ferienanlagen und/oder Unterkünften übernachten und mindestens 13 Jahre alt sind, wird eine Gebühr von 2,00 € pro Person/Nacht erhoben, bis zu einem Maximum von 7 Nächten und einem Maximum von 14,00 € pro Person/Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung und die Terrasse sind der Hammer. Sehr hell und komfortabel. Leider war neben uns eine Baustelle. Der Kran gränzte direkt am Balkon. Gott sei Dank wurde dort nicht so oft gearbeitet. Am Straßenlärm gewöhnte man sich eigentlich sehr schnell. Täglich konnten man die Kreuzfahrtschiffe ein und ausfahren sehen. Sehr beeindruckend. Der angekündigte Reinigungsdienst nach 1 Woche stand morgens früh kurz nach 8.00h in unserer Wohnung ohne zu klingeln. Angekündigt war, daß es bis 19.00h alles erledigt ist, aber im Urlaub kurz nach 8.00h und ohne klingeln?! Man muß wissen, das diese Penthouse-Wohnung Eintritt mit dem Fahrstuhl hat. Wir hätten noch im Bett liegen können!!!

Der Blick von der Terrasse ist fantastisch. Man sieht den Hafen mit den Kreuzfahrtschiffen, die Stadt und den Berg.
Nebenan ist eine Baustelle, es wird ein weiteres Hochhaus gebaut, und es wird wohl noch lange gebaut. Der Lärm ist zeitweise so extrem, dass die Terrasse nicht benutzt werden kann.
In der Ausstattung fehlen z.B. Toaster, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine.
In den Schränken gibt es keine Regale, oder nur so hoch, dass eine normal gewachsene Frau sie nicht erreichen kann.

Dejlig lejlighed, med skøn tagterrasse og herlig udsigt. Gode faciliteter med opvaskemaskine og vaskemaskine. Og byens oplevelser lige neden for.
Hmm, der manglede tabs til opvaskemaskinen til alle 14 dage, så vi måtte købe nogle flere.

Underbar lägenhet mycket centralt i Funchal. Stor terrass på högsta våningen med utsikt över stad och hav. Kök var välutrustat med allt vad man kan behöva.

This place is a gorgeous place to stay in Funchal. It does seem a little smaller in reality than in pictures, but it is perfect for two people. We had the Christmas lunch on the terrace and it was perfect.

Der Aufenthalt im Penthouse hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und zu Fuß erreicht man viele Restaurants, die Altstadt, den Hafen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Von der Dachterrasse und allen Räumen hatte man einen beeindruckenden Blick über die Dächer der Altstadt bis zu den Kreuzfahrtschiffen im Hafen. Entsprechend der zentralen Lage an einer viel befahrenen Straße ist es nicht absolut still. In der Nacht kann man dennoch sehr gut schlafen.

I absolutely loved my stay in this apartment. I was there just for 2 nights to arrive on Madeira while waiting for my mum to join me on another flight, before we headed to the next accommodation further along the South Coast by rental car together. This apartment was perfect for getting everywhere by foot, the Aerobus bus stop was super close by, and I could attend my most desired activity, whale watching, super easily, so I did not rely on a rental car for those days. The rooftop terrace was absolutely amazing, such views! I could also check in a little earlier upon arrival which was great to be able to freshen up before going outside to get some food. The Cuban place just downstairs had delicious food and cocktails, absolutely recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay in Madeira. We want to return and this will be our first choice of place to stay. The accommodation is perfect for a couple to stay in the centre of the city. Everything is so close by. The views are amazing - we had our daily ship watching :)

