DIE NACHBARSCHAFT ÜBERBLICK
Die Gäste haben einfachen Zugang zu mehreren Restaurants (es gibt ein kleines Café direkt vor dem Gebäude), Geschäften, Einkaufszentrum und Supermarkt.
Die Wohnung liegt ganz in der Nähe des berühmten Bauernmarktes (Mercado dos Lavradores), des historischen Zentrums von Funchal (lokal als "Zona Velha" bekannt) und der Kathedrale. Von hier aus können Sie viele der wichtigsten Touristenattraktionen unserer schönen Stadt zu Fuß erkunden. (z.B. die Seilbahn, der Yachthafen von Funchal, das CR7-Museum, die Madeira Wine Lodge, etc...)

Der Strand von Barreirinha ist etwa zwanzig Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, wo Sie sich entspannen und in das kristallklare Wasser der Insel eintauchen können.

GETTING AROUND
Obwohl eine Aerobus-Haltestelle für An- und Abflüge vom Flughafen nur vier Minuten zu Fuß von der Wohnung entfernt ist, empfehlen wir den privaten Transfer-Service als die beste Option, um dorthin zu gelangen. Kontaktieren Sie uns im Voraus, um einen privaten Transfer mit unseren lokalen Partnern zu vereinbaren. Es ist billiger als ein Taxi am Flughafen zu nehmen!

SONSTIGE BEMERKUNGEN
- Nach portugiesischem Recht müssen alle Gäste einen gültigen Ausweis vorlegen. (z.B. Reisepass, Personalausweis).
- Der Check-in muss im Voraus geplant werden. Falls der Check-in nicht innerhalb von 48 Stunden vor der Ankunft geplant wird, müssen die Gäste die Verfügbarkeit unseres Teams abwarten.
- Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind vorhanden. Bei Bedarf können wir auch ein Kinderbett, einen Hochstuhl und eine Babybadewanne zur Verfügung stellen. Ein Erste-Hilfe-Kasten, ein Feuerlöscher und eine Feuerlöschdecke sind in allen Unterkünften vorhanden.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass für alle Personen, die in der Gemeinde Funchal übernachten, eine Touristengebühr erhoben wird. Für alle Gäste, die in Ferienanlagen und/oder Unterkünften übernachten und mindestens 13 Jahre alt sind, wird eine Gebühr von 2,00 € pro Person/Nacht erhoben, bis zu einem Maximum von 7 Nächten und einem Maximum von 14,00 € pro Person/Aufenthalt. Bei Ihrer Ankunft erhalten Sie einen Link zur Zahlung dieser Kommunalsteuer.

We spent a couple of nights in Funchal. The property is well located with walkable distance to restaurants and all places to visit. Cable car station is 10m walk. Even though the property looks compact on the photos it feels more spacious because of high ceiling. I wish I could open the window blinds which are outside, but it looks like is not possible.
Great accommodation for a few nights.

Enjoyed staying in this apartment. Located in the heart of Funchal. Keep in mind that it is difficult to find a parking spot near this apartment. WiFi is extremely slow and TV offers only cable channels (no YouTube or Netflix).

Die gute Lage
Das zimmer hat bei der Ankunft sehr stark nach Klor gerochen und im Badezimmer hatte es sehr viele Flecken an der Wand welche etwas unhygienisch sind.

It was very clean. There are all needed things for the kitchen and bathroom. The location is awesome. Supermarket and the beach are very close. Even though the beach is not the best in Madeira. The room was pretty big and beautiful. The internet is great.
Unfortunately, we got the room with the small balcony, not the one that is on the main photo. There was no place to dry our clothes after the beach.
The owners didn’t agree on us leaving the luggage for a few hours after check out. To answer my question if we can do so, they’ve just sent me a picture a local place to store the luggage.
To get into the apartment we had to go through the quest to understand how to get to the room.
It was a bit noisy from the cars.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön! Die Wohnung ist eigentlich wie auf den Fotos zu sehen. Liegt super in der Altstadt, wodurch man schnell vieles erreichen kann!
Der Kontakt mit An Island war sehr unkompliziert, schnell und freundlich.
Was uns sehr positiv aufgefallen ist, war der Service während unserem Aufenthalt. Nach fünf Tagen Aufenthalt wurde unsere Wohnung geputzt, das Bett neu bezogen und so weiter.

Świetna lokalizacja, wszędzie jest bardzo blisko. Przystanki, sklepy, atrakcje turystyczne, restauracje a nawet lokalny market. Apartament bardzo bogato wyposażony.

The location couldn't have been better, with a supermarket just around the corner and all the main attractions practically at our doorstep. Communication with the host (Joana) was excellent, she even has purchased a new bottle opener. It is also handy that you received the keys via the keybox so you can arrive any time of the day. Even though there is no one-on-one contact with the host, every guest receives their own personal cabinet with the check-in/out details, necessary codes as well as all the manuals and FAQ's by the hand.
The bathroom had constant sewage stink so it was less pleasant.