Man mag es kaum glauben, aber das Appartement sieht wirklich so aus wie auf den Fotos. Es ist hell, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Küche bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten vom Ofen und Herd bis zur Microwelle. Die Ausstattung mit Pfannen, Töpfen und Besteck ist perfekt – was bei vielen Ferienunterkünften nicht der Fall ist. Da mangelt es häufig an Schneidemessern. Die Terrasse mit dem Rundumblick auf Funchal ist wirklich fantastisch, wir haben uns jeden Morgen darauf gefreut, zu schauen, welches Schiff gerade am Hafen vor Anker liegt. Man kann vom Bett aus das Meer sehen. Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen, man ist mitten im Geschehen und kann auch abends noch einmal vor die Tür gehen und einen Spaziergang durch die Altstadt machen. Einzige Einschränkung – es kann etwas laut werden, da unten eine Hauptstraße entlangführt. Es ist kein Höllenlärm, könnte aber empfindliche Schläfer stören. Wir haben einfach die Fenster geschlossen und nach Bedarf die Klimaanlage angeschaltet.

Beautiful apartment, but within a construction site on a very noisy street with cars and bars. Keep that in mind. Though the terrace is awesome. Completely impossible to find a street parking nearby (even a paid one), only a private garage.

A stunning view and fast, proactive service. Totally central. Good for two people. The wardrobe could do with more drawers. But that's not really that important.
With a forewarning they’ve also changed towels and bed linen over our stay and cleaned the flat. That gave us a little extra hotel suite feeling. Nice one. Would definitely return.
(Have sunscreen ready, there’s a lot of sun on the rooftop terrace).

Lovely apartment with fabulous outside terrace and sea and Mountain View, close to everything, really enjoyed our stay. This is a central city location next to a busy road so you do need to expect a level of noise and there is some building work going on nearby.

We spent a single night in the apartment due to a delay in the airport. The appartment is on the top floor on a very nice location.

Er was nooit iemand aanwezig waar je iets aan kon vragen. 2 handdoeken voor een week vind ik persoonlijk wel erg weinig. Voordeel is dan wel dat er een wasmachine aanwezig is en je ze zelf tussendoor kan wassen

De locatie was echt uitstekend!! Alles zat in de buurt en bij alle hoofdwegen waardoor veel taxi ook beschikbaar zijn. En je veel ook lopend kunt doen omdat je niet volledig boven op de berg zit. Zijn veel zwervers in de omgeving al vallen ze je verder niet lastig. 1 theedoek en grote handdoek voor afdrogen dus hygiëne wordt daardoor minder. Dingen dus aangeschaft extra.

We enjoyed being in the heart of town, easy stroll to the beach and the OldTown. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The penthouse has a lovely deck with excellent views. All you need in the kitchen is there. Nice stay, we were there for four nights. The street noise can be loud, it is just beside a main route.

Toilet valve leaking and running 24/7
Furnishings stained and need replacing.
Bedding stained and needs replacing.
Clothes aider rusty and needs replacing.
Curtains/sun screens need updating and made easier to operate.

The whole apartments needs painting and made over to meet the price being asked.

This is only my own honest opinion and hopefully the owners take this on board.
It’s easier to keep taking the profits, but you need to sometimes keep things updated and maintained to meet peoples expectations or this get lost.

I have got some sympathy with the clearers, they can only use what given to them and this is mostly stained.

Everything was perfect! The apartment has an incredible view, a good location and a lift directly into the flat. There is a kitchen with everything you need, also coffee/sugar/salt. The only thing is that the washing machine is located on the 1st floor in the laundry room.

Schöne Penthouse-Wohnung im Zentrum von Funchal.
Die Bilder sahen bereits sehr vielversprechend aus; leider sind es jedoch auch diese, die nicht mehr ganz mit der Realität übereinstimmen (Bsp.: kleiner Beschädigungen an den Möbeln und das gesamte Bad - insbesondere die Dusche mit vielen Flecken - könnte mal wieder renoviert werden).

Ansonsten erfüllt die Wohnung die Erwartungen. Man hat einen hervorragenden Ausbilck von der Terasse auf den Hafen und auch sonst befindet sich die Wohnung im Zentrum von Funchal gelegen und man kann alles sehr gut zu Fuß erreichen.
Einziges Manko bei der zentralen Lage ist die sich ein wenig schwierig zu gestaltende Parkplatzsuche.

FAA Rentals 31 de Janeiro Penthouse is the best value for your money when it comes to rentals. The apartment has a great wiew of the Ocean, Old Town and the mountains. Great location but not noisy. Excellent spot - would stay again. Conveniently located near public parking and old town Funchal, allowing you to explore city on foot and then quickly drive out to rest of island. Amazing view. Only thing to note to is elevator opens directly into apartment. While you can't go to the floor without your own key, solo female travelers may feel comfortable For us, it was a cool feature. Die Unterkunft war super. Genau wie auf den Fotos und sehr zentral gelegen, sodass man direkt in der Innenstadt von Funchal ist. Die Dachterrasse hat eine tolle Aussicht und der Check-in funktioniert perfekt über eine Schlüsselbox. Das Appartement ist nur über einen Aufzug mit Schlüssel erreichbar.

Overall we had a very nice stay at the apartment - great location, very nice space, responsive team; they also helped us with airport transfers which was wonderful and very much appreciated!
The absolute only thing was the check in process. Our flight was delayed and we got to the apartment in the middle of the night (past 2am). The instructions were not specific enough and we could not get inside the apartment. Given the hour, the host did not respond right away, so we had to go through the Airbnb support. Once they got through to the host, she was very helpful and gave more detail on how to get inside the apartment (we had no issue getting into the building and to the lockbox - pretty straightforward). The whole check in process took about two hours but we finally managed to get in around 5am.
Aside from this, everything else was fine but I would encourage the host to be as specific as possible when giving check in instructions.
Other than that, the stay was very nice.

Apartment ideally located and everything with walking distance. Having outside space was a bonus. Clean and tidy and very safe and communication was instant if you required assistance.
Although the umbrella on the terrace was broken and there was no kettle, we were assured that this wld be looked into and rectified. Having some tumblers / wine glasses would have been ideal too but I’m sure this will also be addressed.
All in all a pleasant stay and wld recommend for location and sight seeing.

This place has an incredible view of Funchal, and being on the top floor feels very safe and private. There is also a great selection of restaurants close by and everything you would need is within walking distance. I recommend Sabor Tropical for their seafood rice :).

One issue we had was that we had a rental car, and unfortunately there is no parking for this place, you must pay to park overnight at one of the garages in Funchal. The bed was not super comfortable, but besides that we really enjoyed our time on Madeira, incredible location.

Excellent séjour à Funchal, emplacement idéal ,
Terrasse top pour le petit dej ou l’apéro !!! Vue panoramique sur les toits . Seul bémol : avenue assez passante donc on entend un peu la circulation mais c’est gérable sans souci !
Important de noter que Les 2 espaces chambres communiquent , il n’y a pas de séparation mais c’est bien fait .
Vraiment un super séjour dans un appartement au dernier étage très agréable et propre!

Nice apartment , excellent location, clean building, well cared for
A few minor gripes:
1. Kitchen device manuals weren’t there as stated
2. No shower organiser. We bought one and left it behind
3. One of the bed covers had skid marks on it
4. Fire alarm went off the day we left, and no one attended to it. There was no sign of smoke or fire in the emergency stairwell or on the landings. We placed a call to An Island Apart, who told me how to silence the alarm—-there was no evidence of any concern about the nature/cause of the alarm, which is a bit disturbing

tolle lage mitten im alten teil von funchal, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete und helle attikawohnung. schöner ausblick über die altstadt bis zum hafen. bushaltestellen in unmittelbarer nähe. wermutstropfen: verkehrslärm, besonders in der frühe, wenn die busse vorbeirattern.