Very responsive staff when messaging online. Clean, comfortable apartment with good facilities and kitchen appliances/utensils. Very noisy throughout the night and early morning because it’s right on the main road. Had to have window open as so warm and didn’t want to use air conditioning (environmental reasons) but earplugs seemed to help! Great location. Overall really good!

j'ai logé au 3B. Le studio était beau, moderne, suffisamment spacieux, propre. Le lit très confortable (très très important pour moi). Calme malgré la proximité de la grande rue. J'ai apprécié tout particulièrement qu'il y ait quelques produits de base dans la cuisine (café, sel, sucre, huile, vinaigre, produit vaisselle, sacs poubelle). Et aussi dans la salle de bain, gel, papier wc). Un emplacement central proche de tous les centres d'intérêt. Les photos du studio telles que publiées sur le site sont conformes à la réalité.
Juste quelques détails. Une information plus détaillée sur l'utilisation des équipements électriques (notamment des volets car il y a beaucoup d'interrupteurs dans le studio). Aussi quelques informations sur les choses à faire à Funchal aurait été sympa.

Sehr zentrale Lage
Die Bilder sind absolut irreführend und zeigen die Wohnung im 5. Stock. Wir bekamen deine deutlich kleinere Wohnung im 3. Stock. Unser Balkon war so winzig, dass man sich nicht einmal hinsetzen konnte. Sauberkeit lies v.a im Bad zu wünschen übrig. Auf dem Balkon fanden wir Zehennägel der Vormieter. Parken in der Umgebung nicht möglich. Bett war sehr klein und unbequem. Gastgeber war schlecht erreichbar und vor allem schlecht organisiert.

As for the flat location and size, this is unfortunate as the main pictures of the building on the Booking.com platform highlight the good things on the building, then when you select the room you wish to stay in, you select a specific room on the platform and this specific room has its specific pictures and description, this is often overlooked not by the users fault but by the way the platform is designed, we have complained many times to Booking.com. Take into consideration that this property does not offer parking as an amenity and we always offer suggestions to the guests about parking nearby. Központi helyen van, legjobb kiindulási pont, ha be akarod járni a szigetet és felfedeznéd az óvárost. Parkolóház is közel volt, ahova a bérelt autót tudtuk lerakni. Egyszerű automatizált check-in és check-out. Mosó és szárítógépet is kihasználtuk.

Die Lage ist wirklich zentral und alles in Funchal ist gut per Fuß zu erreichen.
es gibt keinen Backofen. Ab dem 5 Tag kamen aus dem Bad extrem unangenehme Gerüche. Und die Sauberkeit der Dusche lässt zu wünschen übrig.

Das Apartment ist sehr zentral gelegen. ALLE wichtigen Orte (Zentrum, Busse, Shopping, Hafen) sind fußläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Sehr schöne Sicht durch große Fenster über die Dächer der Stadt, den Kirchturm und den Kanal. Geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet. ALLES wichtige an Ausstattung ist vorhanden (Herd, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank, Microwelle, Kaffeemaschine, alle Kochutensilien sowie Salz, Pfeffer, Olivenöl, Kaffeepulver.... und ein starker Fön). Sehr praktisch auch die Waschmaschine samt Trockner und Waschmittel. Wenn man mitten drin sein will im Leben, dann ist das hier der passende Ort.
Das Bad hatte leider kein Fenster und die Lüftung lief nicht lang genug um die Restfeuchte abzuführen. Daher feucht und leicht modriger Geruch, der durch das Offenstehenlassen der Tür aber schnell wegging. Dadurch das die Wohnung an einer stärker befahrenen Straße liegt, ist es etwas laut wenn die Fenster offen sind. Nachts ist aber sehr wenig Verkehr, so das das kaum stört. Das große Doppelbett ist sehr bequem - das Schlafsofa hingegen hat eine sehr dünne Matratze und war leider unbequem. Wir haben dadurch beholfen, die Matratze doppelt zu legen, was sie dann aber sehr schmal gemacht hat.

Die Unterkunft ist zentral gelegen, modern aber sehr clean eingerichtet. Die Wohnung war sauber. Der Zugang war durch Zugangcode sehr einfach gestaltet. Die Kommunikation über Mail verlief einwandfrei.
Die Lüftung im Bad funktionierte nicht einwandfrei. Dadurch war es sehr feucht und nach einer Zeit kamen dadurch unangenehme Gerüche auf. Das Apartment lag an einer Einfallsstraße und es war dadurch auch nachts sehr laut. Fenster haben den Schall wenig gedämmt.