Als erstes Lage der Unterkunft und Dachterrasse sind super, sehr Zentral.
Der Check in und die Unterkunft selbst war aber leider eine Katastrophe. Im Vorfeld etliche emails, SMS, links bekommen wegen Zugangscodes und Keybox, etwas nervig…. Zugang bis ins Foyer und Keybox alles wie beschrieben aber dann… Wir wollten über die Treppe ins 5. OG Treppenhaus nicht ausgeschildert aber gefunden. 5 Etagen hoch. Schlüssel passt nicht auf Tür, wieder runter. In Aufzug rein 5 lässt sich nicht anwählen. Wieder Treppe hoch bis 5. Etagen Geräusche aus Appartement, mehrfach angeklopft, Reinigungskraft öffnet und sagt dauert noch 15 Min. Wir sollen anrufen. Auf Notfall Nr. Niemand erreicht, Chat begonnen. Währenddessen gesehen das im Aufzug seitlich (nicht beschriftet ) ein Schloss ist wo Schlüssel passt für 5. anzuwählen. Wohnung ramponiert, Stockflecken in Dusche, aufgequollen Türen. Wände von Putzmittel verfärbt, Wc Rollenhalter aus Wand gerissen. Und mehr,dringende Renovierungsarbeiten nötig!

Excellent apartment with really fantastic terrace.

It’s very well located next to everything you could need- 3 min to supermarket etc.

Everything worked well in the neat little kitchen.

My only gripe would be that it’s not a double bed but two singles pushed together creating an uncomfortable seam. Perhaps a mattress topper would help!

This is a really lovely apartment in a great location with all amenities within walking distance. Communication was great for check in and check out. The apartment was spotless and the lift opening straight in is a nice touch. Beautiful views from the spacious balcony area too. Would highly recommend and hope we get the opportunity to stay here again.

This was a perfect location in Funchal near everything. Lots of great restaurants within a walking distance. The roof deck was great as well.

If you're renting a car, I recommend dropping off your luggage first by temporarily parking right next to the apartment building on Rua 31 de Janeiro. After that you can find a more permanent parking spot. We used the parking garage near the cable car station.

Het is een mooi apartement en de fotos kloppen. Het zal prima zijn voor een verblijf van een paar dagen tot een week.....wij waren er 3 weken. Locatie en uitzicht perfect. Dekeuken is goed uitgerust behalve de mix en match rommeltje van glazen.Dat zijn de plus punten .
Het late incheck van 16:00 is niet echt prettig , vooral omdat je koffers elders in de stad bewaard worden ( wij kwamen 09:30 's morgens aan ). Na een paar dagen kregen wij problemem met de parasol. Zondag een bericht verzonden erover . Binnen een uur antwoord dat iemand de volgende dag het zou controleren/vervangen. Niet dus . Schoonmaak zou dinsdag plaatsvinden. De sleutelbos voor alle apartementen las 's morgens boven op de wasdroger in de openbare wasruimte ... geen huishouding aanwezig. Ineens waren zij bezig in de onderliggend apartementen maar om 17:00 nog niemand bij ons in de penthouse ...ook no niemand voor de parasol. Nu lagen de sleutels van alle apartementen op het tafel in he hal beneden. Ik heb geprobeerd te bellen om dit en hun andere fouten te melden ....een paar keer..... GEEN GEHOOR! . Tk stuurde dan een 'sterk gewoord' bericht over de situatie. 15 minuten later een schoonmaak ploeg en daarna iemand voor de parasol. Bericht van An Island Apart ...sorry , zij waren de penthouse vergeten. Na twee meer bezoeken van de onderhouds man hadden wij een bruikbaar parasol. Ik meldde ook bij hem dat de toiletrol holder in de badakame los hing ( al toen wij aankwamen) Hij hangt nog steeds los!.
Het is duidelijk dat onze reservering voor dezelfde apartement voor 3 weken in maart 2003 geen optie meer was en ging op zoek naar een alternatief. Na een paar dagen is dat gelukt in een ander prachtig penthouse op een top locatie ...3 keer groter en nog €400 goedkoper . Ik annuleerde de reservering bij An Island Apart vanochtend net voordat wij vertrok uit het apartement.

The apartment was in a fantastic location and the outside space is great. All in all very clean and exactly as it said. Communication with An Island was extremely efficient, they also have a great guest portal so that we could book taxis and they recommended things to do , events and restaurants etc. All this made our stay very enjoyable.

Das Apartment ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet alles was man sich für einen guten Urlaub wünschen kann.
Bei Ankunft war der Aufzug defekt! So mussten wir 4 Stockwerke mit dem gesamten Gepäck über die Treppe in das Appartement, was sehr beschwerlich war!
Wir sind am Freitagabend angereist, haben den Verwalter über den Ausfall des Aufzuges informiert. Der Aufzug wurde am Montagmorgen repariert.

Was initially quite confused about how to access the penthouse flat as there were no details in the check in info that you have to insert the key into the lift to access the 5th floor.

It is spotless on arrival, it had a superb balcony with great views. The floor to ceiling window/doors onto the balcony from the bedroom and living area make it light and airy.
The beds are comfortable. All the appliances are Bosch, all in excellent condition.
There is good quality outside furniture, although the cushions need a good clean.
Really good location - close to the old town for restaurants, five minutes walk to the supermarket, buses, seafront.
No-one explained the need for a key to use the lift to the apartment. (Lift opens straight into apartment.)
There are no drawers or shelves in the bedroom or bathroom, anything that wasn't suitable for hangers had to be left in the bottom of the wardrobe. There was plenty of room for drawers there.
There were no saucepans, no grill pan, no roasting dishes making the excellent cooker ineffective.
The wasn't a salad bowl. In reality there wasn't too much in the way of bowls or jugs.
We had to ask for some maintenance, which was quickly seen to, but our complaint about the saucepans and so on was not even commented on.
The oven set the smoke detector off and the fire alarm sounded which evacuated the building. We had to contact the rental company as no-one came out to reset it. The engineer who came after our call out said it had happened before.
The bathroom is poorly ventilated and by the end of our three weeks holiday mould was forming on the shower wall, no cleaning equipment is supplied so it had to remain there.

This apartment really should get 5 stars, but it lets itself down.

Thought it was too good to be true ...but it wasnt! A small spartment but perfect space for one/two people to explore Funchal. Near supermarket, Cathedral and other sightseeing highlights, near buses for exploring out of town. Particularly enjoyed the terrace for relaxing and dining. Lucky enough to be there at Christmas so views of lights a bonus.

Noch besser als erwartet. Hier haben sogar die Bilder auf booking.com gepasst. Bei 4 Gästen eher für Familien geeignet. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Backofen und eine eigene Waschmaschine. Der Balkon ist riesig und bietet einen guten Ausblick. Der Clou ist allerdings der Fahrstuhl, der direkt in das Appartement geht.
Parkmöglichkeit: Parque 31 Janeiro ca. 8 Minuten zu Fuß kostet pro Tag €3.

Kleiner Tipp an den Reinigungsservice, auch mal unter den Betten fegen :-)

Fantastic location, clean, massive terrace, sun all day, black out curtains, comfy bed, good kitchen equipment, coffee maker, washing machine, 2 supermarkets ( 2 mins & 5 mins walk), apartment was cleaned and fresh bedding after the first week which was a lovely surprised
Cathedral clock chimes from 7am, bins located in the communal storage area needed to be emptied as bins were over spilling, apartment over looks main road so some traffic noise

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cet appartement roof-top. Et tout était... au top : équipement, décoration, propreté, accès, vue, sécurité, tranquillité, qualité du Wi-Fi et emplacement, c'était idéal. Situé en plein centre ville, à deux pas de la cathédrale et de la mer, tout près des rues commerçantes et des supermarchés Pingo Doce et Continente, il suffisait de descendre pour profiter des restaurants alentour. Et l'ascenseur privé arrivant directement dans l'appartement, c'est super. Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir effectuer le check-in plusieurs heures à l'avance, merci encore. Nous n'hésiterons pas à réserver à nouveau cet appartement dès que nous retournerons à Funchal, sur cette belle île de Madère, île aux fleurs et à la douceur de vivre.