De locatie was fantastisch. Zeer centraal gelegen midden in het centrum. In de buurt van winkels, supermarkten, restaurants en de markt. De kabelbaan en de boulevard zijn ook op loopafstand. Verschillende bushaltes in de buurt. Het appartement is daardoor goed bereikbaar. Ook de luchthaven bus stopt op 4 minuten lopen (5 euro enkele reis en 8 euro retour). Ik verbleef in het studio appartement met balkon met uitzicht op de zee. Modern ingerichte studio met grote ramen en balkondeuren, een goede keuken en badkamer. In het appartement was alles wat ik nodig had voor een prettig verblijf: keukengerei, magnetron, waterkoker, afwasmiddel, badschuim, haardroger, vuilniszakken etc. De interieurverzorgers waren heel behulpzaam. Ik verbleef hier twee weken en heb gewerkt vanuit huis. De Wi-Fi verbinding is stabiel en werkt goed. Fijn dat er ook een wasmachine en -droger zijn op de benedenverdieping van het gebouw.
Uit de wasbakken in de keuken en de badkamer kwam af en toe een rioollucht. Dit was te verhelpen door het water even te laten stromen. Weinig toiletpapier.

Everything was perfect and clean.. There is just, little bit noise from the street but the location is great, it's in the center and 5 minutes from the supermarket and 5 minutes from all bus stations. I can recommend this place 🙂

It was the perfect location to get to know the island. Everything is very close to the flat, making it super central. The beds where super comfortable. I had a few changes of my flight and the hosts where always available to help me and find a new solution. I am very grateful that this was my choice.

The apartment was very clean, exactly as pictured and the check-in process was very smooth and efficient.
Unfortunately the apartment smelt very unpleasant to me. Apparently it was the cleaning products used, however, despite airing out the apartment both afternoon and evening, the smell was too much for me (the bathroom in particular) and I elected to relocate to a different airbnb. But I understand from the host that other people have stayed in the apartment immediately before me and have not raised any concerns regarding the odour.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking and is well placed for exploring the city.
If you are a light sleeper I would recommend earplugs as the apartment overlooks a busy street which gets quite a bit of traffic noise both day and night.

Ausstattung waren ok und auch gut gemacht .
Die Appartements sind an einer viel befahrenen Straße . Also tagsüber ist das ein ungemein hoher Lärmpegel . Heißt man kann die Fenster kaum öffnen . Öffnet man sie , dann kommen die Auspuffgase rein . Absolut unangenehm . Ferner sind die Abflüsse im Badezimmer wohl zu trocken . Zumindest kommt dadurch zeitweise ein Übel riechender Gestank hervor , dem wiederum nur durch lüften beizukommen ist . Ich war eine Woche krank und war froh das wir Winter hatten , ansonsten wäre ich dort komplett eingegangen . Schade weil die Idee und die Art der Appartements top sind . Leider sind auch dort viele Alkoholiker und Drogenabhängige . Sie habe unten beim Eingang auch wohl des Öfteren uriniert und der Gestank war teilweise dementsprechend.

Greatly located in the heart of the city, nice kitchen (large fridge). Friendly host.
The wifi connection was poor, therefore I had to use massive data over the roaming rate.

Stylish apartment in a very central street in Funchal. The apartment was clean and the check-in was super smooth. Travel to Madeira has the whole process very well structured and efficiently implemented. They offered a lot of online help and information throughout our stay. The lady who did the check-in also gave us some precious tips. We enjoyed our stay very much. The street next to it, which is super busy during the day, is actually quiet at night, allowing us to sleep well. The window shutters, though, don't fully block the sunlight, but it was only disturbing after 8:30, which allowed us to sleep well until then.

Loved that it was a studio with kitchenette, that it was so clean and well equipped. Loved the location & great communication from staff.
The only problem we had was lack of hot water last few days, but appreciated the call out to look into it. Unfortunately there was still no hot water for our showers at 6am this morning - as we had early taxi at 7am. ☹️

Hosts are super supportive, they even got us parking - which btw was usefull for the remaining of the stay - best parking ever. :)
Cleaning could be more frequent.

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights at Travel Madeira FAA apartments and had a great time! The apartment is studio sized, perfect for a couple or single traveller. Everything in the suite was very new and professionally cleaned before our arrival. The bed was pretty good for our short stay and the shower was spacious. Our favourite part was the spectacular view of the sunset in the evening. Apartment is perfectly located, close to the old town, restaurants, and the sea. Definitely recommend!

En nuestro caso, el apartamento y la decoración era tal y como se muestra en las imágenes y el personal muy amable y atento. Lo mejor es que está muy bien localizado ya que se encuentra en el centro de Funchal, de todas formas es un lugar tranquilo, las vistas son buenas y está bien equipado y limpio.

Perfectly placed, close to the centre of life in Funchal and within walking distance of restaurants, bars and cultural attractions. Will definitely stay here again. Apartment is neat, modern and has all the required facilities/gadgets.