Pretty good, but a little overrated. Parking near Independence Square is free for July 2021. Cafes, restaurants, a supermarket, a cable car, a port within walking distance. I recommend it.

Do espaço exterior, deck com as comodidades para fazer as refeições e com uma vista mar fabulosa!
Limpeza zero... uma vergonha! tive eu de ir buscar detergentes de limpeza para que se pudesse tomar duche numa cabine completamente suja. Cortinados dos quartos cheios de nódoas e encardidos, certamente que água é algo que não vêm há muito tempo. Numa altura destas em que todos os cuidados são poucos não se compreende. Também não estava à espera de não ter nenhum (zero) tipo de contato por parte da propriedade a não ser um email a informar o código para abrir a porta mas que foi esquecido de informar que a chave que estava dentro do cofre seria para colocar no interior do elevador para que o mesmo funcionasse, pois conseguíamos subir e descer para todos os pisos menos para aquele em que supostamente estaria o nosso apartamento. De referir que o acesso ao elevador era no interior do alojamento e tinha uma folga na porta de mais de dois dedos, sempre que o elevador funcionava ouvíamos pois "fosso" estava aberto! também a zona do quadro elétrico era um perigo com fios descarnados à mão de qualquer um. Enfim, a não repetir e a aguardar um reembolso pelo serviço de limpeza e compra de produtos! Penthouse um nome que sugere algum conforto extra e afinal foi apenas um engodo....

Limpeza zero... uma vergonha! tive eu de ir buscar detergentes de limpeza para que se pudesse tomar duche numa cabine completamente suja. Cortinados dos quartos cheios de nódoas e encardidos, certamente que água é algo que não vêm há muito tempo. Numa altura destas em que todos os cuidados são poucos não se compreende. Também não estava à espera de não ter nenhum (zero) tipo de contato por parte da propriedade a não ser um email a informar o código para abrir a porta mas que foi esquecido de informar que a chave que estava dentro do cofre seria para colocar no interior do elevador para que o mesmo funcionasse, pois conseguíamos subir e descer para todos os pisos menos para aquele em que supostamente estaria o nosso apartamento. De referir que o acesso ao elevador era no interior do alojamento e tinha uma folga na porta de mais de dois dedos, sempre que o elevador funcionava ouvíamos pois "fosso" estava aberto! também a zona do quadro elétrico era um perigo com fios descarnados à mão de qualquer um. Enfim, a não repetir e a aguardar um reembolso pelo serviço de limpeza e compra de produtos! Penthouse um nome que sugere algum conforto extra e afinal foi apenas um engodo....

Attention il n’y a pas de parking dans l’immeuble. Choisir le parking de pingo doce à côté, avec une carte c’est 5,50€ par jour au lieu de 10€.

Kattoterassille paistaa aurinko aamusta iltaan. Nautimme siellä aamukahvit auringossa lähes joka aamu, vaikka lähellä oli lukemattomia ravintoloita, mutta näkymät ylivoimaisesti paremmat tällä terassilla.
Terassilla olisi voinut olla aurinkotuolit.

Very brightful top floor apt with a large balcony with a nice sitting and relaxing area, overlooking the sea and the old town (the cathedral). Fabio ( staff member) was very helpful. Location.
It can be a bit noisy when a city bus is parked for 5-10 min on the other side of the street, with its engine running.

Enjoyed a week here at the end of November. The apartment is in my opinion in the best area of Funchal for having everything on your doorstep whether it be main tourist attractions, restaurants or the esplanade. All of this before I mention the balcony. What a lovely space to spend a couple of late afternoon hours every day just soaking up the sun with a glass of vino. If it is rest and relaxation you are after then this is the apartment for you. Highly recommended. DW 🌞🌞

Please beware, we stayed here for 2 nights, there was warm water the first day. After that there was not hot water, basically room temperature. The host refuses to acknowledge there was an issue or provide any credits. We had to take cold showers both days which is extremely uncomfortable. There was also a bit of dust on the bed and we even found a booger on the curtain. Overall the location is great but the host's unwillingness to take responsibility for the water issue was extremely upsetting.

Perfect location very central close to everything and you do have acess to all parts of the island good roads.
The flat perfect clean and everything you need and the view amazing all day.
Very good comunication with team and would recomend .
It was a shame the road was on contruction and it would make a bit of noise in the morning if you like to sleep in But i guess it will be finish soon. Hope so..

Bear in mind it is in the city so you will hear the hustle and bustle so individual noise tolerance plays a part.
There is no beach in Funchal so the penthouse is perfect for sun lovers, from rise till set its on the terrace😎.
Close to cable car and street toboggan which are a must, but its around an hours walk to the lido and tourist areas.
The apartment is nice and has everything you need with great views of the ocean, city and mountains, sitting watching the sun go down from the penthouse charges the soul.

Wie gesagt die Lage und der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist super. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und gepflegt und die Bilder versprechen nicht zu viel. Der Aufzug der direkt im Penthouse endet, ist schon etwas besonderes.
Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt, um Funchal etwas intensiver kennenzulernen, durchaus zu empfehlen.
Das Apartment war genau so, wie es auf den Bildern dargestellt wird.
Die Lage ist sehr zentral und man kann Funchal wunderbar zu Fuß erkunden. Der Nachteil an der Lage ist allerdings der Verkehrslärm, der auf der wunderbaren Terrasse leider deutlich wahrzunehmen ist. Der Lärm der Baustelle am Kanal, direkt beim Apartment, fließt dabei nicht in unsere Bewertung ein, dafür kann der Vermieter ja schließlich nichts.

The apartment is really stylish and has the perfect location, in the middle of Funchal. Unfortunately there was a construction site below the apartment and it was really loud in the morning. Hope that this is soon finished. Otherwise it was a really nice stay. I highly recommend this :)

This apartment is in a great central location within walking distance of most things in Funchal. The views are extensive and particularly at this time of the year are enhanced by the splendid show of Christmas lights. A nice quirk is that the lift opens right in the apartment.

We had such an amazing time at the penthouse! Gorgeous views from the balcony. Location is central to tons of shops and restaurants & near old town for the perfect experience, especially for our first time in Funchal. Parkeren kun je het best in het stopping Anadia. Voor 10 euro per 24 uur.
Cafés en restaurant direct vanuit de uitgang of anders binnen een paar 100 meter loopafstand.

Geweldige plek om jou vakantie hier te vieren. Gelegen op een geweldige plek midden in het centrum, je loopt zo overal naartoe. Daarnaast is het een heerlijk appartement waar je volledig tot rust kan komen. Wij hebben voor de gehele vakantie een auto gehuurd zodat we alles konden zien van het eiland (aanrader). Maar ook de stad funchal waar je heerlijk kan eten en genieten van alle mooie dingen op je heen is top!

Apartamento muy bien ubicado, cerca de todo, en la capital. Moderno, limpio y bien equipado.

Fàcil acceso para salir de la misma.
Es una isla que se puede visitar y los trayectos no terminan cansando. Somos madrugadores, por lo que salìamos. Regresàbamos a descansar y de nuevo dàbamos una vuelta por la tarde.

Very unhelpful when asked to store cases after 12 o clock check out.
They said it would be possible if we booked a return journey to the airport with them.
Told us to walk to their offices 15 minutes walk away up very step hills. Then on departure day found out they were closed due to bank holiday
No one present at apartment contact was by mobile phone only.
Apartment difficult for taxi who had to drop us on main road and point to steps down to front entrance.
I would not recommend them and would not use them again.

Our stay at the 31 January penthouse was good.the apartment was very clean although a bit small.the outside balcony was excellent. With good views. 2 sunloungers would have made it even better.
The main complaint I have is that there is nowhere to store luggage whilst waiting for airport pickup.
We were told to take our luggage to the offices on Rua Merces. Which is 15 minutes walk away.
The day before we were due to leave we phoned the offices to see what time we could bring our cases the following day and we're told that the offices would be closed all day due to a public holiday.this would have left us stranded at the offices with nowhere to leave our luggage.it was only by Sheer luck that we found out about this.
Your staff changed our taxi pickup to Rua Merces on a day when they should have known the offices would be closed. This caused us a lot of stress due to having to make an emergecy telephone call at the last minute to change the pickup point yet again.

We had to book a last minute place to stay and were incredibly lucky to have this penthouse apartment available for booking. We were checked in by Filipa, who was extremely sweet, thorough, and accommodating.

The apartment was just as pictured. It was comfortable and clean, the perfect relaxing place to come back to after hiking all day. We loved the rooftop patio and enjoyed simple dinners and breakfast with the amazing 270° views. The apartment is also conveniently located one block away from the Anadia Shopping center, where we parked our rental car overnight for €6/day and got groceries at the local grocery store.

Overall, a great stay and great hosts. I highly recommend this apartment and would not hesitate to book again.

We have just spent the last week in this lovely penthouse apartment. From the moment the lift opened directly into the apartment it exceeded our expectations. It is a stunning, modern, clean space with superb amenities. The roof terrace is spacious and it’s view is spectacular. The Penthouse apartment was everything one can wish for a holiday. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) fit in perfectly even though there was no much extra space. The roof terrace was so nice that we ended up dining more often at the apartment than in restaurants. Also location is great: lots of cafes and bars nearby, but also real local life, not only hotels with other tourists. Highly recommended!

Very nice apartment in an extremely central location. It was stocked with all amenities you will probably need and while it was studio-type, it had nice separation between sleeping area and living room / kitchen. The terrace was amazing, facing the sun whole day from sunrise to sunset.

André was extremely responsive and even took care of our transportation from and to the airport. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely book this apartment again if we would return to Funchal. Well, it's not the question of IF but WHEN :)

We stayed in the FAA penthouse apartment.

The apartment was very clean and is quite luxurious.
It is located very close to the harbour and most of funchal's touristic attractions can be reached by foot within a few minutes.
Supermarkets and a place to park a rental car can be found in the next street.

We highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to visit Funchal or is looking for a base to explore the beautiful island of Madeira.

The flat is wonderful! It has great views from the living room and even the bed! It is very stylish and has all the amenities you could think of! We enjoyed our stay and Andre‘s hospitality very much and hope to come back very soon!

Since the pictures on the website promised a lot – our expectations were very high, when we arrived – and they were perfectly met by everything. The communication was easy and we always got quick answers, the apartment is really beautiful and has an unforgettable view.
Also everything is near. The apartment is located between four important bus stations for local and cross-country trips, the teleferico is near and even the harbour for the ferry to Porto Santo is in walkable distance; and a lot of shops and restaurants of course.
We stayed 2 weeks and had a great time. After 1 week, the apartment was cleaned and we were provided with fresh towels. The kitchen appliances are all very good quality, and even the hair dryer is good and strong :)
It was always very nice to have breakfast or brunch "at home" on the terrace and look at the sea and the city. Even on days with cooler weather, it was possible to sit on the terrace because it is quite wind protected (intelligent architecture).
We can recommend the apartment to everybody – who likes to walk and get around by public transfer (we did not rent a car, driving and searching parking lots in the narrow and steep streets of Funchal old town did not feel like a nice holiday experience for us); and the apartment is so central that we did not miss a car at all – and took busses for our cross-country trips as well. The holidays in this beautiful apartment were a really beautiful and recreative experience.

The appartment was very cozy and nice and one important thing it is a new and modern equiped. It has perfect location close to all shops, central markets, restaurants etc. The terrace was spacy and well equiped so it was a pleasure to have a lunch, dinner with great view around.
We are family of 4, our childs were satitisfied too. Yes, I really can recommend this appartment.
